Impact of environmental and genetic factors on the scale shape of zebrafish, Danio rerio (Hamilton 1822): A geometric morphometric study
Intraspecific morphological variability may reflect either genetic divergence among groups of individuals or response of individuals to environmental circumstances within the frame of phenotypic plasticity. Several studies were able to discriminate wild fish populations based on their scale shape. Here we examine whether the variations in the scale shape in fish populations could be related to genetic or environmental factors, or to both of them. In the first experiment, two inbred lines of zebrafish Danio rerio (Hamilton 1822) reared under identical environmental conditions were compared. Secondly, to find out what effect environmental factors might have, offsprings were divided into two groups and reared on different diets for 12 weeks. Potential recovery of scales from an environmental effect was also assessed. Experimental groups could successfully be distinguished according to the shape of scales in both experiments, and the results showed that both genetic and environmental factors may notably influence scale shape. It was concluded that scale shape analysis might be used as an explanatory tool to detect potential variability of environmental influences impacting genetically homogeneous groups of fish. However, due to its sensitivity to environmental heterogeneity, the applicability of this technique in identifying intraspecific stock membership of fish could be limited
MOBILE APPLICATION NFC IN WAREHOUSE PROCESSES
This thesis presents an application that enables automatic execution of the storage process. It is made for NFC (Near Field Comunication) technology use for mobile devices with Android operating system and allows simple product identification. Warehouses usually still use paper documentation that can be partly or totally replaced by the electronic version, while for labelling and identification they use barcode or QR (Quick Response).
In our thesis, we used short range communication devices, NFC tags that label products and smart phones with the implemented NFC module for the execution of the storage process. Paper documentation was replaced by electronic XML (Extensible Markup Language) format and was located in files on a server. The mobile application gets the information using the RESTful web services and enables product identification, sorts the products out and provides stock overview. Some important characteristics of its usage are the reduction of the required time for implementation of individual procedure, simplifying warehouse supervision and most of all the wide use of mobile phones for practical work in business processes. Acquisition of fundamental motor skills in connection vith music by preschool children
V magistrskem delu z naslovom Usvajanje temeljnih gibalnih spretnosti v povezavi z glasbo pri predšolskih otrocih smo v teoretičnem delu izpostavili: gibalne spretnosti in razvoj glasbenih sposobnosti ter integracijo med gibanjem in glasbo.
Namen magistrske raziskave je bil ugotoviti, kakšen je učinek dveh programov vadbe na usvajanje temeljnih gibalnih spretnosti in razvoj ritmičnega posluha pri predšolskih otrocih. V naprej zapisanih programih sta skupini iz vrtca Oton Župančič Maribor (enota:Oblakova) izvajali predpisan program. Ena skupina je izvajala dejavnosti po gibalnem programu in druga po gibalno-glasbenem programu. Kontrolna skupina iz vrtca Velenje je izvajala program po Kurikulumu, ki si ga je zastavila vzgojiteljica oddelka. Merjenje temeljnih gibalnih spretnosti in ritmičnega posluha je potekalo v inicialnem in finalnem stanju. Zanimalo nas je, ali bodo otroci eksperimentalne skupine (Vrtec Otona Župančiča Maribor), ki so vključeni v enega izmed dveh programov, bolje usvojili začrtane temeljne gibalne spretnosti in bolj razvili ritmični posluh kot otroci kontrolne skupine (vrtec Velenje). Ciljno smo želeli raziskati, s katerim izvajanim programom: z gibalnim ali gibalno-glasbenim programom bo končni učinek na usvajanje TGS (temeljne gibalne spretnosti) in na razvoj glasbenih sposobnosti (ritmični posluh) uspešnejši.
V eksperimentalni skupini je sodelovalo 35 otrok, v kontrolni skupini 27 otrok, skupaj 62. Otroci so bili stari 5–6 let. Z vnaprej določenimi dejavnostmi smo želeli dokazati, da je integracija v vrtcu zelo pomembna in pripomore k razvoju določenih sposobnosti in spretnosti, v našem primeru razvoj TGS (temeljnih gibalnih spretnosti) in ritmičnega posluha. Ugotovili smo, da so otroci eksperimentalnih skupin (gibalnega programa in gibalno-glasbenega programa) dosegli večji napredek v razvoju temeljnih gibalnih spretnosti in glasbenih sposobnosti kot otroci kontrolne skupine. Največji napredek, smo ugotovili, se je pojavil pri gibalno-glasbenem programu, ki je bil najučinkovitejši za razvoj temeljnih gibalnih spretnosti in glasbenih sposobnostih (ritmični posluh).In the master’s thesis entitled Acquisition of fundamental motor skills in connection with music by preschool children we emphasized in the theoretical part: movement skills and development of musical abilities and integration between movement and music.
The purpose of the master’s thesis was to determine the effect of the two exercise programs, the acquisitions of fundamental motor skills and the development of rhythmic hearing by pre-school children. In the previously written programs, the groups from the kindergarten Oton Župančič Maribor (Unit: Oblakova) performed the prescribed program. One group performed activities according to the movement program and the second group according to the motion-musical program. The control group from the kindergarten Velenje, implemented a program according to the curriculum, which was set by the educator of this department. Measurement of fundamental motor skills and rhythmic listening took place in the initial and final state. We were interested in whether the children of the experimental group (kindergarten Oton Župančič Maribor), included in one of the two programs, would better adopt to the set down fundamental motor skills in develop a rhythmic listening, as the children in the control group (kindergarten Velenje). We have targeted to explore with which program: Motion or motion-musical program, will be more successful the final effect on fundamental motor skill adoption and on the development of musical skills.
In the experimental group, 35 children participated and in the control group 27 children, a total of 62. With predetermined activities, we wanted to prove that integration in the kindergarten is very important and helps to develop certain abilities and skills in our case, the development of fundamental mobility skills and rhythmic listening. We found out that the children of the experimental groups (the motion program and the musical program) achieved greater progress in the development of fundamental motor skills and musical abilities, as the children of the control group. The greatest progress, we found that it appeared in the musical program, which was most effective for the development of fundamental motor skills and musical abilities (rhythmic listening)
The effect of foot muscle strength training on the longitudinal foot arc
Cilj magistrskega dela je bil ugotoviti vpliv vadbe moči mišic stopala na vzdolžni stopalni lok. Zasnovali smo vadbeni program za trening moči stopalnih mišic, ki ga je merjenka izvajala 18 tednov. Izvajala je pet vaj po ekstenzivni bodybuilding metodi in maksimalni metodi z namenom znotraj-mišične aktivacije. Pred začetkom in po koncu izvajanja vadbenega programa smo opravili merjenje. Izmerili smo telesno višino, telesno težo, zapisali starost merjenke, izmerili pasivni navikularni padec, dinamični navikularni padec, aktivno gibljivost v gležnju v smeri dorzalne in plantarne fleksije ter inverzije in everzije. Ugotovili smo, da je bil pri drugem merjenju pasivni navikularni padec leve noge, glede na prvo merjenje relativno večji kakor pri desni nogi. Dinamični navikularni padec leve noge prvega merjenja je bil večji kakor pri drugem merjenju. Dinamični navikularni padec desne noge prvega in drugega merjenja je bil enako velik. Aktivna dorzalna fleksija v gležnju se je pri drugem merjenju leve noge zmanjšala, desne noge pa povečala. Aktivna plantarna fleksija v gležnju leve noge je bila pri obeh merjenjih enaka, pri desni nogi pa se je pri drugem merjenju povečala. Aktivna inverzija v gležnju leve noge je bila pri obeh merjenjih enaka, v gležnju desne noge pa se je pri drugem merjenju povečala. Aktivna everzija v gležnju, se je pri drugem merjenju povečala pri obeh nogah. Naše ugotovitve nakazujejo, da smo z izbranim 18-tedenskim vadbenim programom stopalnih mišic, pozitivno vplivali na vzdolžni stopalni lok v smeri pasivnega navikularnega padca, medtem ko pri dinamičnem navikularnem padcu nismo zaznali pozitivnih vplivov vadbe. S tem smo sprejeli hipotezo H01 in ovrgli hipotezo H02. Prav tako smo ugotovili, da je naš vadbeni program pozitivno vplival na aktivno gibljivost v gležnju, zato smo sprejeli hipotezo H03.The aim of our research was to assess the impact of foot muscle strength training on the longitudinal arch of the foot. We designed foot muscle strength training, which the subject performed for 18 weeks. She performed 5 exercises, according to the extensive bodybuilding method and the method of maximal load. Prior to commencing and after completing the strength training, we conducted measurements. We measured body height, body weight, recorded the age of the subject, measured passive navicular drop, dynamic navicular drop, active ankle mobility in the direction of dorsal and plantar flexion, inversion and eversion. We found that in the second measurement, the passive navicular drop of the left leg was relatively greater than in the right leg compared to the first measurement. The dynamic navicular drop of the left leg in the first measurement was greater than in the second measurement. The dynamic navicular drop of the right leg in the first and second measurements was the same. Active ankle dorsiflexion decreased in the second measurement of the left leg and increased in the right leg. Active plantar flexion in the ankle of the left leg was the same in both measurements, but in the right leg it increased in the second measurement. Active inversion in the ankle of the left leg was the same in both measurements, but in the right leg it increased in the second measurement. Active eversion in the ankle of the left and right leg was greater in the second measurement. Our findings indicate that the selected 18-week foot muscle training program positively influenced the longitudinal foot arch in terms of passive navicular drop. However, no positive effects of the exercise were observed in dynamic navicular drop. Consequently, we accepted hypothesis H01 and rejected hypothesis H02. Additionally, we observed a positive effect of our training program on active ankle mobility, leading us to accept hypothesis H03
Ergonomic assessment of biomechanical work loads in emergency vehicle
Uvod: Številni zaposleni v Nujni medicinski pomoči (NMP), ki delajo na terenu, imajo težave z mišično-skeletnim sistemom. Posledično je večja tudi možnost funkcionalnih okvar. Reševalec v reševalnem vozilu izvaja diagnostično-terapevtske postopke v dolgotrajni sedeči drži, pri čemer se sooča z vibracijami vozila. Namen magistrskega dela je bil opredelitev fizičnih obremenitev pri delu in zavedanje o pomembnosti lastne drže.
Metode: V teoretičnem delu zaključnega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo, kjer smo z analizo znanstvene in strokovne literature primerjali že obstoječa dognanja. V empiričnem delu magistrske raziskave, smo izvedli raziskavo. Zbiranje podatkov je potekalo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika na temo ergonomske obremenitve reševalcev med delom.
Rezultati: V raziskavi smo potrdili že znana znanstveno strokovna dognanja o vplivu ergonomsko tehničnih pripomočkov na zmanjšanje obremenitev. Z anketo smo dokazali, da delo zaposlenega v NMP predstavlja visoko stopnjo tveganja za obolenja kostno-mišičnega sistema, ne glede na tehnike dvigovanja in dela.
Razprava: Potrebno bi bilo vrednotenje dela na mestu in ne le anketiranje oziroma vrednotenje delovišč. Največ ergonomskih nepravilnosti, neupoštevanja oziroma neuporabe ergonomsko-tehničnih pripomočkov se zgodi ob nujnih življenjsko ogrožajočih stanjih. Hkrati bi bilo glede na že znana dejstva prepoznati poklicne bolezni zaradi obremenitve mišično-skeletnega sistema.Introduction: Many Emergency Medical Service (EMS) staff working in the field have problems with the musculoskeletal system. Consequently, the possibility of functional impairments is also higher. A paramedic performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the ambulance in a long-term sitting position while fighting the vibrations of the vehicle. The purpose of the master\u27s thesis was to define physical loads at work and to be aware of the importance of one\u27s own posture.
Methods: For the theoretical part of the project, we used a descriptive work method where we compared the existing findings with the analysis found in existing scientific and expert literature. We conducted the research in the empirical part of the master\u27s research. Data collection was carried out with the help of a questionnaire on the topic of ergonomic load of paramedics during work.
Results: In the research, we confirmed the already known scientific and expert conclusions about the impact of accessories on load reduction. The survey proved that the work of a paramedic poses a high risk for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, regardless of lifting and working techniques.
Discussion: It would be necessary to evaluate the on-site work and not just surveys or paper evaluation of work sites. Most irregularities, non-compliance or non-use of accessories occurs in urgent life-threatening situations. At the same time, according to the already known facts, it would be possible to identify occupational diseases due to the load on the musculoskeletal system
Internal motivation in routine activities and giftedness
Diplomska naloga z naslovom Notranja motivacija pri rutinskih dejavnostih in nadarjenost nam bo predstavila, kako pomembno vlogo imajo vzgojitelji pri odkrivanju nadarjenosti v predšolskem obdobju ter predvsem opazovanje tega, kako so nadarjeni otroci motivirani za rutinske dejavnosti, ki so velik del ne samo vrtca, vendar na sploh pomembna v življenju. Prav o tem bomo govorili v diplomski nalogi, katera je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. Na začetku teoretičnega dela predstavljamo nadarjenost, kako jo prepoznamo, kdo so nadarjeni otroci, kakšne lastnosti imajo ter kakšne vrste motivacije pri njih zasledimo. V nadaljevanju je predstavljena motivacija, vrste motivacije ter različni deli dnevne rutine s katerimi se otroci srečujejo vsakodnevno v vrtcu. Opredeljena je vloga vzgojitelja, kaj je njegova naloga in kaj predstavlja delo z nadarjenimi otroci. V empiričnem delu bomo izvajali dejavnosti v vrtcu pri OŠ Lovrenc na Pohorju, s katerimi bomo v petih dneh poskušali ugotoviti kaj pri rutinskih dejavnostih otroke najbolj pritegne ter predvsem katere otroke. Ugotavljamo tudi, kako krepimo medvrstniško pomoč ter spodbujanje vsakega otroka.The thesis entitled Internal motivation in routine activities and giftedness will present the important role that educators play in discovering giftedness in preschool and especially observing how gifted children are motivated for routine activities that are a big part of not only kindregarten, but generally important in life. This is what we will discuss in the thesis, which consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part starts with an introduction to giftedness, how it is recognised, who gifted children are, what characteristics they have and what types of motivation we see in them. Motivation, types of motivation and the different parts of the daily routine that children face on a daily basis, both in kindregarten and at home, are presented below. It defines the role of the educator, what is his task and what it means to work with gifted children. In the empirical part, we will carry out activities in the kindergarten at the Lovrenc na Pohorju Primary School, with which we will try to find out in five days what attracts children the most in routine activities and, above all, which children. We are also finding out how we strengthen peer support and encouragement for every child
Optimization of a store business based on RFID
V diplomski nalogi smo se ukvarjali z optimizacijo oskrbne verige s tekstilnimi izdelki. Analizirane podatke smo predstavili grafično, tabelno in z besednim opisom. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili osnovne pojme v povezavi s poslovnimi procesi v trgovini in RFID. V praktičnem delu smo opisali obstoječe stanje podjetja, ki vključuje vse procese od prevzema do prodaje izdelkov. Opisali smo obstoječo tehnologijo, ki je v uporabi. Sprememba stanja je bila opravljena na podlagi kritične analize obstoječega stanja. Naše predloge smo podali na enostaven in učinkovit način v slikovni, tabelarni in besedni obliki. Na koncu smo opisali pričakovane učinke, ki bi jih lahko prinesle naše spremembe v poslovanje podjetja. Opredelili bomo tudi možnosti za nadaljnji razvoj trgovskega podjetja.In this thesis we are going to deal with optimization of supply chain with textiles goods. Analyzed data is going to be graphic, table and word describtion presented. In theoretical part we are going to present basic concepts in connection with business processes in the shop and RFID. In practical part we are going to describe current condition of a company, which includes all processes from receiving goods to sales. Current used tehnology is going to be also discribed. A change of current condition is going to be made on the basis of critical analysis of current condition. Our suggestions is going to be given in a simple and effective way in graphic, table and word form. At the end we are going to describe the expected impacts which could bring our changes in a business performance. We are going to define opportunities for the further development of commercial enterprise

Influence of hip joint\u27s flexibility on appearance of spine injuries in gymnastics
Namen in cilji diplomske naloge so bili raziskati pojavnost poškodb hrbtenice (ledvenega dela) pri slovenskih telovadcih, telovadkah in ugotoviti ali je gibljivost kolčnega sklepa, v smeri upogiba in iztega, vzrok za tovrstne poškodbe. Prav tako smo želeli raziskati, ali gibljivost v kolčnem sklepu odstopa od normativov za splošno populacijo ter razlike v razponu upogiba in iztega kolčnega sklepa med oz. znotraj telovadnih panog. Naša raziskava je en izmed prvih korakov k urejanju normativnih vrednosti v telovadbi v obsegu upogiba in iztega v kolčnem sklepu, zaradi česar smo se zanjo tudi odločili. V raziskavi smo spremljali in izmerili 55 merjencev. Od teh je bilo 18 tekmovalcev moške tekmovalne orodne telovadbe (MŠG), 10 ženske tekmovalne orodne telovadbe (ŽŠG) in 27 tekmovalk tekmovalne ritmike (RG). Prvi del raziskave je predstavljalo enoletno opazovanje tekmovalcev in tekmovalk in beleženje njihovih osebnih podatkov, podatkov treningov in poškodb. Drugi del raziskave je predstavljalo merjenje pasivne gibljivosti kolčnega sklepa (iztega in upogiba), ki je bilo izvedeno s postopkom goniometrije. V enem letu se je med 55-imi merjenci poškodovalo 33%. 40% pri ŽŠG, najmanj - 28% pa pri MŠG. Vsi merjenci so pri upogibu v kolčnem sklepu presegali normativno vrednost (120˚), pri iztegu pa je normativno vrednost (25˚), presegla samo RG. Pri upogibu je bila statistično značilna razlika od normativa pri vseh panogah, pri iztegu pa je bila samo pri MŠG, tako na levi kot na desni strani. Izteg je bil pod normativno vrednostjo. Statistično značilne razlike v gibljivosti leve in desne strani kolčnega sklepa so se pojavljale med MŠG in ŽŠG na levi strani pri upogibu, pri upogibu in iztegu desne strani ter iztegu leve strani pa med MŠG in RG. Statistično značilna razlika med gibljivostjo leve in desne strani kolčnega sklepa (simetrija) je bila samo pri upogibu RG, pri MŠG in ŽŠG pa statistične razlike ni bilo. Poškodovani so imeli večji razpon upogiba na obeh straneh kolčnega sklepa, pri iztegu pa so imeli večji razpon na obeh straneh kolčnega sklepa nepoškodovani, vendar statistično značilnih razlik med poškodovanimi in nepoškodovanimi v gibljivosti (upogib in izteg) obeh strani kolčnega sklepa ni bilo. Statistično značilne razlike so se pojavile pri upogibu leve strani kolčnega sklepa nepoškodovanih med MŠG in ŽŠG in pri upogibu desne strani kolčnega sklepa nepoškodovanih med MŠG in RG. Podatki so lahko izhodišče za načrtovanje in izvedbo preventivnih treningov, v smeri nestabilnosti kolčnega sklepa zaradi prevelike gibljivosti oz. v smeri povečanega tveganja za nastanek poškodbe zaradi premajhne gibljivosti.The purpose and goals of this final degree thesis were to investigate the appearance of spine injuries (lumbar spine) in Slovenian gymnasts as well as to assess whether the flexibility of the hip joint – in directions of bend and stretch – affects these injuries. Another goal was to assess whether the hip joint flexibility differs from the normal values of the general population, as well as find the differences in the range of bend and stretch of the hip joint in between different types of gymnastics. Our research is one of the primary steps in determining normal values in the range of bend and extension in hip joint. This was the key reason why we decided to complete the research. The research population consisted of 55 individuals – 18 of those participating in men\u27s artistic gymnastics, 10 in women\u27s artistic gymnastics, and 27 in rhytmic gymnastics. The first part of this thesis is based on a one-year observation of these individuals and analysis of their personal data, as well as practice and injury information. The second part of the project revolves around measurement of passive hip joint flexibility. The measurements were taken using goniometry. 33% of participants got injured during the one year of observation. The group with the highest percentage of injuries is women\u27s artistic gymnastics (40%), followed by men\u27s artistic gymnastics (28%). All participants\u27 measured values of hip joint bend exceeded the normal values. However, the normal values for ejection were met only by the participants belonging to the rhythmic gymnastics group. Statistically significant differences between flexibility of the left and right sides of the hip joint appeared between men\u27s and women\u27s artistic gymnastics group during the bend on the left side. Another set of statistically significant differences appeared between men\u27s artistic gymnastics group and rhytmic gymnastics on the hip during the bend and stretch on the right and during the bend on the left side. Statistically significant difference between the range of bend and stretch on the left and the right side of the hip joint (symmetry) only appeared during the bend of rhythmic gymnastics group – there were no significant differences with other groups. The injured population have a larger range of bend on both sides of the hip joint. On the contrary, healthy population had a larger range of extension on both sides of the hip joint. Nonetheless, there were no statistically significant differences between injures and healthy population in terms of both bend and extension on both sides of the hip joint. Statistically significant differences only appeared during the left hip bend of the healthy population between men\u27s artistic gymnastics and women\u27s artistic gymnastics, as well as during the right hip bend of healthy population between men\u27s artistic gymnastics and rhytmic gymnastics. Results can be the starting point for planning and carrying out preventive training, in the direction of instability of the hip joint due to excessive flexibility or in the direction of an increased risk of injury due to insufficient flexibility
