VALUE CHAINS AND STANDARDS IN SHRIMP EXPORT
2008-11This study analyzes the food safety compliance performances of different stakeholders in value chains of Bangladesh and Thailand from mother shrimp collection to consumers’ plate. Data and information collected through field surveys, interviews, and interactions with different stakeholders in Bangladesh, Thailand and Japan were analyzed and used as the basis of the paper. The results reveal that the competent authority monitors the hygiene and sanitation condition of the buyer-driven value chain activities, whereas processors-cum-exporters implement HACCP procedures about 85% to 90% in all stages of production, distribution, processing and export of shrimp to assure the quality standards. ‘Shrimp suppliers certificate’ and ‘farmers and region code’ in Bangladesh while ‘movement document’ and ‘fry movement document’ in Thailand are used as traceability tools. Both the countries have already started working for certification, eco-labeling and sustainable seafood trade. Change of athletic record and power generation capacity throughout the two years in long distance runners
J-GLOBAL ID : 201401079533207271J-GLOBAL ID : 201701005445265627J-GLOBAL ID : 200901009625371738The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Athletic record, maximal anaerobic power and middle power generation capacity throughout the two seasons in collegiate long-distance runners.
The subjects were 18 male collegiate long-distance runners. In this study, the athletic record was measured throughout the season1 and season 2. The maximal anaerobic power, middle power and middle power to peak power ratio in each season were measured by cycling ergometer (Power max VII), respectively. Subjects were classified by Athletic record based by 10,000m athletic record faster (AG) and slower (BG) than 30:30. in season 1. As a results, the Athletic record of 5,000m was improved in AG. On the other hand, the Athletic records of 5,000m and 10,000m in BG. In addition, middle power to peak power ratio in season2 was showed significantly higher than that of season1 in BG. The change ratio of middle power to peak power ratio was obtained BG than AG.
From these results, it might be considered that improve the anaerobic power production capacity reflect to improve the Athletic record as in previous studies. Especially, these results suggest that improving Athletic records by improving anaerobic power generation capacity is effective for long-distance runners who have not yet reached a high level.1520578603919310720application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

Biomechanical study on the sticking region during the back squat exercise
This study aimed to determine the cause of the sticking region (SR) that occurs in the back squat (BS) from biomechanical analysis. Six male college weightlifters (age:20.5±2.2 years, height:173.4±7.6 cm, weight:79.3±16.9 kg, 1RM:149±27.4 kg) performed one rep. with different loads (0, 30, 50, 70, 90, 100% 1RM) and BS without counter movement (0, 30, 50, 70, 90%1RM) for one rep. followed by BS exhaustion trial at 70%1RM. We calculated barbell velocity, joint angles, angular velocity, moments, and power in the lifting phase. Identification of SR became more pronounced with increased loading. In SR phase during BS, ankle plantar flexion angular velocity and power and knee joint extension angular decreased. On the other hand, knee joint extension power decreased in the middle phase. These results suggest that the appearance of SR might be related to moment and power attenuations in knee joint during BS exercise

application/pdfpostprintThe flora of the Tokiwadai Campus of Yokohama National University was surveyed and recorded. The distribution of plants in 16 blocks on Campus was investigated during 1999 to 2000. A total of 508 species, including escaped species and naturalized species, was recorded. Twelve species, including Miscanthus sinensis, occur widely. Two Red Data Book species grow in the forests, and two other Red Data Book species occur in the grassland. Some species note worthy for their distribution were compared with Professor Okuda's data from 1994. Blocks A and E are forest areas on campus, and many native evergreen species grow densely there.
