Compact THz-radiation source consisting of a bulk semiconductor, a mode-locked fiber laser, and a 2 T permanent magnet
A compact THz-radiation source using an InAs semiconductor is demonstrated with a turn-key femtosecond fiber laser as an excitation source and a newly designed 2 T permanent magnet. By using a newly designed magnetic circuit, a compact permanent magnet which can exceed the remanence magnetic field was obtained. 25例の脳腫瘍患者に bromodeoxyuridine (BUdR)を手術時に投与し腫瘍のBUdRの取り込み即ち Labeling Index (LI)を求めた。21例では摘出標本を抗BUdR抗体を用いて免疫組化学的染色を行いLIを求めた。5例ではflow cytometerを用い,BUdR量及びDNA量を分析しLIを求めた。その結果,glioblastoma multiforme 10.4-12.9%,astrocytoma 2.6-3.5%,meningioma 0.7-7.2%,neurinoma 0.1-0.2%,hemangioma 0.1%,hypothalamic hamartoma 0.1%,malignant lymphoma 2.8%であった。meningioma 13例中2例は高値で短期間に再発し,CT film より求めたdoubling timeは各々54日,40-95日と短かった。LIから計算したdoubling timeは各各3日,65日であった。組織学的悪性度とLIとはおおむね相関していたが,組織学的に良性のmeningiomaの中に増殖が速くLIも高いものがあることが示された。LIは腫瘍の再発及び予後を予測する上で重要な指標になると考えられた。journal articl

Comparison and examination on a dielectric constant estimation by using Born approximations
The accuracy of the reconstruction algorithm of estimating the relative permittivity of a dielectric cylinder using the extended technique of the Born approximation is examined in this report. The integral equation is solved by method of moment. Born approximation and its related various approximate methods such as the Iterative Born approximation, the Extended Born approximation, and Distorted Born approximation are applied in order to determine relative permittivity of a cylinder. Numerical simulations are performed for a dielectric cylinder to show the reconstruction accuracy. From the numerical results, the Distorted Born approximation is efficient for the case of this report.departmental bulletin pape

The accuracy of a reconstruction algorithm of estimating the relative permittivity of a dielectric cylinder using the iterative Born algorithm is examined in this article. The integral equation is solved by moment method of dividing the cylinder into cells. Born approximations are applied in order to determine relative permittivity of a object. In this research, the iterative Born approximation is used to estimate the relative permittivity of the object.
