Societal implications of great Hanshin-awaji earthquake disaster of January 17, 1995
A brief overview of what happened during the first month after the Hyogoken-nambu earthquake of January 17, 1995 is given in terms both of the emergency responses initiated and the societal impact. For emergency responses, formal organization responses are discussed in reference to "Saigai taisaku kihon-ho (the Fundamental Disaster Management Law)" and "Saigai kyujyo-ho (the Disaster Relief Law)". Using the Kobe Fire Department as an example, search and rescue efforts as well as fire suppression activities are reviewed. The post-quake emergence of a voluntary building damage assessment program is discussed. In terms of the societal impact, the deaths and injuries caused by this earthquake, provision of shelters and related housing measures are discussed. The early restoration planning initiated by Kobe City also is briefly introduced
Phase Characteristics of Scattering Transfer Functions by a Sphere
散乱体による散乱音場の研究は, 頭部伝達関数の推定や室内伝達関数の変動予測などに重要である. 特にR.Lyonは球体散乱音場伝達特性が, 最小位相特性を有すると予測した. 本論文では, 剛球および軟球による散乱音場の位相特性を数値的に解析し, R. Lyonの予測を検証した. その結果, (1)剛球散乱音場における散乱波は, 球体前方では最小位相特性を有し後方では非最小位相信号であること, (2)球体後方では遠方になるにつれall-pass成分が減少し, 次第に最小位相特性に漸近すること, (3)軟球の散乱波は観測点によらず最小位相特性を示すことを明らかにした. また, 球体散乱波を全零モデルで近似し, 散乱波の位相特性の変動を零点の軌跡によって解析した. 反射波と回折波からなる散乱波は, 球体後方では反射波に比べ回折波のエネルギーが大きく, 観測点が球体前方へ移動するにつれて反射波のエネルギーが大きくなる. これによって, 球体後方から前方になるにつれ複素周波数平面上で虚軸上の零点が非最小位相から最小位相に変化することがわかった. 散乱波は低周波領域を除けば最小位相特性になり, 球体散乱波の実測実験によっても確認された
ONE NEW SPECIES AND ONE NEW RECORD SPECIES of EIRENIDAE FROM THE TAIW AN STRAIT,CHINA
记述了采自台湾海峡软水母亚纲lEPTOMEduSAE HAECkEl,1866、和平水母科EIrEnIdAE HAECkEl,1879 1新种,无疣杯水母PHIAlOPSIS AVErruCIfOrMIS SP.nOV.和我国海域1新纪录种,母芽侧丝水母HElgICIrrHA MEduSIfErA(bIgElOW,1909),对其形态特征进行描述。模式标本保存于国家海洋局第三海洋研究所。The samples of Eirenidae were collected from the Taiw an Strait,China( 20.85°- 27.06° N,114.92°- 121.24°E) during July 2006 and Jan.2007.One new species of Phialopsis averruciformis sp.nov.and one new record species of Helgicirrha medusifera( Bigelow,1909) are described in the present paper based on the type specimens from the T aiw an Strait,China.The specific diagnosis of the new species is as follows.我国近海海洋综合调查与评价(908专项)(908-ZC-Ⅱ-02;908-01-BC07;908-02-0102;908专项海洋生物样品库); 国家海洋局“全球变化与海气相互作用专项”资助~

A case of adrenal pheochromocytoma with contralateral adrenocortical adenoma
症例は59歳男性.近医にて糖尿病と診断され食療法, 薬物療法を受けた.MRI, CTで非対称性の副腎腫大を呈し, 静脈サンプリングにて両側副腎静脈のカテコールアミン値が高値であったため両側副腎の褐色細胞腫を疑い, 手術目的で入院した.全身麻酔下で両側副腎摘除術を施行した.その結果, 右側が褐色細胞腫, 左側がホルモン非活性副腎皮質腺腫であった.術後, hydrocortisoneのホルモン補充を開始した.術後も糖尿病の病態に変化は認められなかった.経過は順調で退院した.現在, 糖尿病の管理と共に経過観察中であるA case of a pheochromocytoma in the right adrenal gland and adrenocortical adenoma in the left adrenal gland of a 58-year-old male is reported. The patient was incidentally found to have a right adrenal tumor by ultrasonographic study. A computerized tomographic (CT) study and magnetic resonance image (MRI) study revealed bilateral adrenal tumors. The sizes of the right tumor and left tumor were 2.5 x 3.5 cm and 1.2 x 1.0 cm, respectively. The intensity of each tumor was different on T2-weighted MRI. 131I-MIBG scintigram showed the uptake of right adrenal gland. The existence of pheochromocytoma was confirmed by the elevated levels of catecholamines. We performed venous sampling to be certain whether the patient had unilateral or bilateral pheochromocytoma. As a result, bilateral adrenal pheochromocytoma was diagnosed. Therefore, we performed bilateral adrenalectomy. However, histopathological examination revealed right pheochromocytoma and left non-functioning adrenocortical adenoma
