Vasconcelos Public Library, in Mexico City, in a different way: beyond the impressive figures of this large library created in 2006, they give the floor to some of their users to tell how the library is already part of their daily lives. A mother of a family, an adult educator, a young woman with her two-year-old daughter, a homeless man and a victim of the 1985 earthquake in the Mexican capital are some of the voices that listen to the walls of the Vasconcelos Public Library

Lan honetan Baionan 2009-2011 bitartean gauzatu den NORANTZ datu-basearen aurkezpena dakargu, bidenabar haren bidez iker daitekeen gramatika puntu bat --pertsona komunztadura anizkuna-- testuinguru adierazgarrietan aztertuz. Datu-basearen helburua da Iparraldeko egungo euskal hiztun arrunten gramatika jokabide nagusiak biltzea, eskualde horretako euskara biziaren, edo, bestela adieraziz, honen oinarrian diren gramatikazko joeren irudi bat izateko. Lanaren lehen partean, datu-basearen aurkezpen orokorra egiten dugu, eta hau sortzeko izan diren arrazoiak eta erabili den metodologia azaltzen, datu-basearen mugak erakustearekin batera. La base de données NORANTZ : vers un observatoire des parlers basques d’Aquitaine

International audienceL’objectif du projet Norantz, réalisé entre 2009 et 2011 au centre IKER,8 a été d’offrir à travers une base de données, une image générale et synthétique de la grammaire des locuteurs bascophones du PBA, c’est-à-dire bilingues français-basques, en tenant compte de la diversité des types de locuteurs, et selon une méthodologie qui devait permettre sa répétition dans le futur, de façon à suivre les changements opérés ou en cours, et donc de créer les bases d’un observatoire de l’évolution de la grammaire des parlers basques de France

Aldaketak Prosodiaren Esparruan : Ikergaiak eta arazo metodologikoak

International audienceThe aim of this communication is to present the state of the research related to Basque prosody. On the one hand, after having defined the boundary of our reference field, the state of current researches will be presented. On the other hand, the focus will be put on some methodological issues that have been raised by experience grounded researches. This last question is directly related to change and evolution. These research works will be a part of an integrative project incorporating the whole Basque Country. The following aspects will be considered : prosody's fields, prosody's linguistic aspects (stress and intonation), paralinguistic aspects (attitudes), non-linguistic aspects (age, sex, physical state, emotions) and the characteristics of the fields of investigation that must be taken into consideration with today's Basque people (geographical, social, stylistic).Komunikazio honen helburua euskararen prosodiaren azterketen egoera aurkeztea da. Alde batetik, ikerketa esparru honen arloen mugapena egin ondoren euskararen azterketen egoera zertan den ikusiko da. Bestetik egin diren ikerketa batzuetako esperientzian oinarrituta aurkitu diren arazo metodologikoez jardungo dugu. Azken honetan aldaketa eta aldaeren arazoa bete-betean kokatzen da. Horrekin batera lan eremu hauek lantzeko Euskal Herri osoan abian daukagun proiektu baten berri emango dugu. Aztertuko diren arloetarik batzuk honako hauek izango dira : Prosodiaren arloak, prosodiaren arlo linguistikoa (azentua eta intonazioa), arlo paralinguistikoa (jarrerak), arlo ez linguistikoa (adina, sexua, egoera fisikoa, emozioak), egungo euskaldunekin gogotan erabili behar diren ezaugarriak azterketa eremuan (geografikoak, sozialak, estilistikoak)

Antropología, historia y creencias populares en torno a las momias conservadas en el País Vasco

La península Ibérica, por su situación con climas benignos y temperaturas elevadas durante el verano, es un lugar relativamente bueno para que se produzcan procesos espontáneos de momificación. Estas favorables condiciones medioambientales disminuyen de Sur a Norte en un tránsito que puede ser considerado como fundamental. Por ello, en la región Cantábrica y Sur Pirenaica no son frecuentes los cuerpos momificados, que solamente se localizan en edificios religiosos. A su vez adquieren un notable interés en la cultura y tradiciones populares a las que se vinculan con gran riqueza de manifestaciones y supuestas virtudes terapéuticas. These environmetal favourable conditions are dimished by a transit form North to South which can be considered as fundamental. Thus, in the Cantabrian and South Pyrenean region mummified bodies are not frequent and are only found in religious sites. At the same time they are highly present in the culture and folk traditions to which they offer a great variety of manifestations and assumed therapeutic virtues. Triethyl Citrate (TEC) as a Dispersing Aid in Polylactic Acid/Chitin Nanocomposites Prepared via Liquid-Assisted Extrusion

The production of fully bio-based and biodegradable nanocomposites has gained attention during recent years due to environmental reasons; however, the production of these nanocomposites on the large-scale is challenging. Polylactic acid/chitin nanocrystal (PLA/ChNC) nanocomposites with triethyl citrate (TEC) at varied concentrations (2.5, 5.0, and 7.5 wt %) were prepared using liquid-assisted extrusion. The goal was to find the minimum amount of the TEC plasticizer needed to enhance the ChNC dispersion. The microscopy study showed that the dispersion and distribution of the ChNC into PLA improved with the increasing TEC content. Hence, the nanocomposite with the highest plasticizer content (7.5 wt %) showed the highest optical transparency and improved thermal and mechanical properties compared with its counterpart without the ChNC. Gel permeation chromatography confirmed that the water and ethanol used during the extrusion did not degrade PLA. Further, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy showed improved interaction between PLA and ChNC through hydrogen bonding when TEC was added. All results confirmed that the plasticizer plays an important role as a dispersing aid in the processing of PLA/ChNC nanocomposites.The authors gratefully acknowledge Bio4Energy, Kempestiftelserna, and Wallenberg Wood Science Center (WWSC) in Sweden for the financial support of this work.
