Contribution of Volume Recombination to Current-Voltage Characteristics of a Cylindrical Nitrogen Plasma Column
application/pdfA theoretical possibility for a positive static current-voltage characteristics of a plasma column is examined in a weakly ionized nitrogen plasma. The included mechanisms responsible for changing the characteristics from usual negative one to positive are loss of charged particles by volume recombination and enhancement of resistance of a plasma column by Coulomb interaction in addition to that by the dominant charge-neutrals collisions. The calculated C-V curve becomes positive mainly due to volume recombination.departmental bulletin pape
