原告番号1番になって裁判を闘った : ハンセン病療養所「星塚敬愛園」聞き取り

ハンセン病療養所のなかで70年を過ごしてきた，ある男性のライフストーリー。 　田中民市（たなか・たみいち）さんは1918（大正7）年，宮崎県生まれ。1941（昭和16）年，星塚敬愛園入所。園名「荒田重夫」を名乗る。1968（昭和43）年，1988（昭和63）年～1989（平成元）年には，星塚敬愛園入所者自治会長を務める。1998（平成10）年，第1 次原告団の団長として，熊本地裁に「らい予防法」違憲国賠訴訟を提訴。2001（平成13）年，勝訴判決を勝ち取り，60年ぶりに本名の田中民市にもどる。2010（平成22）年6月の聞き取り時点で，92歳。聞き手は，福岡安則，黒坂愛衣，金沙織（キム・サジク）。なお，2010（平成22）年7月の補充聞き取りの部分は，注に記載した。 　徴兵検査不合格の失意のなか，1941（昭和16）年4月に敬愛園に入所した田中民市さんは，同年7 月に「70人ぐらい一緒に収容列車で」連れてこられた，のちのおつれあいと知り合い，1943（昭和18）年の正月に結婚する。結婚にあたり，彼女には帰省許可がでたが，帰省許可が得られなかった民市さんは無断帰省をして，実家で結婚式を挙げたという。園に戻ってきて，一晩は「監禁室」に入れられたとはいうものの，療養所長の「懲戒検束権」が大手をふるっていた敗戦前の時代に，このように自分の意思を貫いた入所者がいたということは，新鮮な驚きであった。さらには，1,500 円という，当時としては大金をはたいて，園内の6畳2間の一戸建てを購入というか，「死ぬまでの使用権」を獲得したという。栗生楽泉園の「自由地区」に相当するようなことが，たった1つの例外措置であったとはいえ，ここ敬愛園でも実際にあったこともまた，耳新しい情報であった。 　このように他の一般的な入所者と比べると相対的に恵まれた処遇を得ていたようにも見える民市さんが，1998（平成10）年の「らい予防法」違憲国賠訴訟の提訴にあたり，「原告番号1番」として，第1次原告団の団長を務めたのは，何故なのか。結婚して受胎した子どもを「堕胎」により奪われた無念さ，絶望の奈落に落とされた妻を案じて病棟に付き添った体験，みずからも「断種」を受け入れざるをえなかった憤り，これらの「悔しさ」を，民市さんはずっと胸に抱え込んだまま生きてきたことがわかる。ほんとの一握りの第1次原告がたちあがったことが，全国の療養所の入所者を巻き込み，2001（平成13）年5月11日の「熊本地裁勝訴判決」に結実したことを，民市さんは，いま，誇りとしている。 　この語りをまとめるにあたり，星塚敬愛園に原稿確認に伺い，読み聞かせをしたとき，民市さんは「じっと聞いてると小説のごとあるね。アッハハハ。ほんと，ぼくの生きざまぜんぶ，書いてもらった感じで，ありがとうございます」と喜んでくださった。 　民市さんは90代なかばになってもなおご健在で，わたしたちは2012年5月に青森の松丘保養園で開かれた第8回ハンセン病市民学会でも，フロアから元気に発言する民市さんの姿を見かけた。textapplication/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

Search for \bar{B}^0 →Λ_c^+\bar{Λ}_c^- decay at Belle

We search for the doubly charmed baryonic decay \bar{B}^0 →Λ_c^+\bar{Λ}_c^-, in a data sample of 520×106 B\bar{B} events accumulated at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. We find no significant signal and set an upper limit of B(\bar{B}^0 →Λ_c^+\bar{Λ}_c^-)< 6.2×10^{-5} at 90% confidence level. The result is significantly below a naive extrapolation from B(B^-→　Ξ\begin0\c\end\bar{Λ}_c^-) assuming a simple Cabibbo-suppression factor of |V_cd/V_cs|^2. The small branching fraction may be attributed to a suppression due to the large momentum of the baryonic decay products, which has been observed in other charmed baryonic two-body B decays.journal articl

Design, Synthesis, and in Vivo SAR of a Novel Series of Pyrazolines as Potent Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators

A novel series of pyrazolines 2 have been designed, synthesized, and evaluated by in vivo screening as tissue-selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs). Structure−activity relationships (SAR) were investigated at the R to R6 positions as well as the core pyrazoline ring and the anilide linker. Overall, strong electron-withdrawing groups at the R1 and R positions and a small group at the R5 and R6 position are optimal for AR agonist activity. The (S)-isomer of 7c exhibits more potent AR agonist activity than the corresponding (R)-isomer. (S)-7c exhibited an overall partial androgenic effect but full anabolic effect via oral administration in castrated rats. It demonstrated a noticeable antiandrogenic effect on prostate in intact rats with endogenous testosterone. Thus, (S)-7c is a tissue-selective nonsteroidal androgen receptor modulator with agonist activity on muscle and mixed agonist and antagonist activity on prostate
