Architect Tadao Igarashi and theory of Architecture “SHINKABE" (3) - A Study on the primary thought “Composition of Plane in Architecture" -

This paper clarifies the early stages of the trend of the architectural theory “SHINKABE" by a famous professor-architect Tadao Igarashi(1915~1987)in Hokuriku area. For this reason, we tried to make clear Igarashi's paperes “On the Composition of Plane or Surface in Architecture"(1954)and “On the Tension as affected by Planes in an Architecture"(1955). Firstly, Igarashi pays attention to the “plane" that is a composition-element in order to realize a unified space. Then, he found out that it was an important condition to grasp the number of planes. Finally, Igarashi has arrived the meaning of “tension" as a plane character that can be acquired by these orderly interpretations.departmental bulletin pape

Recurrent Erythema Nodosum in a Child with a SHOC2 Gene Mutation

We report the case of a 6-year-old male who developed recurrent erythema nodosum (EN) at the age of 3 years. The patient exhibited hypertelorism, low-set ears, micrognathia, moderate intellectual disability, thin long fingers, loose anagen hair, and prominent palmoplantar wrinkles. A heterozygous single nucleotide variant in the SHOC2 gene (c.4 A > G, p.S2G) was identified. Patients with a SHOC2 mutation exhibit a unique combination of ectodermal abnormalities including darkly pigmented skin and loose anagen hair. This report is the first to describe EN in a patient with SHOC2 mutation, and to examine the patient’s hair using scanning electron microscopy. We hypothesize that the RAS/MAPK pathway is associated with the pathogenesis of cutaneous lesions in patients with SHOC2 mutations via autoinflammation and disturbance of epithelial stem cells.journal articl

YUBAメソッドによる音痴矯正に関する検証 : 中国の歌唱発声教育などへの導入に向けて

application/pdf[目的]中国人が中国語で歌を歌う場合においても、「YUBAメソッド」を用いた音痴矯正のための個別発声指導が有効であるかを検証すること。[実施対象者と方法]男性中国人留学生の学部生4名と大学院生1名、計5名である。方法は、まず、対象者に対し、『赤とんぼ』と筆者による自作曲のメロディーの聴き比べ能力に関する調査を行った。各設間において2つのメロディーを被験者に聴き比べてもらい、それらが同じか異なるかを答えてもらった。この間き取り調査により、音痴歌唱の原因が、生まれつきの耳の問題ではないという可能性が高いことが分かつた。次に、約1ヶ月(週1回40分、計4回)にわたって「YUBAメソッド」のトレーニング用DVDをCD化した教材を用いて筆者が個別発声指導を行い、また、自宅ではYUBAメソッドの本付属したトレーニングCDで自主練習をしてもらった。[結果]YUBAメソッドによる個別発声指導及び自宅練習の結果、対象者5名全員において、高音方向に平均9,7半音音域が拡張し、低音方向に平均0.8半音音域が拡張した。全体として10.5半音音域が拡張した。全員に音域の拡張がみられた。メロディーの音程のズレが約80セント以内に矯正された。さらに、指導前と1回目の指導後、そして指導前と最終指導後の音高のズレの平均値に差があるかをWilcoxon検定で調べたところ、有意差(p=0,03125。有意水準5%)が認められた。[結論]中国人が中国語の歌を歌う場合において、YUBAメソッドは有効である。[Purpose]To verify whether The YUBA Method is effective in improving off-key singing so-called tone-deafness in individual voicing guidance for Chinese singing a song in Chinese language, Putonghua (Mandarin). [Subjects and Methods] Subjects were 5 male Chinese students in Japan; 4 undergraduate students and 1 graduate student. A comparative hearing examination of melodies using ""Akatombo"" and a song composed by the author was given to the subjects. In each question, each subjects was asked to hear two melodies and answer whether they were identical to each other or not. These comparative hearing examination of melodies indicated a high possibility that off-key singing is not caused by innate ear problems. Next, the author gave individual voicing guidance using a CD made from a training DVD program of The YUBA Method originated by Toru Yuba, for about one month (1 time 40 minutes/week, a total of 4 times). The subjects were asked to do autonomous training at home with a training CD of the Method attached to a book written by Toru Yuba. [Results] As a result of individual voicing guidance and practicing at home according to The YUBA Method, all 5 subjects expanded their vocal ranges, in average,9.7 semitones towards higher tones, and in average, 0.8 semitone towards lower tones. Their vocal ranges were expanded by 10.5 semitones in total. The deviations in pitch of the melodies were corrected to within about B0 cents in average. Moreover, Wilcoxon test was used to check whether there were differences in deviations in pitch between before and the first guidance, and between before and after the total guidance. Significant differences were observed (p = 0.031-25, significance level 5 o/o).
