Consideration on introduction of ICT technology in institutions for the elderly : focus on prevention of abuse in institutions
In this study, considered the introduction of ICT technology to prevent abuse occurring in institutions for the elderly. One of the factors behind the abuse by workers is the lack of knowledge, skills, and a burden and stress. In recent years, introduction of a monitoring system using ICT technology has been tried in the field. The introduction of such technology is anticipated to be useful for reducing the burden on workers and supporting nursing care work.
On the other hand, it is expected some problems such as the burden on staff at the initial stage of introduction, the cost of equipment, and privacy infringement on personal information. Therefore, it became clear that such need to measures. Complementing expected problems and attempting to introduce technology, will be help prevent elder abuse and improve the quality of life of users.論文(Article)application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

地域に密着した環境保全をテーマとした学習指導の開発 : ムジナモ自生地宝蔵寺沼の水生動物相調査を事例として<数学・自然科学>
For this study, we developed and put in practice a program of environmental education closely related to a local community, which is intended to be part of advanced learning in the unit Nature and Humanity in Science at the 3rd grade Junior high school level. This program prompts students actively debate in class based on research data that were obtained from our long investigations of aquatic fauna in Hozoji pond, a natural habitat of Aldrovanda vesiculosa L. Materials handed out to the group of students for debate were as follows: (1) A short description of the almost extinct aquatic carnivorous plant, A. vesiculosa, (2) A graph depicting the change of the number of A. vesiculosa in Hozoji pond from 2011 to 2016, (3) A stacking graph of aquatic fauna in Hozoji pond 2011-2016, (4) The chronology of the number of aquatic animals 2011-2016, (5) A graphic representation of the food web in Hozoji pond, (6) A list of aquatic animals categorized by their origin, (7) A food web in Hozoji pond with predatory preference, (8) A description of what aquatic animals were eaten by human more than 40 years ago.
Given these materials, students had to figure out by themselves environmental problems in Hozoji pond and then propose a plan to save A. vesiculosa. During the program trial, all the students participated in debating, the discussion was very lively and none of the groups ran out of ideas. Questionnaires handed out to 34 students after the program trial showed that most of the students noticed a complex relationship in the food web of the pond and deduced that a plan to save A. vesiculosa would have to maintain the balance of the ecosystem in the pond. Some students commented that they wanted to consider environmental problems near their local community hereafter. The theme and contents as well as amount of the materials in the program we developed were sufficient for junior high school students to learn by debate and think deeply about nature and the role of humans in it.textapplication/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
Time-Dependent CP-Violating Asymmetry in B^0→p^0γ Decays
We report the first measurement of CP-violation parameters in B^0 → p^0γ decays based on a data sample of 657×10^6B\bar{B} pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. We obtain the time-dependent and direct CP-violating parameters, S_p0γ=-0.83±0.65(stat)±0.18(syst) and A_poγ= -0.44±0.49(stat)±0.14(syst), respectively.journal articl

A Windmill-Shaped Molecule with Anthryl Blades to Form Smooth Hole-Transport Layers via a Photoprecursor Approach
Preparation of high-performance organic semiconductor devices requires precise control over the active-layer structure. To this end, we are working on the controlled deposition of small-molecule semiconductors through a photoprecursor approach wherein a soluble precursor compound is processed into a thin-film form and then converted to a target semiconductor by light irradiation. This approach can be applied to layer-by-layer solution deposition, enabling the preparation of p?i?n-type photovoltaic active layers by wet processing. However, molecular design principles are yet to be established toward obtaining desirable thin-film morphology via this unconventional method. Herein, we evaluate a new windmill-shaped molecule with anthryl blades, 1,3,5-tris(5-(anthracen-2-yl)thiophen-2-yl)benzene, which is designed to deposit via the photoprecursor approach for use as the p-sublayer in p?i?n-type organic photovoltaic devices (OPVs). The new compound is superior to the corresponding precedent p-sublayer materials in terms of forming smooth and homogeneous films, thereby leading to improved performance of p?i?n OPVs. Overall, this work demonstrates the effectiveness of the windmill-type architecture in preparing high-quality semiconducting thin films through the photoprecursor approach.journal articl
