本研究は，1940 年代のアンドレ・ブルトンの美術論における「プリミティフ」という形容詞に焦点をあてながら，ブルトンが1945 年にハイチで出会った画家エクトル・イポリットに関する論考を分析する。その重要性にもかかわらず，この出会いはこれまであまり注目されてこなかった。ブルトンはイポリットの芸術を高く評価し，1948 年に「エクトル・イポリット」を執筆している。 イポリットの作品がブルトンの審美的な思考に対して与えた影響の射程に焦点を当てる。ブルトンにとって「プリミティフ」は西洋の合理主義的，物質偏重主義的な世界の見方を批判する有効な手段であり，イポリットの芸術は，戦後シュルレアリスムの再生に不可欠な，純粋で本質的な美を体現しているとみなされた。ブルトンのテクストを分析し，イポリットの絵画《パパ・ロコ》が1947 年の国際シュルレアリスム展のカタログの冒頭を飾った理由を考察する。イポリットの作品が西洋中心主義的な美術の枠組みを超えて，より多様な表現を受け入れさせるような新しい見方を提示し，戦後のシュルレアリスムの発展に重要な役割を果たしたことを示す。departmental bulletin pape

Categorical Perception and Reading Skill: A Survey of Japanese Second Graders

Background: The relationship between reading ability and categorical judgment of speech sounds in children whose native language is Japanese is unclear. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the impact of categorical perception on the development of reading ability in children whose native language is Japanese. Methods: First, forty second-graders (F18, M22; 7y4m−8y4m) attending a public elementary school were tested for reading time and reading errors using the monomoraic syllable reading test, the word and non-word reading tests, and the single sentence reading test. Reading time scores and reading error scores which lay more than 1.5 times the interquartile range (IQR) higher than the third quartile were considered outliers. Next, 30 out of these 40 children were tested using the categorical perception task. A thirteen-step stimulus continuum from /ka/ to /ga/, made by changing voice onset time, was presented to the subjects with the steps in random order, and the subjects made judgments as to whether each stimulus sounded more like /ka/ or /ga/. Results: Reading time as assessed through all 4 tasks and reading errors as assessed through the non-word reading test and the single sentence reading test correlated weakly with the Categorical Perception Index (CPI), which indicated the stability of categorical judgment. In addition, the number of scores which were outliers also showed a weak correlation with CPI. A case of strumal carcinoid of the ovary which constipation has improved dramatically by tumor extraction

卵巣原発カルチノイドはまれな疾患で、本邦では全カルチノイドの1.3%程度である。一般的なカルチノイド症候群のように下痢などを呈さず、便秘を引き起こす場合があるのが特徴である。今回我々は卵巣甲状腺腫性カルチノイドのためと推測される長年にわたる便秘を合併し、腫瘍摘出後に軽快した症例を経験したので報告する。症例は45歳女性、数年前より便秘がちで、緩下剤を内服し排便は3日に1回程であった。内科の直腸診で腫瘤を指摘され当科初診した。MRIでダグラス窩に5cm大のT2WIで低信号を示す腫瘤を認め、右卵巣腫瘍、なかでも莢膜細胞腫が疑われた。経過観察期間中13cm大にまで増大したため、右付属器摘出術を施行した。病理組織学的検査で卵巣甲状腺腫性カルチノイドと診断した。術後速やかに便秘は改善し、毎日排便を認めるようになった。journal articl

Other Man, The

I wrote, directed and produced a short film (20-30 minutes) that I hope to submit to national film festivals. The film is inspired by French New Wave films from the 1950s and '60s, as well as American cinema from the 1960s and '70s. Specific influences include Jean-Luc Godard's À bout de souffle and Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver. The film is a portrait of Luce Parker, a man who is unable to adequately reveal his affection for the girl he loves. In the film I attempt to draw a sympathetic portrait of a stalker, a character that is typically cast as a "villain." This scenario is inspired by material from a crime and deviance seminar I took in the Sociology Department. My goal is to demonstrate that "bad guys" are relative and culturally defined, and that someone like a stalker can be a sympathetic, round character

昭和基地の降雪および飛雪の化学組成(1985)

application/pdf南極・昭和基地で越冬し,地吹雪(ブリザード)がおさまる毎に,風によって運ばれてきた雪を集めた。1985年2月から12月までの間に29試料が得られた。日本に持ち帰り,主成分6種(ナトリウム・カリウム・カルシウム・マグネシウム・塩化物イオン・硫酸イオン)を測定した。主成分の組成を海水の組成と比較するために,塩化物イオンを基準にして海水からの濃縮係数を求めたところ,大部分が0.8～1.2の範囲におさまり,降雪および飛雪に含まれる6成分の組成比は海水の組成比とほぼ同じであることが結論された。含まれていた塩の濃度を塩化物イオンで示すと,最大値は1.92g/l(5月7日採取),最小値は1.9mg/l(3月4日採取)であった。29 kinds of snow drift and deposited snow samples were collected in 1985 near Syowa Station, East Antarctica. Samples were taken every end of a blizzard. pH and electroconductivity were measured at the Syowa Station after melting snow samples. And then, those samples were packed in polyethylene bottles and re-freezed. Most of the chemical analysis was conducted at the laboratory of our Department after were carried back the samples in frozen state, employing general and conventional analytical methods. Chemical components of those snow samples varied considerably, ranging from 1.9mg/l to 1.92g/l on the chloride ion concentration. But containing ratio of components was nearly equal to that of sea water. Enrichment coefficient based on Copenhagen water were 0.8～1.2 with some exceptional case.departmental bulletin pape
