Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Analysis of Tooth Profiles Based on Line of Action
在研究直齿圆柱齿轮啮合原理的基础上,提出了面向啮合线的齿轮齿廓设计方法。建立了面向给定啮合线的齿轮齿廓的数学模型;并以啮合线为椭圆形状的齿轮齿廓设计为例;验证了设计方法的合理性和正确性,最后计算了利用该方法设计出的齿轮的重合度,并与相同参数的渐开线齿轮进行了比较。研究结果表明:通过给定的啮合线形状设计齿轮齿廓比直接给定齿廓形状更容易控制齿轮的啮合性能。On the basis of research on engagement principle of spur gear drive,a design method of tooth profile based on line of action is presented.The mathematical models,including the equation of action line,the equation of the tooth profile for the driving gear,and the equation of the conjugate tooth profile,are established based on the meshing theory.The simulation result of the specific example demonstrates the design method is correct and feasible.The contact ratio of the proposed gear drive is calculated.A comparison study of the contact ratio with the involute gear drive is also carried out in this work.It will be better to control the performances of a gear set by specifying the shape of action line rather than specifying tooth profiles of mating gear.国家自然科学基金项目(51205335;50975242); 福建省高校产学合作科技重大专项项目(2011H6024); 福建省教育厅项目(JB11175)资
Research on Generation and Simulation of the Cosine Gear
提出了一种加工余弦齿廓齿轮的新方法———滚铣两步加工法。首先采用普通滚齿机滚切出能够完全包裹余弦齿轮的渐开线齿轮,然后采用三轴联动数控铣床进行精加工。分析了加工余弦齿廓的基本原理,建立了滚切加工中齿轮最小模数的数学模型,得出了三轴数控铣齿成形的通用运动控制模型。利用MATlAb软件进行了计算机仿真,验证了模型的正确性和加工方法的可行性。A new method to manufacture the cosine tooth profile is presented in this paper.The first step is to generate an involute tooth profile by using an involute hobbing cutter.Secondly,a milling cutter is used to generate the cosine tooth profile on a three-axis NC milling machine.The generation principle of the cosine tooth profile is analyzed.The mathematical model of the minimum modulus using in the first step is established.The motion controlling model of generation of three-aixs NC milling machine is obtained.The simulation results of the machining process,obtained by the software Matlab,demonstrate its feasibility to manufacture the cosine tooth profile.国家自然科学基金(50975242);福建省自然科学基金(2009J01268);厦门市科技计划项目(3502Z20093038);福建省教育厅项目(JB11175)资
旋转凹模冷镦机弧面凸轮分度机构设计与仿真
建立了旋转凹模冷镦机弧面凸轮分度机构的数学模型,并结合实际应用情况设计了弧面凸轮分度机构参数,选取了弧面凸轮轮廓曲面运动规律。最后通过具体实例,使用Pro/E、Matlab对弧面凸轮工作轮廓面进行参数化建模,使用ADAMS建立弧面凸轮分度机构动力学模型,并对其运动性能进行了模拟仿真。研究表明,弧面凸轮分度机构作为旋转凹模冷镦机传动件在高速工况下运动平稳、停歇期定位精度达到36″
Research on tooth profile design of spur gears based on line of action

Time:December 27, 2012 - December 28, 2012.This paper aims to propose a design method for tooth profiles of spur gears based on given line of action. A simplified derivation of the mathematical model of tooth profiles is introduced according to the meshing theory. Tooth profiles of spur gears, using a parabola as line of action, is established. The result shows that it will be better to control the performances of a gear set by specifying the shape of the line of action rather than specifying tooth profiles of mating gear. ? Mathematical model of slotting manufacture and simulation for cosine gears
A slotting method for cosine gears was proposed by using the involute cutter based on the conjugate theories of digital surface and gear meshing. The slotting model between the cosine tooth surface represented by discrete points and the cutter figuration determined by analytic function was built for their geometrical relationship and conjugate motion during the machining process. Conjugate points in the cutter section corresponding to the discrete points on the cosine gear tooth surface and the conjugate movements were solved. By using the flexible control of the CNC procedure, the active control of the cutting trace of the slotting cutter was accomplished and the envelop forming of the cosine gear was obtained. Based on the software C++ and Matlab, the computer aided manufacturing (CAM) system of the cosine gear was developed, and the simulation of the slotting process was accomplished. Several examples were provided to illustrate the approach.
