野生ヒメネズミにおける高地性右心室肥大の低地順応

Chronic exposure to high-altutude causes right ventricular hyper　-trophy in variety of animal species. We thus investigated the changes of heart　weight and cardiac muscle fibers of high-altitude (alt. 2400m) native mice especially when transferred to low-altitude (alt. 650m). In this experiment，t he comparative study of the heart was done among the four groups. The first group was high-altitude native mice (H group，n =5)，t he second group (high-altitude native mice) was transferred to low -altitude and reared there for 18 months (HL group，n =4)，th e third group was born from high-altitudenative parentsat low-altitude and grown up there (HL-F1group，n=6)，the fourth group was low-altitude native mice (L group，n =8). In all cases，th e hearts were removed and separated into two parts of the right (RVW) and the 1eft(LVW) ventricular walls. Then，th e cross sectional area of the ventricular musclefiberswere examined. The results were as follows: (1) The cardiac or right ventricular hypertrophy and thehypertrophyof right ventricular musclefiberswere found in high-altitude native mice. (2) By transferring the high-.altitude native mice to the low-altitude，th e hypertrophied heart，r ight ventricle and right ventricular muscle fibers reached to the low-altitude levels. < Reports > Report of the 2022 Summer Intensive Japanese Language Education to Support Ukrainian Students: Possibilities for Foreign Language Education

外国語としての日本語教育が果たす役割と成果と可能性を主張する。日本語学習者と教授者の観点から、期せずして日本語が必要になったウクライナ人学生に対する支援として、日本語教育を専攻とする日本語母語・非母語話者からなる大学院生チームによる日本語集中コースを事例として紹介する。筑波大学では、ウクライナ侵攻を受け、2022年12月までにウクライナ学生を30名以上の学生を受け入れている。7月から9月に渡日したウクライナ学生の日本語レベルは様々であり、複数レベルのクラス対応、また文化紹介のアクティビティも交えて行った内容、そして、学習者および教授者のアンケート回答と本コースの意義を報告する。The role and possibilities for teaching Japanese as a foreign language will be discussed from the perspectives of learners and instructors. As a case study of support for learners who unexpectedly need Japanese language instruction an intensive Japanese language course offered by a team of graduate students majoring in Japanese language education and composed of native and non-native speakers of Japanese will be presented. The University of Tsukuba will have accepted more than 30 Ukrainian students by December 2022 following the invasion of Ukraine. Since the Ukrainian students who entered Japan between July and September had various levels of Japanese the course provided multi-level class support and activities to introduce the culture. EVALUATION OF THE FROST HEAVE RESISTANCE OF REINFORCED SOIL WALLS USING GEOCELL AND GEOGRID IN COMBINATION

北海道のような寒冷地に構築されたコンクリート擁壁，テールアルメ工法や多数アンカー工法といったコン クリート製の壁面材を用いた補強土壁，更には鋼製壁面材とジオテキスタイルを用いた補強土壁についても， 壁面側から寒気が入り込むことによって背面の土が凍上し，凍上力によって壁面材が損傷したり，壁面材と補 強材が切断されるといった被害事例が報告されている．そこで，より追従性の高い壁面材としてジオセルを活 用し，これとジオグリッドを組み合わせた新開発の補強土壁を北見工業大学敷地内に試験的に構築した．本文 では，施工や計測に関する詳細を報告するとともに，凍結から融解に至るまでの変位や地中温度等の各種計測 結果から本補強土壁の耐凍上性を検証し，現時点では崩壊に直結するような変状は見られないことを確認した．journal articl

FREEZING AND THAWING BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED SOIL WALLS BUILT IN A COLD REGION

抄録 北海道のような寒冷地では，剛な壁面材を用いた補強土壁だけでなく，鋼製枠とジオテキスタイルを用いた補強土壁でも，盛土材の凍上に伴う被害事例が報告されている．そこで，本研究では壁面材としてジオセルを活用し，これとジオグリッドを連結させた新しい補強土壁を試験的に構築し，鋼製枠を用いた補強土壁との比較も行いながら，これまで2シーズンに及ぶ温度・変形等の計測を行っている．また，計測結果を踏まえ，凍結領域内におけるジオグリッドの変形について検証するための室内模型試験も実施した．その結果，計測結果の比較検討から，この補強土壁が鋼製枠に比べて寒冷地に適した点を有することが確認された．また，室内模型試験から，低拘束圧域に敷設されたジオグリッドに関して，周辺土の凍結融解によって変形が部分的に集中して生じる可能性は低いということが分かった．journal articl
