Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar Matematika Tentang Sifat-Sifat Bangun Datar Dengan Menggunakan Metode Permainan Tebak Kata Pada Siswa Kelas V SDN 02 Dawung Kecamatan Matesih Kabupaten Karanganyar Tahun Pelajaran 2012 / 2013
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika tentang sifat-sifat bangun datar pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Dawung Kecamatan Matesih Kabupaten Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2012 / 2013 melalui penggunaan permainan tebak kata.
Jenis penelitian ini termasuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subyek dalam Penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar pengamatan, soal tes , kartu tebak kata, serta daftar nilai kelas V SD N 02 Dawung. Teknik Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan analisis kritis dan analisis komparatif.
Hasil penelitian ini, data awal siswa yang memiliki kegigihan sebanyak 33,33%, orientasi pada hasil sebanyak 28,57%, tanggung jawab sebanyak 33,33%, inovasi sebanyak 23,81%, dan nilai siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan minimal 7,00 adalah 47,68%. Pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan pada kegigihan 52,38%, orientasi pada hasil 52,38%, tanggung jawab 47,62%, inovasi 33,33%, dan siswa yang nilainya di atas KKM 71,43%. Pada siklus II mencapai indikator keberhasilan penelitian dimana siswa yang memiliki kegigihan 95,24%, orientasi pada hasil 85,71%, tanggung jawab 71,43%, inovasi 61,90%, dan siswa yang nilainya di atas KKM 85,71%. Dengan demikian dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan permainan tebak kata dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika tentang sifat-sifat bangun datar pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Dawung Kecamatan Matesih Kabupaten Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2012 / 2013

The number of female civil servant has increased significantly nowadays. However, this opportunity yet to be followed by the opening access for women in the structural and strategic position. The research aims to discuss factors that inhibit women's careers. The research was conducted in Nangroe Aceh Darrusalam. The result shows that ambiguous feelings, lack of confidence and social support environment as well as dominance of patriarchal culture and structure inhibit women's career in bureaucracy. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan proses belajar adalah
cara belajar / gaya belajar siswa. Gaya belajar setiap siswa berbeda-beda. Lain
ladang, lain ikannya. Lain orang, lain pula gaya belajarnya. Pepatah tersebut
memang pas untuk menjelaskan fenomena bahwa tak semua orang punya gaya
belajar yang sama. Termasuk apabila mereka bersekolah di sekolah yang sama
atau bahkan duduk di kelas yang sama. Pada penelitian ini dibatasi pada visual
dan kinestetik. Perbedaan antara siswa visual dan siswa kinestetik dalam
memahami mata pelajaran IPS mempengaruhi prestasi belajar yang diperoleh.
Secara teoritis siswa visual dianggap akurat dalam pembelajaran IPS tetapi di
lapangan secara pengajaran IPS yang diterapkan lebih pada cara belajar kinestetik.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar siswa visual
maupun siswa kinestetik yang kemudian hasil rata-rata keduanya akan
dibandingkan untuk mengetahui perbandingan prestasi belajar IPS antara
keduanya.
Salah satu cara agar siswa mudah dalam melakukan aktivitas belajar adalah
dengan mengetahui metode belajar yang baik. Metode belajar yang mesti dikuasai
oleh siswa diantaranya adalah mengetahui gaya belajar yang dimiliki oleh siswa
itu sendiri, sehingga prestasi belajar lebih mudah dan efektif dilakukan. Dengan
mengetahui metode yang tepat kita dapat mengetahui gaya belajar mana yang
lebih baik diterapkan dalam memahami IPS yang cenderung abstrak.
Berdasarkan hal diatas, penulis terdorong untuk mengetahui perbandingan
prestasi belajar IPS antara siswa visual dengan siswa kinestetik di SMP Negeri 13
Kota Cirebon tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan
metode eksperimen, dengan menggunakan random sampling dan terpilih kelas VII
B dan VII C sebanyak 82 siswa. Kelas VII C adalah kelas eksperimen sedangkan
kelas VII B adalah kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan
adalah dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes.
Prestasi belajar IPS siswa SMP Negeri 13 Kota Cirebon yang menggunakan
gaya belajar kinestetik lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang menggunakan gaya
belajar visual. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil perhitungan bahwa nilai pvalue
= 0,001 , = 0,05 maka dengan level lebih besar dari pada p-value (0,05
> 0,001) mengidentifikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara
siswa yang menggunakan gaya belajar visual dengan siswa yang menggunakan
gaya belajar kinestetik, yang bisa dilihat rata-rata kelas eksperimen 71,71 lebih
tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang memiliki rata-rata 60,37
An Effective Performance Appraisal System as Perceived by Officers of Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad
The purpose of this study is to examine shortcomings and characteristics
of an effective performance system development as perceived by the officers of
BBMB. A total of 123 officers consisting of managers, deputy managers and
accountants from the region of Wilayah Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur have been
selected using stratified random sampling technique.
Data collection was approached in two modes i.e. by using a personal
face-to-face interview and structured self-administered questionaires. Data were
analysed with the use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS).
Frequencies and percentages were employed in descriptive analyses while the
relationship between the socio-employment variables and Performance Appraisal
System (PAS) variables was analysed by using Pearson Product - Moment
Correlation.
The results of the study revealed that there are a number of major
shortcomings of the current PAS which need to be addressed by the Bank in
developing an effective PAS. It is further concluded that an effective PAS should
comprised of performance planning process, performance coaching process,
performance review process and performance appraisal process. There is no significance differences on responses of male and female respondents towards
the planning process, coaching process, review process and performance
appraisal process. However, there were significant differences between
managers' and executives' responses towards coaching and reviewing processes.
On the other hand length of service is negatively related to planning process and
therefore long service officers do not see planning process as a characteristic of
an effective PAS.
The study as a whole supported the existing concepts, appraisal
approaches, models and research on PAS. It is also contributed significantly to
the understanding of the characteristics of an effective PAS. As for the Malaysian
environment is concerned, the study can be described as explanatory or as a
bench-mark attempt to empirically look at the characteristics of an effective PAS.
The study has therefore recommended further research undertaking on replication
of the current study to cover other region in order to provide more concrete
findings and conclusions in relation to characteristics of an effective PAS, to carry
out study on external factors that affect the effectiveness of PAS and finally to
explore the development of performance based rewards syste
Teaching English Vocabulary Through Pictures To Pre-Elementary School Students: A Case Study In TKIT Yaa - Bunaya Sragen 2004 / 2005
Teaching English vocabulary to children is very useful especially to introduce simple English words. Teaching English through pictures is more effective, because children like pictures. Besides that, the children enjoy more and are attracted to learn. In the research, the writer is describing the implementation of teaching English vocabulary through pictures to children in pre-elementary
school. The objectives of the research are to describe the activities of the teachers and the students in the impelementation of teaching vocabularies using picture, to
describe the kinds of problems faced by the teachers and the students in teaching vocabulary through pictures at Yaa-Bunaya pre-elementary school, and to find the strengths and weaknesses of teaching vocabulary through pictures.
In her research, the writer uses three techniques: observation, interview, and field notes. To get the data, the writer Yaa - Bunaya pre-elementary school to observes teaching-learning process. The writer did the observation from February 2005 until April 2005. The writer interviewed the headmaster and the teacher, to know more deeply about everything related to the research problem. Based on the teaching observation, the result of teaching vocabulary
through pictures is satisfying. It can be proved from the students’ activities in the classroom, students’ motivation and interests. Based on the interview, the writer can conclude that there are some weaknesses found in the application of the method. First, the teacher is lack of developing the way of teaching English through pictures. Second, the schools pay less attention the facilities for
supporting the teaching of English. The writer concludes that by using pictures, the students can learn vocabulary easily

The purpose of this research is to know: 1) the influence of self-concept toward the interest of becoming teacher, 2) the influence of teacher's perception toward teacher's interest, 3) the influence of self concept and teacher's perception of teacher's interest. Population in this research is student of class of 2014 of Accounting Education UMS as many as 237 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling as many as 142 respondents. Data obtained by documentation and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis was performed by multiple regression techniques, including t-test, F-test, R2 test, relative and effective donation. The results obtained: (1) self-concept has a significant effect on the interest of the teacher proved by the t-count value of 10.648> t-table 1,960 and the probability of 0.000 t-table 1,960 and probability 0.000 F-table 3,000 and the probability of 0.000 <0.05. (4) Self concept variable gives relative contribution 73% and effective contribution 48,7%. Variable perceptions of teacher profession give relative contribution 27% and effective contribution 18%. R2 calculation result is 66,7%. This means that the self-concept variables and perceptions of the teacher profession give the effect of 66.7% of the interest to become teachers, the remaining 33.3% influenced by other variables
