Integration of ground and on-board system for terminal count
The development of an integrated ground and onboard system for Space Shuttle terminal count management is discussed. The criteria considered in designing this system are outlined. Examples of problems encountered in the process of maturing the design are presented
Pengaruh Lingkungan Kerja, Motivasi Kerja dan Pelatihan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di Kantor Distrik Bintuni Kabupaten Teluk Bintuni
This research to analyze about how much the influence of the working influence, motivation work and training to the employee performance at the Bintuni District Office of the Teluk Bintuni Regency. This research using the quantitative approach with the explanatory survey method used the quetioner. Variable of this research are the working environment variable (X1), motivation work variable (X2), training variable (X3) to employee performance (Y). The amount of population are the whole of employee, that's are Civil Servant and Honorer amounted 31 employees working at the Bintuni District Office so that become the respondent in this research. The data collection technique with the quetioner using of Likert scala to examining validity and reliability. The resulst of this research showed that the working environment made strong influence to the employee performance showing to the correlation of coeficien is 0,662 and determination of coefisien is 0,438. The motivation work have strong influence to the employee performance with the correlation value is 0,667 and the determination of coeficien is 0,458. The training have a low influence with the correlation of coeficien is 0,606 and the determination of coeficien is 0,36. The working environment, motivation work and training with together have a strong influence to the employee performance with the determination is 0,667. Analysis of this research find out that the working environment and motivation work have a strong influence than the training have a low influence to employee performance at the Bintuni District Office of the Teluk Bintuni Regency
First principles studies of band offsets at heterojunctions and of surface reconstruction using Gaussian dual-space density functional theory
The use of localized Gaussian basis functions for large scale first principles density functional calculations with periodic boundary conditions (PBC) in 2 dimensions and 3 dimensions has been made possible by using a dual space approach. This new method is applied to the study of electronic properties of II–VI (II=Zn, Cd, Hg; VI=S, Se, Te, Po) and III–V (III=Al, Ga; V=As, N) semiconductors. Valence band offsets of heterojunctions are calculated including both bulk contributions and interfacial contributions. The results agree very well with available experimental data. The p(2 × 1) cation terminated surface reconstructions of CdTe and HgTe (100) are calculated using the local density approximation (LDA) with two-dimensional PBC and also using the ab initio Hartree–Fock (HF) method with a finite cluster. The LDA and HF results do not agree very well
LIVE HOG AND PORK IMPORTS: PAST AND PROJECTED CONSEQUENCES FOR THE U.S. PORK SECTOR
The U.S. pork sector is modeled to simulate the effects of alternative import levels on prices, production, consumption, farm receipts, and consumer expenditures. Over the 1983-1985 period, producers annually received 2.21 per hundredweight and .1 million head annually, respectively. Four simulations reflecting alternative import paths over the period 1986-1992 were examined. With lower imports (relative to current levels), production and farm prices rise significantly in the long run; consumers purchase less and pay more.International Relations/Trade,
Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Pelayanan Administrasi Perawatan Sepeda Motor di PT.Surapita Unitrans Surabaya
PT. Surapita Unitrans constitute a service company that handles process Kawasaki motorcycle. In handling process motorcycle vehicle maintenance there are some problems that occur in the company, namely the customer can\u27t information scedule queue service, no booking service for customers who have a solid rushing, there is no information available for customer, and in preparing reports to the section of After Sale still using MS Office. From the above problems, then be made a system design aplication administration service motorcycle in PT. Surapita Unitrans which can be set queue service customer automatically by using method Shortest Job First, there is booking service system available for customer, and system can provide information service form history service available for customer, and there is a reporting system for the division after sale.Based on trial results application system administration services made This application can help companies in addressing the queue automatically, generating system booking services for customer, produce history service so that customers can obtain the required information service, and there is reporting period for division After Sale

Impact of D0-D0bar mixing on the experimental determination of gamma
Several methods have been devised to measure the weak phase gamma using
decays of the type B+- --> D K+-, where it is assumed that there is no mixing
in the D0-D0bar system. However, when using these methods to uncover new
physics, one must entertain the real possibility that the measurements are
affected by new physics effects in the D0-D0bar system. We show that even
values of x_D and/or y_D around 10^{-2} can have a significant impact in the
measurement of sin^2{gamma}. We discuss the errors incurred in neglecting this
effect, how the effect can be checked, and how to include it in the analysis.Comment: 18 pages, Latex with epsfig, 8 figure
Representative Farms Economic Outlook for the January 2001 FAPRI/AFPC Baseline
The farm level economic impacts of projected long term prices under the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996 (FAIR) on representative crop and livestock operations are projected in this report. For this report the FAIR Act will be referred to as the 1996 Farm Bill. The analysis was conducted over the 1996-2005 planning horizon using FLIPSIM, AFPC’s whole farm simulation model. Data to simulate farming operations in the nation’s major production regions came from two sources: - Producer panel cooperation to develop economic information to describe and simulate representative crop, livestock, and dairy farms. - Projected prices, policy variables, and input inflation rates from the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) January 2001 Baseline. The primary objective of the analysis is to determine the farms’ economic viability by region and commodity throughout the life of the 1996 Farm Bill and beyond.Agribusiness, Agricultural and Food Policy, Crop Production/Industries,
Physiologic Medium Rewires Cellular Metabolism and Reveals Uric Acid as an Endogenous Inhibitor of UMP Synthase
A complex interplay of environmental factors impacts the metabolism of human cells, but neither traditional culture media nor mouse plasma mimic the metabolite composition of human plasma. Here, we developed a culture medium with polar metabolite concentrations comparable to those of human plasma (human plasma-like medium [HPLM]). Culture in HPLM, relative to that in traditional media, had widespread effects on cellular metabolism, including on the metabolome, redox state, and glucose utilization. Among the most prominent was an inhibition of de novo pyrimidine synthesis—an effect traced to uric acid, which is 10-fold higher in the blood of humans than of mice and other non-primates. We find that uric acid directly inhibits uridine monophosphate synthase (UMPS) and consequently reduces the sensitivity of cancer cells to the chemotherapeutic agent 5-fluorouracil. Thus, media that better recapitulates the composition of human plasma reveals unforeseen metabolic wiring and regulation, suggesting that HPLM should be of broad utility.National Institutes of Health (U.S.) (Grant R01CA103866)National Institutes of Health (U.S.) (Grant R37AI047389
