In CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) characteristics, the shapes of grooves formed on pad surface affect greatly on removal rate, non-uniformity within wafer surface and slurry flow rate. They allow the slurry flow toward the center or outside of the pad when the pad is rotating. In this study, how 7 different slanted grooves on the pad surface affect the removal rate and slurry flow rate were examined. As a result, different and unique characteristics were observed. These slanted groove pads may make it possible to improve polishing performances such as removal rate and reducing the amount of slurry to be used.textapplication/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

Solar neutrino measurements in Super-Kamiokande-II

The results of the second phase of the Super-Kamiokande solar neutrino measurement are presented and compared to the first phase. The solar neutrino flux spectrum and time variation as well as oscillation results are statistically consistent with the first phase and do not show spectral distortion. The timedependent flux measurement of the combined first and second phases coincides with the full period of solar cycle 23 and shows no correlation with solar activity. The measured 8B total flux is (2:38± 0.05(stat.)/begin+0.16 // -0.15/end (sys.)) × 10^6 cm^{-2} s^{-1} and the day-night difference is found to be (-6.3 ±4.2(stat.)±3.7(sys.))%.There is no evidence of systematic tendencies between the first and second phases.journal articl

東アジア共同体憲章案について : 人の移動とコンストラクティビズムの観点から(<特集>地域主義研究の課題 : 「東アジア共同体憲章案」の批評を通じて)

東アジアにおける「人の移動問題」の重要性が認識されつつある中で, 東アジア共同体がそれを政策課題として取り上げるべきことを述べる. その上で, 地域主義と国際政治関係におけるコンストラクティビズム(Constructivism)的理解の例として, 1951年の難民条約やアフリカと中南米での地域的難民条約・宣言を核とする国際的難民レジームの形成や, 1990年代に入ってからの国内避難民の国際的保護体制の形成に果たした国連事務局の役割を参考にして, 加盟国の代理人としての東アジア共同体, またその事務局の規範形成的役割に触れる. 最後に組織規定について, 国際機関事務局が政治的・規範形成的な性格・役割を持つことに鑑み, 行動し結果を出す組織になるための事務局のあり方についてコメントする.The issue of "People in the move", particularly those who are forced to move, is becoming one of the global issues facing the world, particularly in Asia. This paper argues that the proposed East Asian Community should address the issue squarely in view of its far-reaching implications. The article illustrates how, during the last 60 years, the United Nations and regional organizations have successfully set the forced displacement issues on the international agenda, based on the "constructivist approach" in international relations theories. The article highlights crucial roles played by a visionary Secretary-General and a competent secretariat acting as an agent in bringing about changes in values, attitudes and identity or structural changes. application/pdfTOKUTOMI Soho (1863-1957) seems to have embodied his view of Japanese nationalism with several changes from democratism to nationalism, and eventually to ultranationalism. Are these changes due to his opportunism or inevitable ones? Japanese people tend to respect their status in the groups or communities where they live, and make it as their criteria of evaluation. Ruth Benedict (1887-1948) saw through such a tendency with her shrewd observation and wrote The Chrysanthemum and the Sword, while how did Tokutomi see the world of his time? How did he estimate Japan as a nation in the world? I would like to try to clarify his perspectives on Japan and China in relation to his time in order to consider the real designs he described.journal articl

情報幾何に基づく量子ボルツマンマシンにおけるクラスター近似法に関する研究

電気通信大学修士2021ボルツマンマシンは1985年にHintonらにとって提案された確率的ニューラルネットワークの一種である.さらにHintonによって提案された制限ボルツマンマシンは現在のディープラーニングへと発展した．ボルツマンマシンのネットワークの状態は，ある動作規則に従い確率的に変化していく．この状態変化を十分に繰り返す事で，ネットワークの状態が従う分布は平衡分布へ収束することが知られている．ボルツマンマシンの学習の一つの目的としてはデータから得られる経験分布を最も良く近似するような平衡分布を求めることである．ボルツマンマシンの学習では，その過程で平衡分布に関する期待値を計算する必要があるが，これは計算量的な困難性を抱えている． 期待値計算の手法としてはMCMC法やCD法が知られている．計算量の問題に対する他のアプローチとしては期待値計算可能なモデルで近似する平均場近似が有効であり，これは情報幾何的には-射影である事が知られている．さらに平均場近似を拡張したクラスター近似が提案されている．クラスター近似は，ビリーフプロパゲーション法などを用いて期待値の厳密計算が可能なクラスターに分割して近似する手法である． 本研究で扱う量子ボルツマンマシンはボルツマンマシンを量子系へ拡張したもので，量子コンピュータを用いた機械学習モデルの一つである．量子ボルツマンマシンにおいて横磁場のような非可換な項を導入しない場合，ボルツマンマシンと同様のモデルとなるため，量子ボルツマンマシンのモデルは古典ボルツマンマシンを包含していると言える．量子ボルツマンマシンの学習では素子に対する測定値に基づいて期待値計算を行い，古典コンピュータによるコントロールで量子系のパラメータ調整を行うが，ここで古典と同様に計算量の問題を抱えている． そこで本研究では，古典ボルツマンマシンの計算困難性に対する手法の一つであるクラスター近似を量子ボルツマンマシンに適用した．量子ボルツマンマシンにおけるクラスター近似について考えるときには，量子ボルツマンマシンのモデルが量子指数型分布族である事から，量子情報幾何を用いるのが良い． 量子ボルツマンマシンにおいてクラスター近似を適用する事で，例えばNISQのような小中規模の量子コンピュータ上で学習したモデルをクラスターとみなし繋ぎ合わせる事で大規模なモデルを近似するといった事が期待される．thesi

Cerinolactone, a Hydroxy-Lactone Derivative from <i>Trichoderma cerinum</i>

A novel metabolite, 3-hydroxy-5-(6-isopropyl-3-methylene-3,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-2-yl)­dihydrofuran-2-one, trivially named cerinolactone (<b>1</b>), has been isolated from culture filtrates of <i>Trichoderma cerinum</i> together with three known butenolides containing the 3,4-dialkylfuran-2­(5<i>H</i>)-one nucleus, harzianolide (<b>2</b>), T39butenolide (<b>3</b>), and dehydroharzianolide (<b>4</b>). The structure of <b>1</b> was determined by spectroscopic methods, including UV, MS, and 1D and 2D NMR analyses. In vitro tests with the purified compound exhibited activity against <i>Pythium ultimum</i>, <i>Rhizoctonia solani</i>, and <i>Botrytis cinerea.</i
