研究論文本研究は、留学生別科で学ぶ中級日本語学習者68名を対象に、漢字使用に関する自由記述式アンケートを実施し、KH Coderを用いて分析したものである。具体的には「漢字がわからなくて困った場面」と「漢字を勉強していてよかった場面」について記述された内容を分析した。その結果、困難点として「ラベル」「メニュー」「薬」など生活に直結する漢字への言及が多く見られた。一方「よかった」体験については、①基本的な達成感、②実用的価値の発見、③文化理解への広がり、という3段階の深化が確認された。本研究では、生活密着型の漢字学習支援の強化や、感情体験を重視した学習タスクの開発など、より効果的な中級漢字教育の実現に向けた示唆を得ることができた。departmental bulletin pape

Construction of molecular wires based on a gold(I) bis-σ-acetylide building block incorporated into ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes

An Ru(II)-Au(I)-Ru(II) triad has been synthesized from [Ru(bpy)2(3-ethynylphenanthroline)]2+ with Au(tht)Cl and characterized by spectroscopic means such as NMR and ESI-MS; the Ru(II)-Au(I)-Ru(II) triad shows an intense emission at 620 nm upon excitation at 360 nm, which suggests an efficient energy transfer from the Au site to Ru sites via extended p-conjugation through the ethynyl units.application/pdfjournal articl

Experimental Study on Structural Performance of Precast Reinforced Concrete Core Wall with Small Shear Span Ratio

In the core wall system in high-rise buildings, precast core walls are effective for construction because they can be built more quickly than cast-in-place core walls. In this study, a lateral loading test was conducted on a wall column simulating the corner and the area near the corner of an L-shaped core wall with small shear span ratio. The wall column was divided into precast columns, and horizontal tied rebars were concentrated at the second floor level and the mid height level of the first story. Based on the results of lateral loading tests, the structural performance of the wall column with small shear span ratio was clarified.departmental bulletin pape

介護者の意図に沿って動くロボット車椅子

Evaluation of Blood Supply with Indocyanine Green Fluorescence in Resection for Concurrent Gastric and Pancreatic Cancer: A Case Report

We present a rare case of concurrent resection of pancreatic and gastric cancer in which indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence was used to evaluate the remnant stomach. An 80-year-old man was referred with a tumor in the distal pancreas. Computed tomography showed a 25-mm mass in the pancreatic tail; endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration revealed adenocarcinoma. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and subsequent upper gastrointestinal series revealed advanced gastric cancer in the mid-stomach. Concurrent resection of the pancreatic and gastric tumors was performed. After distal pancreatectomy and distal gastrectomy, ICG evaluation of the stomach showed fluorescence extending only 3 cm distal from the cardia. To avoid ischemic change at the remnant stomach, total gastrectomy was performed. Since remnant gastric necrosis and anastomotic leak following ischemia can lead to fatal outcomes, the use of ICG to evaluate blood supply at anastomotic sites can help determine the extent of safe resection in such cases.journal articl

Multi-Route Coding in Wireless Multi-Hop Networks

Wireless multi-hop networks have drawn much attention for the future generation mobile communication systems. These networks can establish multiple routes from a source node to a destination node because of flexible construction of network topology. Transmissions by multiple routes have enough capability to achieve reliable communication because we can expect to obtain diversity gain by multiple routes. In this paper, we propose the multi-route coding scheme. At first, we discuss a channel model in multi-hop networks employing regenerative relay, which we named the virtual channel model. By using the virtual channel model, a packet is encoded on multiple routes as follows ; a bit sequence of a packet is encoded and divided into subpackets, and each subpacket is transmitted on each route. We evaluate its packet error rate performance, and clarify effectiveness of the proposed scheme. In general, we should face degradation of a route condition such as the case when a subpacket does not reach a destination node. Hence, we have to consider the influence of subpacket loss. We also investigate it, and show tolerance of the proposed scheme over that.journal articl

Changes in conditional net survival and dynamic prognostic factors in patients with newly diagnosed metastatic prostate cancer initially treated with androgen deprivation therapy

Abstract Background The purpose of this study was to identify predictive factors associated with conditional net survival in patients with metastatic hormone‐naive prostate cancer (mHNPC) initially treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Methods At nine hospitals in Tohoku, Japan, the medical records of 605 consecutive patients with mHNPC who initially received ADT were retrospectively reviewed. The Pohar Perme estimator was used to calculate conditional net cancer‐specific survival (CSS) and overall survival (OS) for up to 5 years subsequent to the diagnosis. Using multiple imputation, proportional hazard ratios for conditional CSS and OS were calculated with adjusted Cox regression models. Results During a median follow up of 2.95 years, 208 patients died, of which 169 died due to progressive prostate cancer. At baseline, the 5‐year CSS and OS rates were 65.5% and 58.2%, respectively. Conditional 5‐year net CSS and OS survival gradually increased for all the patients. In patients given a 5‐year survivorship, the conditional 5‐year net CSS and OS rates improved to 0.906 and 0.811, respectively. Only the extent of disease score (EOD) ≥2 remained a prognostic factor for CSS and OS up to 5 years; as survival time increased, other variables were no longer independent prognostic factors. Conclusions The conditional 5‐year net CSS and OS in patients with mHNPC gradually increased; thus, the risk of mortality decreased with increasing survival. The patient's risk profile changed over time. EOD remained an independent prognostic factor for CSS and OS after 5‐year follow‐up. Conditional net survival can play a role in clinical decision‐making, providing intriguing information for cancer survivors
