The Hypernuclei Λ4He and Λ4H: Challenges for Modern Hyperon-Nucleon Forces

The hypernuclei Λ4He and Λ4H provide important information on the hyperon-nucleon interaction. We present accurate Faddeev-Yakubovsky calculations for the Λ separation energies of the 0+ ground and the 1+ excited states based on the Nijmegen SC YN interactions. We explicitly take the Σ admixture into account. Mass differences of the baryons and the charge dependence of the interaction are considered. The results show that the Nijmegen models cannot predict all separation energies simultaneously hinting to failures of the current interaction models. It is pointed out that the differences of the Λ separation energies of Λ4He and Λ4H are interesting observables to probe the YN interaction models.journal articl

The Location Trend Of Day Service Facilities And The Level Of Sufficiency By Use Sphere In Yamaguchi Prefecture

This paper aims at explaining the location trend of day service facilities and the change in time series of the sufficiency level by use sphere after the health coverage system was introduced. The results are as follows. 1) Though the number of facilities construction before the introduction of care insurance system was about 3-10 facilities/year, the number increased rapidly with about 40 facilities/year after 2000. And the small-scale facilities in the capacity of less than 10 people are on the increase drastically in place of the facilities in the capacity of 11-30 people around the large-scale area after the care insurance law revision in 2006 which the promotion of supply of small scale multiple functions type was decided. 2) The aging rate and sufficient rate are similar to about 25% in the large-scale area, but the difference is seen in the middle scale area in 20-30% of aging rates and 15-40% of sufficient rates. 3) Though the aging rate exceeds 40% in the small-scale area in the cities of half, the sufficient rate is large before and after 20%, so the rate is low relatively. But, it was shown that an area (ABU-cho) existed with 37% of sufficient rate by forming the network of one large facility and three small facilities.conference pape

Japan's public diplomacy : how has its concept changed

本稿はネオ・リアリズム、コンストラクティヴィズムとネオクラシカル・リアリズムという三つの理論的分析視点から日本のパブリック・ディプロマシー(広報文化外交)の概念変容を概観し、その変化の理由を検証した。本稿の検証からわかるように、外交環境の変化だけでなく、国内政治、経済の変化及びそれらの変化に対する認識を分析射程に入れるネオクラシカル・リアリズムの視点を用いることにより、広報文化外交の概念変容をより重層的に説明することができるのである。This article analyzed the Public Diplomacy (PD) of Japan, by focus on the discourses of Japanese political elites and foreign policy experts through the perspectives of realism, constructivism, and neo-classical realism. PD has been recognized as an important asset to enhance soft power and influence for Japan in the Cold war, and Post-Cold war era. The concept of Japan's PD, been changed not only for enhancing the relationships with the US and neighboring Asian countries, but also for coping with the new competition with "rivals" such as China. This suggests that the development of Japan's PD cannot be described only in the context of balance of power or simply by learning effect. This article argues that the view of neo-classical realism is effective to comprehend Japan's PD.
