    Energy transfer process in gas models of Lennard-Jones interactions

    We perform simulations to investigate how the energy carried by a molecule transfers to others in an equilibrium gas model. For this purpose we consider a microcanonical ensemble of equilibrium gas systems, each of them contains a tagged molecule located at the same position initially. The ensuing transfer process of the energy initially carried by the tagged molecule is then exposed in terms of the ensemble-averaged energy density distribution. In both a 2D and a 3D gas model with Lennard-Jones interactions at room temperature, it is found that the energy carried by a molecule propagates in the gas ballistically, in clear contrast with the Gaussian diffusion widely assumed in previous studies.     The effect of discrete breathers on heat conduction in nonlinear chains

    Intensive studies in the past decades have suggested that the heat conductivity κ\kappa diverges with the system size LL as κLα\kappa\sim L^{\alpha} in one dimensional momentum conserving nonlinear lattices and the value of α\alpha is universal. But in the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-β\beta lattices with next-nearest-neighbor interactions we find that α\alpha strongly depends on γ\gamma, the ratio of the next-nearest-neighbor coupling to the nearest-neighbor coupling. We relate the γ\gamma-dependent heat conduction to the interactions between the long-wavelength phonons and the randomly distributed discrete breathers. Our results provide an evidence to show that the nonlinear excitations affect the heat transport.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure

    Catalytic Activity of Ni/CeO2-ZrO2@SiO2Core-Shell Structure for Steam Reforming of Toluene

    本文通过结构导向法制备一系列不同壳层厚度的Ni/Ce-ZrO2@SiO2催化剂,并将其应用到生物质焦油模型甲苯的蒸汽重整反应中。采用XRD、SEM、TEM和XPS等对催化剂的形貌及结构进行表征。结果显示,多孔SiO2层的存在能显著提高催化剂的性能,能通过修饰Ni的能带结构,改善Ni的本征活性并改变产物分布。SiO2壳层厚度对催化剂的性能也有影响,在一系列不同壳层厚度的Ni/Ce-ZrO2@SiO2催化剂中,壳–核质量比为0.5的催化剂表现出最高的催化活性,该催化剂在650℃和700℃下对甲苯的催化转化率分别为62%和85%
