UNCOUNTABLY MANY LOOP SPACES OF THE SAME $N$ -TYPE FOR ALL $N$ , II
application/pdfLet $G$ be a Lie group with $¥pi_{1}(G)=Z$ and $C(f)$ the mapping cone of a phantom map $f$ from a classifying space $BG$ to a three-dimensional sphere $S^{3}$ . Then, for $k¥geqq 0$ , loop spaces $¥Omega^{k}¥Sigma^{k}C(f)$ and $¥Omega^{k}¥Omega^{k}C(g)$ are homotopy equiqalent if and only if $f$ and $¥pm g$ are homotopic. We give unstable $CW_{-}$ complexes and fiber bundles of the same $n$ -type for all $n$ and classify them.departmental bulletin pape
Response Spectra Inc1uding Dynamic Soi1-Structure Interaction Effects for Seismic Design
For seismic design of structures with rigid foundations such as bridges, nuclear coutainments, and buildings, the present paper has developed a modified response spectrum method including dynamic soil-structure interaction effects. Dynamic soil-structure interaction effects are decomposed into the two effects; the effective seismic motions and the dynamic(complex) stiffnesses of foundation. This decomposition makes it possible to develop a modified response spectrum instead of the response spectrum for free-field ground motions usually used in conventional seismic design
