Mixing of Pentaquark and Molecular States
There are experimental evidences for the existence of narrow states
and with the same quantum numbers of and
pentaquarks and also and molecular states.
Their masses deviate from many theoretical estimates of the pure pentaquark and
molecular states. In this work we study the possibility that the observed
and are mixtures of pure pentaquark and molecular states.
The mixing parameters are in general related to non-perturbative QCD which are
not calculable at present. We determine them by fitting data from known states
and then generalize the mechanism to to predict its mass and width.
The mixing mechanism can also naturally explain the narrow width for
and through destructive interferences, even if the pure pentaquark
and molecular states have much larger decay widths. We also briefly discuss the
properties of the partner eigenstates of and and the
possibility of experimentally observe them. Moreover, probable consequences of
multi-state mixing are also addressed.Comment: 23 pages, 4 figures. Published version in EPJ
Measurement of the LT-asymmetry in \pi^0 electroproduction at the energy of the \Delta (1232) resonance
The reaction p(e,e'p)pi^0 has been studied at Q^2=0.2 (GeV/c)^2 in the region
of W=1232 MeV. From measurements left and right of q, cross section asymmetries
\rho_LT have been obtained in forward kinematics \rho_LT(\theta_\pi^0=20deg) =
(-11.68 +/- 2.36_stat +/- 2.36_sys)$ and backward kinematics
\rho_LT(\theta_\pi^0=160deg) =(12.18 +/- 0.27_stat +/- 0.82_sys). Multipole
ratios \Re(S_1+^* M_1+)/|M_1+|^2 and \Re(S_0+^* M_1+)/|M_1+|^2 were determined
in the framework of the MAID2003 model. The results are in agreement with older
data. The unusally strong negative \Re(S_0+^* M_1+)/|M_1+|^2 required to bring
also the result of Kalleicher et al. in accordance with the rest of the data is
almost excluded.Comment: 7 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables. Changed content. Accepted for

Network Diffusion of Green Technology in Post-Fukushima Japan
We study the diffusion of adoptions of green technologies in Japan after the 2011 Fukushima incident. We find that, on average, municipalities within a 120 km radius of a given nuclear power plant adopted green technology at a higher rate than those outside that radius. We then rely on a network diffusion model to analyze the direction, speed, and order in which municipalities adopted said technology. Next, we perform a counterfactual analysis by targeting key spreaders to alter the diffusion process. Finally, we propose a novel targeting method accounting for possible “bottlenecks” preventing the propagation process in the network.working pape
