Experimental Evidence of Molecular Activated Recombination in Detached Recombining Plasmas

Molecular activated recombination (MAR) has been clearly observed for the first time in a divertor plasma simulator. A small amount of hydrogen gas puffing into a helium plasma strongly reduced the ion particle flux along the magnetic field, although the conventional radiative and three-body recombination processes were quenched. Careful comparison of the observed helium Balmer spectra with collisional radiative atomic and molecular data indicates that the population distribution over the atomic levels with relatively low principal quantum numbers can be well explained by taking the MAR effects into account.journal articl

Handling Raw High-Dimensional CAN Bus Data using Long Short-Term Memory Networks for Intrusion Detection in In-Vehicle Networks

CAN uses no authentication and encryption mechanisms for secure communication. To solve the security issues of the CAN bus, a deep learning-based intrusion detection systems have been proposed. But due to the high dimensional property of the CAN bus data, it was not possible to create an effective Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in the CAN bus that can take the property of the CAN data into consideration. In this paper, we are proposing a Long Short-Term Memory Networks (LSTM) based IDS that can handle the high dimensional property of the CAN bus data . Unlike the conventional methods which required a single network architecture for each unique arbitration ID, our method gives a single overall anomaly signal over a certain detection window without the need for reverese-engineering the CAN bus data. Using this anomaly signal we have managed to achieve 100% detection precision for insertion, fuzzy and targeted attacks in our data and in a public data that is prepared for this specific purpose.conference pape

Handwritten Character Segmentation from Images with Overlapping Characters

In the handwritten character recognition from image, it is necessary to extract each character from the string. However, if a character comes in contact with another one, it is difficult to determine at where they should be separated. In this report, a segmentation method is proposed. The method is based on thinning the background region. Two methods to choose the best suited segmentation path is analyzed. The former uses the distance between the segmentation paths and the center of the image. The latter is based on a image feature used in character recognition. シロカキ用水量の構成要素に関する調査研究 : 矢作川用水のシロカキ用水量に関する検討

application/pdfIn the YAHAGI drainage basin which is situated in the eastern part of Aichi prefecture, the authors have researched the elements of water requirement for rice field preparation. Main results obtained are as follows, The elements of the water requirement for preparation are evaporation, the depth of flooding water, the saturation of the surface soil, and percolation. In a rough estimate, evaporation is 2-3㎜, the depth of flooding water is 40㎜, the saturation of the surface soil is less than 40㎜, percolation is 0-200㎜. Commonly, the water requirement for preparation is 80-120㎜ in a ill-drained paddy field, 100-150㎜ in a well-drained paddy field and 150-250㎜ in a leaking paddy field. Therefore, these differences are based on the total of the saturation of the surface soil and percolation. The saturation of the surface soil is influenced by the ground-water table. When the groundwater table is lower than 1m from ground surface, saturation has a maximum quantity of 40mm. Percolation is influenced by the groundwater table and the soil texture of the subsoil (particularly, the coefficient of water permeability). When the water requirement for preparation is calculated, it is an effective means to establish patterns for the groundwater table, and tire soil texture of the subsoil.departmental bulletin pape
