Judo has gone through two major changes in order to be accepted by the world community: the introduction of 1) weight divisions and 2) the blue-colored uniform. Likewise, the English language had to be changed often tremendously to fit the needs of the locals when it travelled across cultural boundaries. This is the fate of what is considered to be an instance of culture. The concept of zero, an example of civilization, does not follow the same fate. Operation and Extension of the Network System Installed in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering

Some issues such as a management of the X window system are extracted from the data and our countermeasures against them are discussed. Nonlinear terahertz dynamics of Dirac electrons in Bi thin films

By using both linear and nonlinear terahertz spectroscopy on epitaxial Bi and Bi1-xSbx thin films, we systematically investigated the linear and nonlinear terahertz dynamics of Dirac electrons. The linear terahertz transmittance was analyzed by the Drude model up to 50 THz, and then the plasma frequency and the damping constant were evaluated as functions of the film thickness and Sb-concentration. We found surface metallic state for Bi ultra-thin films, while semimetal to semiconductor crossover for Bi1-xSbx thin films. In the nonlinear terahertz spectroscopy, the terahertz transmittance increases with increasing the field strength, which could be assigned to the carrier acceleration along the Dirac-like band dispersion at the L point in the Brillouin zone. In addition, we observed the terahertz-induced absorption in terahertz-pump and terahertz-probe spectroscopy, which could be assigned to carrier generation due to Zener tunneling in Dirac band structure. The results demonstrate that Bi-related materials are promising candidates for future nonlinear terahertz devices.conference pape

Article本稿の目的は，顧客満足についての概念的な基礎を理解し，顧客満足の中心的な概念モデルをサービス財の顧客満足に応用するときの問題点を明らかにすることである。この目的を達成するために，まずは，顧客満足に関する文献サーベイを行い，この概念の歴史的変遷を振り返りながら定義を考察した。次に，無形財としてのサービスやそのマーケティングが持つ特徴を，有形財やモノのマーケティングと比較しながら考察した。そして，顧客満足の代表的なモデルとされている期待不一致モデルや3つのマクロ・モデル（SCSB，ACSI，JCSI）をとりあげ，これらのモデルがサービスやサービス・マーケティングの特徴をどの程度反映しているのかを考察した。departmental bulletin pape

On the Geometric Genus of Hypersurface Isolated Singularities

Our presentation goes as follows : In Sect. 1, we recall a few preliminaries related to the concept of the geometric genus of normal isolated singularities. In Sect. 2, we prove the p_g-formula for non-degenerate hypersurface isolated singularities, which is a generalization of Corollary 1.14 [8, p.72]. Exact measurement of flat surface profiles by object shifts in a phase-conjugate Fizeau interferometer

We propose a method of exact measurement of flat surface profiles in a phase-conjugate Fizeau interferometer. Aberration of lenses causes an undesirable phase distribution in the interference signal of the phase-conjugate Fizeau interferometer. To eliminate this phase distribution, we shift the object in two directions orthogonal to each other and displacements of the object surface involved in the shifts lead to some small errors in the difference values. We estimate an exact surface profile by solving the difference equations. Characteristics of the method are made clear through computer simulations and measurments of a 40-mm-diameter flat mirror.journal articl
