Interface properties of thermally oxidized n-GaN metal-oxide-semiconductor capacitors

We report on the interface properties of thermally oxidized n-GaN metal-oxide-semiconductor capacitors fabricated on sapphire substrates. 100-nm-thick β-Ga2O3 was grown by dry oxidation at 880°C for 5 h. From secondary ion mass spectrometry measurements, an intermediate Ga oxynitride layer with graded compositions is clearly observed at the β-Ga2O3/GaN interface. Capacitance-voltage measurements show a deep depletion feature and a low interface state density of ? 5.5×1010eV-1cm-2. Additionally, no discrete interface traps can be detected by deep-level transient spectroscopic measurements. These results indicate that the surface Fermi level is unpinned at the β-Ga2O3/GaN interface, which may be associated with the presence of the interfacial Ga oxynitride layer.application/pdfjournal articl

The development and the limit of "maternity insurance" concept during the German Kaiserreich

第二帝政期ドイツでは、ベルギーで考案された「母性保険」構想が紹介されると、大きな議論を生じた。第一に対象者に無業の主婦や未婚の母を含めるか、第二に独立した「母性保険」を創設するのか、疾病保険の枠内で扶助拡充を図るのか、第三に受給権を認めるのか、慈善や扶助の一環として行なうのか、最後に女性の母性保護を優先するのか、子どもの保護を優先するのか、である。Im deutschen Kaiserreich war viele Diskussionen um die Institutionalisierung des Mutterschutzes auf der Reichsebene hervorgehoben, als das belgische Konzept "Mutterschaftsverischerung" vorgestellt wurde. Der eine ging darum, ob Nur-Hausfrauen oder ledige Mütter in die Adressatinnen einbezogen werden dürften. Der zweite war die Debatte, ob die "Mutterschaftsversicherung" als selbständige Sozialversicherung oder als Ausbau vom Wöchnerinnenschutz im Rahmen der Krankenverischerung sein sollte. Der dritte handelte sich um ein Recht oder eine wohltätige Pflege. Women's mobilization and the development of social work in modern Germany

本研究は、戦争とジェンダーを問う研究視角から生み出された近年の成果をもとに、戦時の女性動員のあり方を、解放戦争期以降のドイツ語圏について経年的に確認することを課題とする。19世紀初頭の一般兵役令の導入以降、軍隊から排除された女性たちは、「ドイツ・ネイション」のための活動に参加する方法として、戦闘行為によって傷ついた兵士(=男性)の看護および彼らの遺家族を支援する活動を組織した。それらは解放戦争から第一次世界大戦までの戦争や革命などの非常時に組織されたが、19世紀半ば以降は平時にも専門の知識と技能を備えた看護婦を育成する目的で、また兵士遺家族の生活支援を持続的に行なうために、女性協会が恒常化された。総力化された第一次世界大戦後には、これらの女性たちの社会活動は、行政の支援制度としてシステム化されていった。研究ノート(Note)application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

War disabled veterans in the interwar Germany

戦間期のドイツにおける戦争障害者の社会的な位置を描き出すことをめざし,先行研究を整理する作業を行なった。その際には,おもに戦争障害者支援を規定する法令,戦争障害者の意見を代弁する組織の形成過程,戦争障害者の呼称と自己意識という,今後なお研究の余地のある三つの分野を対象とした。Abgezielt ist, Konstellation der Kriegsbeschädigten in der deutschen Gesellschaft zwischen den beiden Weltkriegen aufzuklären. Zu diesem Zweck lassen sich hier Ergebnisse der bisherigen Forschungen über die Fürsorge der Opfer des Krieges nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg zusammenstellen. The Student Guidance Office 2018 Annual Report

This article reported statistics and some activities in the student guidance office as 2018 annual report. The number of counseling decreased from last year, but it showed higher rate than the average rate of it reported from Japanese Association of Student Counseling. This was assumed to result in the efforts such as the following 1) universal screening assessment using UPI and interview simultaneously, 2) specific support and assistance in response to each student's need as well as counseling and 3) close collaboration with other faculties and staffs. Pain Evaluation During Colonoscopy by the Erythema Index of the Facial Image

[Background] Endoscopy of the digestive tract is useful but is associated with significant pain to the patient. Its safety and tolerability could be improved by an immediate and objective method to evaluate the pain level and give feedback to the examiner. However, under the current circumstances, it is difficult to measure and assess the pain level objectively.[Methods] We previously developed a discomfort assessment device that measures the changes in brain activity caused by changes in the pain level by extracting the changes in the erythema index from facial color data. In this study, to evaluate the usefulness of this discomfort assessment device, the association between the changes in the erythema index of facial images during colonoscopy and the subjective pain level during the examination were evaluated. For the recording of the subjective pain level during the examination, a subjective pain level recording device that we developed to measure grip strength over time was used. The subjective pain level, facial image, and percutaneous venous oxygen saturation during the examination were recorded in 30 patients who underwent colonoscopy at our hospital. [Results] The duration of colonoscopy was divided into the insertion section and the removal section. The subjective pain level was found to be significantly greater during the insertion section than during the removal section, and the changes in the erythema index of the facial images were significantly different between the two groups. [Conclusion] These findings indicate that the erythema index changes on facial images determined by the discomfort assessment device may facilitate objective evaluation of the pain level during colonoscopy.journal articl
