La nozione di guerra è esaminata prima da un punto di vista storico-linguistico, per comprendere come dalla parola greca pólemos si sia giunti al moderno uso del termine “guerra”. Il successivo percorso ermeneutico indaga sulla presenza di tale concetto fin dalle origini della filosofia occidentale intesa nella sua natura di dialogo. È poi esaminato il fenomeno della guerra da un punto di vista giuridico, e infine presentata la riflessione secolare e la posizione della Chiesa cattolica da sant’Agostino fino a Papa Francesco, problematizzando la nozione di “guerra giusta”

意味志向教育における実存的問いの探究と適応感，自己概念の明確性の関連

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between university students’ thinking about existential questions through meaning-oriented education and subjective adjustment and self-concept clarity. An online course was administered as part of a liberal arts curriculum in a quasi-experimental design with no control group. Of the students who took the course, 70 were selected for analysis (Mᵃᵍᵉ = 19.51 years, SD = 1.19; Women = 53). The results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis did not validate any model that added the frequency of thinking about existential questions in the target course as an independent variable, and the hypotheses were not supported. These findings suggest that the effect of meaning-oriented education claimed by previous studies is overestimated.本研究の目的は，意味志向教育を通じて実存的問いを探究した程度と，大学生の適応感や自己概念の明確性との関連を明らかにすることであった。統制群を設定しない準実験的デザインで，共通教養科目の一環としてオンライン形式の授業が実施された。この科目の受講生のうち，最終的に70名（女性53名，男性16名，回答しない1名；平均年齢19.51歳，SD = 1.19）を分析対象とした。階層的重回帰分析の結果，当該授業での実存的問いの探究度を説明変数に加えたいずれのモデルも採択されず，仮説は支持されなかった。この結果は，先行研究が主張する意味志向教育の効果が過大評価されていることを示唆するものである。departmental bulletin pape

A force plate analysis of sitting postures on a Risshin chair (Zazen-like, upright-support seating furniture) during lectures : An exploratory and preliminary study

Background. "Posture" refers to both physical stance and mental attitude in both the East and West. Psychological research has demonstrated that posture reflects and alters emotions. In Japan, a tradition of regulating the body and mind by aligning posture exists, as exemplified by Zen meditation, and an upright sitting posture has been emphasized in school and home education. We developed the risshin chair, a modified version of the traditional school chair that helps students maintain an upright posture, and examined its educational effectiveness. Purpose. However, postural assessment in posture education involves various body parts, and holistic validation has been challenging. We propose the use of a force plate as a more quantitative and comprehensive method for measuring learners' macro-and microscopic body movements. This study aimed to obtain basic data on how the center of pressure (COP) changes between a risshin chair and a regular school chair in a quasi-educational setting in a laboratory and to preliminarily verify the effectiveness of force plate in postural education research. Method. Eleven students participated in the experiment, of whom 10 were included in the analysis. Each participant sat in a risshin chair or regular school chair and watched the lecture video in a counterbalanced order. Their COP changes were recorded during these trials, and they answered six questions on their reactions to the lecture. Results. Although we found no significant differences between chair conditions in subjective reports and in total COP length and others, the mean COP path length (p=.033, d=0.80) and mean COP area length (p=.021, d=0.88) were shorter, and the COP displacement (in the anterior-posterior direction) was also smaller (p=.006, d=1.14) in the risshin chair than in the regular school chair. Conclusions. The results suggested that the risshin chair suppresses minute, rapid swaying and results in more leisurely body movements. Deposition of Aluminium on the Carbon Fiber with the Manufactured CVD Apparatus

Categorical Perception and Reading Skill: A Survey of Japanese Second Graders

Background: The relationship between reading ability and categorical judgment of speech sounds in children whose native language is Japanese is unclear. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the impact of categorical perception on the development of reading ability in children whose native language is Japanese. Methods: First, forty second-graders (F18, M22; 7y4m−8y4m) attending a public elementary school were tested for reading time and reading errors using the monomoraic syllable reading test, the word and non-word reading tests, and the single sentence reading test. Reading time scores and reading error scores which lay more than 1.5 times the interquartile range (IQR) higher than the third quartile were considered outliers. Next, 30 out of these 40 children were tested using the categorical perception task. A thirteen-step stimulus continuum from /ka/ to /ga/, made by changing voice onset time, was presented to the subjects with the steps in random order, and the subjects made judgments as to whether each stimulus sounded more like /ka/ or /ga/. Results: Reading time as assessed through all 4 tasks and reading errors as assessed through the non-word reading test and the single sentence reading test correlated weakly with the Categorical Perception Index (CPI), which indicated the stability of categorical judgment. In addition, the number of scores which were outliers also showed a weak correlation with CPI. A case of mucoepidermoid carcinoma arising in mature cystic teratoma

卵巣粘表皮癌は卵巣悪性腫瘍の中で極めてまれな組織型に分類される。今回、我々は成熟嚢胞性奇形種より発生した卵巣粘表皮癌の症例を経験したので報告する。症例は、69歳、女性、両側の成熟嚢胞性奇形腫を認めたが、SCC高値とCT、MRI にて左側の腫瘍内に造影される充実性部分を認めたこと、小腸に浸潤を疑う所見を認めたこと、から悪性転化を疑い、手術を施行した。開腹時、両側卵巣腫瘍を認め、左卵巣腫瘍はS状結腸と強固に癒着していた。卵巣腫瘍充実性部分の迅速病理にて低分化癌と診断し、単純子宮全摘出術、両側付属器摘出術、S状結腸合併切除、骨盤リンパ節郭清術、大網切除術を施行した。病理組織学的には、左卵巣腫瘍の嚢胞壁肥厚部に皮膚付属器、脂肪織、軟骨組織、リンパ球集簇、卵巣間質を認め、充実成分に低分化な浸潤性扁平上皮癌を認めた。充実成分には、粘表皮癌に特徴的な、豊富な胞体粘液（PASおよびAlcian blue 染色陽性）を有する異型細胞が胞巣状～不完全な腺管状を呈する領域があり、成熟嚢胞性奇形腫より発生した卵巣粘表皮癌IIb期（pT2bN0M0）と診断した。術後補助化学療法としてDC（ドセタキセル、カルボプラチン）療法を施行し、術後1年8ヶ月現在、再発を認めない。journal articl
