Why did Executives of Local Companies Enter Graduate School of Local University?
application/pdfIn 2008, 7 executives of local companies entered the Graduate School of Medicine of Mie University. They were young executives or backbone executives who succeeded to the business and were thinking of doing a new trial in their suc-ceeded business. At the first stage of our challenge, each ex-ecutive brought their own problems in research and develop-ment to University and discussed their own possible technical solution with a professor who supervises them. This individual approach was effective but not enough for their expected hopes as the reward of time and efforts which they spend at Univer-sity. We then tried the other approach to satisfy their purpose of entering a University. Since their wish was to find out the own way in their succeeded business, we started the cross dis-cussion meeting in which all executive students and other graduate students participated. We indicated the activity, which executives bring both of the problems regarding man-agement and R&D of their company and discuss these matters with other executive student and professors in a University, is effective for the foothold which works out a management strategy for the executive. This paper presents a practical method of numerical analysis for boundary shape design of steady-state heat conduction fields to control temperature distribution to a prescribed distribution.Reshaping was accomplished by the traction method that was proposed by one of the authors as a solution to domain optimization problems in which elliptic boundary value problems were defined.In this paper,we formulated a temperature square error norm minimization problem between prescribed distribution and actual distribution on prescribed boundaries and theoretically derived shape gradient function for this problem.We developed a convenient numerical method using a ganaral-purpose FEM program for the temperature prescribed problem.The successful results for two-dimensional problems of a erosion surface on blast furnace hearth and a coolant flow passage in turbin blade show the validity of the presented method.journal articl
Non-vacuum Process of CuInS_2 Thin Films From Metal Xanthate Precursors
Cu–III–VI_2 compounds have attracted considerable interest because of their possible photovoltaic applications. The ternary semiconductor copper indium sulfide (CuInS_2) is one of the promising materials for thin film solar cells because its bandgap energy of 1.5 eV and the absorption coefficient of 10^5 cm^. CuInS_2 thin film on glass substrate is grown by dipping-coat from Cu- and In-xanthate solution as precursor materials. X-ray diffraction pattern indicated that peaks of CuInS_2 (112) are observed at 150℃. This temperature is lowest in non-vacuum process of CuInS_2 film. The all CuInS_2 films are p-type conductivity by thermo prove analysis because Cu atom in In site defects are dominant in the samples from EPMA results.departmental bulletin pape
