The purpose of this paper is to describe the municipal changing patterns of occupational structure and there regional arrangement in a local labor market area. The changing patterns of occupational structure are controlled the labor market of Kofu City. Many labor market areas overlap each other in this region largely centering on Kofu City. By using the data of the population censuses and the agricultural censuses for the years 1960, 1970 and 1980, occupational types by industries and part-time former types were determined by applying the Weaver's method modified by Doi. The major findings are summarized as follows : (1) The occupational structure by municipalities changes from low level to high level as time passes. (2) Local labor market area of Kofu City has more or less a circular pattern, higher level occupations being located nearer to the central place. (3) As time passes, agricultural elements begins to decrease first around the central city then in the outer regions. Reversely, manufacturing elements tend to diffuse into the outer regions, followed by wholesale and retail trades, and services follows thereafter. (4) In general, occupational structures in municipalities differ in the eastern part of the labor market area from the western part. (5) At the fringe of the circular pattern, various occupational structure appear, since the labor market power of Kofu City becomes weaker there. (6) Employment types of the part-time farmers takes a changing patterns from the central city to the fringe areas. “K”, “KH”, “HK” and “H”, where “K” means commuter dominance, “KH” commuter over daily employment, “HK” daily employment over commuter, and “H” daily employment dominance.論説ARTICLESdepartmental bulletin pape

Online EEG-Based Emotion Prediction and Music Generation for Inducing Affective States

    No full text
Music is often used for emotion induction because it can change the emotions of people. However, since we subjectively feel different emotions when listening to music, we propose an emotion induction system that generates music that is adapted to each individual. Our system automatically generates suitable music for emotion induction based on the emotions predicted from an electroencephalogram (EEG). We examined three elements for constructing our system: 1) a music generator that creates music that induces emotions that resemble the inputs, 2) emotion prediction using EEG in real-time, and 3) the control of a music generator using the predicted emotions for making music that is suitable for inducing emotions. We constructed our proposed system using these elements and evaluated it. The results showed its effectiveness for inducing emotions and suggest that feedback loops that tailor stimuli to individuals can successfully induce emotions.journal articl

The Origin of the Azar Kayvan School: The Artificial Ancient Iranian Vocabulary and Zoroastrian Pahlavi Uzwarišn in the Delhi Sultanate India

    Get PDF
This is a study devoted to the origin of the school of Āzar Kayvān (d. 1618), the legendary medieval Irano-Indian sage to whom numerous works on ancient Iranian sacred book(s), ancient Iranian vocabulary, and Persian Sufism were attributed. Among those diverse fields, this article is an étude into relatively uncharted territories: the creation of “ancient Iranian vocabulary” and understanding of Zoroastrian Pahlavi Uzwārišn (Aramaic heterograms). Scholars who were already familiar with the Āzar Kayvān school thought that their “ancient Iranian vocabulary” was formed by Āzar Kayvān himself in Safavid Iran in the late 16th century or Mughal India in the early 17th century. But in 2020 a study by Ṣādeghī argued that there were indeed some distinctively clear precedent cases of “ancient Iranian vocabulary” and Zoroastrian Pahlavi Uzwārišn in a Persian dictionary edited in Bihar, India in 1519. If so, it seems safe to say that a large-scale acceptance of ancient Iranian culture and falsification of “ancient Iranian vocabulary” took place in northern India at the end of the Lodi dynasty. Indeed, however, the direct evidence of Ṣādeghī is one lithograph of a Persian dictionary. In this paper, the author aims to refine Ṣādeghī’s points by comparing and examining other manuscripts of the same Persian dictionary, two preceding Persian dictionaries, and one Persian dictionary immediately following it. As a result, it was found that the lithograph used by Ṣādeghī contained artificial ancient Iranian vocabulary and Uzwārišn that were not found in earlier manuscripts, indicating that it may have been added by later generations. The acceptance of ancient Iranian culture and falsification of “ancient Iranian vocabulary” at the end of the Lodi dynasty should be denied. However, it has been confirmed at the same time that some artificial ancient Iranian vocabulary dates back to the Persian dictionary of the early Sayyid dynasty. If this is the case, it can be determined that the origin of this artificial ancient Iranian vocabulary dates back to at least the early 1400s. It was also confirmed that the knowledge of Uzwārišn was reflected in the Persian dictionary 200 years later, during the Mughal Empire. The reception of ancient Iranian culture and lexical forgery in medieval India is a cultural phenomenon that spans a considerable time span.journal articl

Additional file 11: Figure S8. Distribution and expression levels of p-γH2A.X and RAD51 after KDM6A overexpression and endogenous localization of KDM6A during mitosis. A. p-γH2A.x protein level in untransfected and KDM6A variants transfected T-24 cells. Note, that even in strongly overexpressed KDM6A WT cells, p-γH2A.X was not increased, but strongly so in KDM6A JmjC and ΔTPR cells. B. Endogenous localization of KDM6A (CST antibody, 2nd antibody goat-anti-rabbit AbStar red) as imaged with Leica STED SP8 in HBLAK cells. For STED, the sample was depleted with 35% of 775 nm laser. C. RAD51 proteins were detected at a persisting chromatin bridge of two daughter cells, with cell 1 being KDM6A ΔTPR positive. Image was taken with Abberior STED, excitation laser 640 nm 5% and depletion laser 775 nm with 40%
