Studies on linear systems and the eigenvalue problem over the max-plus algebra
Max-plus代数は,実数全体に無限小元を付加した集合に,加法として最大値をとる演算,乗法として通常の加法を考えた代数系である.本論文では,max-plus線形方程式に対するCramerの公式の類似物を用いて,線形方程式の解空間の基底が構成できることを示した.さらに固有値問題に関連して,max-plus行列の固有ベクトルの概念を2通りの観点から拡張した.The max-plus algebra is the semiring with addition "max" and multiplication "+". In the present thesis, the author gives a combinatorial characterization of solutions of linear systems in terms of the max-plus Cramer's rule. Criteria for recoverability of rectangular polyhedra in terms of linear programming
直交多面体とはすべての角が互いに直交する3つ面からなる多面体のことである.本論文では,与えられた特別な性質をもつラベル付き線画の直交多面体としての復元可能性問題を論じる.ここでラベルは各頂点につけられており,それらの頂点の周りの3次元的な構造を表している.多面体に対する直交制約条件は2次であり線形ではないので扱いにくいため,直交条件を平行条件に緩和することにより制約条件を線形化する.そのことにより,考える問題は平行多面体としての復元可能性の問題へとなり,平行多面体としての復元可能性問題は線形計画法の実行可能解の存在に帰着する.さらに,平行多面体としての復元可能性は,直交多面体としての復元可能性と同値であることを,線画における辺の角度に関する条件の下で,平行多面体を直交多面体へうつすラベルを保つアフィン変換を構成することによって示す.A rectangular polyhedron is a polyhedron whose corners consist of three mutually perpendicular faces. In the present paper, we consider the recoverability problem of a rectangular polyhedron from a given labeled line drawing that has certain special properties. Here the labels attached to junctions signify the 3D structures around them. Since the orthogonality constraints are quadratic, that is, not linear and it is hard to deal with, we relax the orthogonality constraints into the parallel constraints so that they become linear. Then our problem is changed to the recoverability of parallel polyhedra. The recoverability of parallel polyhedra is reduced to the existence of a feasible solution of the linear programming problem. Further, we prove that the recoverability of parallel polyhedra is equivalent to that of rectangular polyhedra by constructing a label preserving affine transformation from a parallel polyhedron to a rectangular polyhedron under the suitable conditions for angles between lines in the drawings.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
Phagocytosis is mediated by two-dimensional assemblies of the F-BAR protein GAS7
Phagocytosis is a cellular process for internalization of micron-sized large particles including pathogens. The Bin-Amphiphysin-Rvs167 (BAR) domain proteins, including the FCH-BAR (F-BAR) domain proteins, impose specific morphologies on lipid membranes. Most BAR domain proteins are thought to form membrane invaginations or protrusions by assembling into helical submicron-diameter filaments, such as on clathrin-coated pits, caveolae, and filopodia. However, the mechanism by which BAR domain proteins assemble into micron-scale phagocytic cups was unclear. Here, we show that the two-dimensional sheet-like assembly of Growth Arrest-Specific 7 (GAS7) plays a critical role in phagocytic cup formation in macrophages. GAS7 has the F-BAR domain that possesses unique hydrophilic loops for two-dimensional sheet formation on flat membranes. Super-resolution microscopy reveals the similar assemblies of GAS7 on phagocytic cups and liposomes. The mutations of the loops abolishes both the membrane localization of GAS7 and phagocytosis. Thus, the sheet-like assembly of GAS7 plays a significant role in phagocytosis.journal articl
