Electrical Insulation Characteristics of HTS Cables Under Quench-Induced Thermal Stress Condition

This paper discusses the electrical insulation characteristics of high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable under quench condition exposed to thermal and electrical combined stress. We applied a high voltage of 60 Hz ac to the sample electrode, and injected a large current of 60 Hz ac into Bi2233/Ag tapes to induce quench. Experimental results revealed that partial discharge (PD) were induced by the transient thermal stress due to quench under the high voltage condition. A criterion of the combined stress for PD inception was experimentally obtained.journal articl

Myeloid progenitors with PTPN11 and nonRAS pathway gene mutations are refractory to treatment with 6-mercaptopurine in juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia

advance online publication, February 25, 2014Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) is a fatal, mixed myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic disorder occurring in infancy and early childhood. Children with JMML have mutually exclusive genetic abnormalities in granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) signaling pathways, inactivation of the NF1 or mutations in PTPN11, NRAS, KRAS and CBL. A whole-exome sequencing study, performed by Sakaguchi et al.,3 has recently demonstrated that in addition to the high frequency of RAS pathway mutations, mutations in SETBP1 and JAK3 are common recurrent secondary events, and that these events may be involved in tumor progression, and are associated with poor clinical outcomes.ArticleLEUKEMIA. 28(7):1545-1548 (2014)journal articl

小・中学校における特別支援教育の現状と課題―通常学級担任へのアンケート調査の結果より―

text紀要論文 / Departmental Bulletin Paper本研究では、A町小・中学校の通常学級担任全てを対象にアンケート調査を行い、得られたデータを過去の調査結果と比較することで、特別支援教育における地域差及びA町の現状や課題を明らかにした。結果から、教員に求められる資質・専門性（文部科学省，2021）には、まだ伸びしろがあること、さらに、特別な支援が必要な児童生徒の対応で、自信のなさや不安を抱きがちな現状、児童生徒ばかりでなく保護者への対応にも困難を感じている状況がうかがえた。また、研修によって理解が深まる傾向が見られたことから、校内の年間計画に、特別支援教育に関する研修が定期的に位置づけられることが特別支援教育推進につながると考えられる。アンケートの回答を得られなかった教員を含め、より多くの教員の特別支援教育への関心を、負担感を増大させることなく高めていくことが課題として見いだされた。departmental bulletin pape

In-orbit performance of the hard X-ray Detector on board Suzaku

Its basic performances, including a wide energy bandpass of 10-600keV, energy resolutions of similar to 4 keV (FWHM) at 40 keV and similar to 11% at 511 keV, and a high background rejection efficiency, have been confirmed by extensive in-orbit calibrations. The long-term gains of PIN-Si diodes have been stable within 1% for half a year, and those of scintillators have decreased by 5-20%. The residual non-X-ray background of the HXD is the lowest among past non-imaging hard X-ray instruments in energy ranges of 15-70 and 150-500 keV. We provide accurate calibrations of energy responses, angular responses, timing accuracy of the HXD, and relative normalizations to the X-ray CCD cameras using multiple observations of the Crab Nebula.textapplication/pdfjournal articl
