Densitometric measurement of total body fat and total body water in male adults.
Densitometry was performed on 54 male medical
studentsCaverage age: 21.4 years). In another group
of 10 male subjects Cage: 34.5 yr.) measurements
were made on the total body water by means of
antipyrine dilution and densitometry in the same
subjects. Values of body fat and body water calcu'
lated from the body density and total body water
coincided each other with considerable accuracy.
CTable 2) The following figures for the standard
reference body of male Korean were obtained:
average age of 21.4 years. 167.5 em in height and
57.2 kg in weight. body density 1.067. total body
fat 12.8% body weight, total body water 63.8%
body weight

The moderating effect of trust on the relationship between air force pilot’s organizational conflict and turnover intention
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of intrapersonal, interpersonal and individual-group conflict on turnover intention and the moderating effects of organization, supervisor and colleague trust. We surveyed 333 air force pilots and employed multiple linear regression analysis and hierarchial regression analysis.
The findings are as follows: organizational conflict has a significant positive effect on turnover intention; trust has moderating effect on the relationship between intrapersonal conflict and turnover intention; colleague trust has a moderating effect on organizational conflict. In particular, this study shows that colleague trust has influence on the positive relationship between intrapersonal conflict and turnover intention. Based on these findings, we suggested the implications of this study and the necessary practical measures of HRD on the organizational level
Effect of Perphenazine Hydrochloride on the Prolactin Cells of Rat Pituitary Glands
The effect of perphenazine hydrochloride on the
prolactin cells of rat pituitary glands and mammary
glands were studied. Virgin rats which had been
primed with 0.2ml of estradiol for 10 days or not
primed were injected with perphenazine intraperitoneally
for 1 day or repeatedly every 5 days for 15
days. Sections of pituitary glands from them were
carried out to stain the prolactin cells immunohistochemically
using the specific anti-prolactin and antiRGG
labeled with peroxidase. Sections of mammary
glands were stained with hematoxylin and eosin .
Cell counts were made from 10 representative section
of corresponding levels of each gland. and the following
results were obtained.
Even in lower dose of perphenazine. 3mg/day for
1 day. releasing effect of prolactin granules were
apparent. Perphenazine produced a significant
decrease in prolactin cell counts and in the intensities
of staining reaction which were recovered
20 days after injection to almost same levels of
control group.
The higher doses of perphenazine also developed
the proliferation of lobulo-alveolar structure of the
mammary glands. In estradiol-primed rats either
lower or higher doses of perphenazine could revealed
the same findings in both of pituitary and mammary
glands.
There were significant increase in adrenal weight
and decrease in ovarian weight
An Experimental Study on he Blood Picture and the Lymphocyte Transformation in Autoimmune Thyroiditis.
Recent interests h. autoimmune diseases with
investigations on its ifIh…mological character elucidated
the nature of variou.; human disorders such as
Sj6rgens disease, S. L. c. pernicious anemia. rheum
atoid arthritis, chronic thyroiditis. especially of
Hashirr.oto s lyphocytic ty /,c and other diseases, yet
the pathogenesis is not fu1Jy clarified
The authors attempted an experimental study for
further elucidation of the pathogenesis of autoimmune
thyroiditis. The lymphocytes from rabbits sensitized
with homologous thyroid extract and/or adjuvant
was cultured in the presence of homologous thyroid
and the peripheral blood pictures during the sensiti
zation antigen and non-specific stimulant PHA. The
rates of lymphocyte transformation in 72• hour cultures
were analyzed. The results are summerized as
follows:
I. Changes of hemoglobin values and peripheral
leucocytosis of each experimental group were slight,
however the leucocytosis and relative lymphocytopenia
were observed in the group sensitized with a mixture
of homologous thyroid extract and Freunds adjuvant
2· The transformation of peripheral blood lymphocytes
of normal rabbits in the presence of homol
ogous thyroid extract was 、ery few and almost negl
igible
3. Lymphocytes of rabbits sensitized with thyroid
ext;:-act showed evidently higher transformation rate
than that of unsensitize:l normal rabbits in the
present:e of homologous thyroid extract, he'; e'.'er
these lymphocytes showed almost same degree of
transformation rates in the presence of PHA as in
unsensitized normal groups of rabbits.
4. Transformation rates of lymphocytes of either
group sensitized with Freunds adjuvant or homologous
thyroid extract showed similar results when cultureJ
with either the thyroid extract or PHA in vitro
5. Lymphocytes from the rabbits sensitized with a
mixture of homologous thyroid extract and Freund S
adjuvant gave higher transformation rates than that
of any other groups.
6. Lymphocytes sensitized with homologous thyroid
extract showed variable rates of transformation
according to the indivisuality of the rabbits. It is
thought that these variabilities are due probably to
the degree of sensitization or susceptibility of indi
visual rabbit to the PHA or the antigens.
It is summerized that the rate of blastogenesis of
rabbit lymphocytes stimulated by thyroid extract and cultured with thyroid extract or PHA is similar
to that of adjuvant stimulated, while that of thyroid
extract with adjuvant is remarkably higher than
'the above two experimental groups. This results
suggest that the specific and non-specific stimulation
of T -lymphocytes may be closely related to the
pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroiditis
