Probabilistic Operation of Electric Power Systems Considering Environmental Constraint (Part 12)* -A Decision Method of the Optimum DSS Schedule-
application/pdfA daily scheduling method for an electric power system is described. The constraints considered are the power supply probability and the environmental pollution. The proposed method decides the output power at each time interval and the start-stop pattern of the thermal units to economically satisfy these constraints. To use the multistage choice process, the Markov-like character of the daily schedule is investigated, and it is explained that it is not kept strictly but kept approximately. The daily schedule is optimized by being repeatedly modified. The modification is the change of the operated state of a thermal unit at a time interval. A model system is used to simulate the proposed method. Results are investigated to confirm the usefulness of the proposed method.departmental bulletin pape

Properties of microcapsules containing PC-88A with conneccted spherical pores for Zn(II) extraction
In order to develop an effective extraction process using microcapsules containing extractants, it will be important to increase the surface area of the reaction interface and the diffusibility of the extraction complex in the microcapsules. Microcapsules with large interconnected-spherical pores containing 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester (PC-88A), which is an effective extractant of Zn(II), were prepared by in situ polymerisation from W/O/W emulsions. The large interconnected-spherical pores are open to the outside of the microcapsules and can be freely accessed by water external to the microcapsules. Therefore, the microcapsules with large interconnected-spherical pores are considered to be effective for the microencapsulation of extractants and provide a large surface area because of the many interconnected pores. Divinylbenzene was used as the wall material and polymerised in the organic phase by free radical polymerisation. The microcapsules were successfully prepared. The pore size and the diameter of the microcapsules increased with increasing NaCl concentration in the inner aqueous phase. The diameter of the microcapsules was almost constant at around 230 μm, independent of the concentration of PC-88A in the organic phase. The entrapment efficiency of PC-88A in the microcapsules was higher than 80% in all preparation conditions. The extraction of Zn(II) using microcapsules containing PC-88A was sharply increased at pH higher than 2.0. Zn(II) extracted in the microcapsules was successfully back-extracted at pH lower than 2.0. It was confirmed that two molecules of PC-88A reacted with one Zn(II) ion by quantitative analysis of the relationship between the maximum amounts of Zn(II) extracted and the amount of PC-88A encapsulated in the microcapsules. 2010-01-25中学3年生では、「国際理解と平和」を大テーマとして広島研究旅行に取り組んできた。例年と同じ取り組みであるが、今年度はSSHの評価目標を取り入れて新たに「地球市民」として必要なサイエンス・リテラシーを育成する取り組みを行った。新たな取り組みであるので、不充分な点もあると思われるが1年間の総合人間科を通じてどのように生徒がこの目標に対して変容したか考察を行うことにした。departmental bulletin pape
