Identifying a forward scattering superconductor through pump-probe spectroscopy

Electron-boson scattering that is peaked in the forward direction has been suggested as an essential ingredient for enhanced superconductivity observed in FeSe monolayers. Here, we study the superconducting state of a system dominated by forward scattering in the time-domain and contrast its behavior against the standard isotropic BCS case for both s- and d-wave symmetries. An analysis of the electron's dynamics in the pump-driven non-equilibrium state reveals that the superconducting order in the forward-focused case is robust and persistent against the pump-induced perturbations. The superconducting order parameter also exhibits a non-uniform melting in momentum space. We show that this behavior is in sharp contrast to the isotropic interaction case and propose that time-resolved approaches are a potentially powerful tool to differentiate the nature of the dominant coupling in correlated materials.Comment: Updated the introduction and the methods section, 6 Pages, 5 figure

NLSC: Unrestricted Natural Language-based Service Composition through Sentence Embeddings

Current approaches for service composition (assemblies of atomic services) require developers to use: (a) domain-specific semantics to formalize services that restrict the vocabulary for their descriptions, and (b) translation mechanisms for service retrieval to convert unstructured user requests to strongly-typed semantic representations. In our work, we argue that effort to developing service descriptions, request translations, and matching mechanisms could be reduced using unrestricted natural language; allowing both: (1) end-users to intuitively express their needs using natural language, and (2) service developers to develop services without relying on syntactic/semantic description languages. Although there are some natural language-based service composition approaches, they restrict service retrieval to syntactic/semantic matching. With recent developments in Machine learning and Natural Language Processing, we motivate the use of Sentence Embeddings by leveraging richer semantic representations of sentences for service description, matching and retrieval. Experimental results show that service composition development effort may be reduced by more than 44\% while keeping a high precision/recall when matching high-level user requests with low-level service method invocations.Comment: This paper will appear on SCC'19 (IEEE International Conference on Services Computing) on July 1

Controlling a remotely located Robot using Hand Gestures in real time: A DSP implementation

Telepresence is a necessity for present time as we can't reach everywhere and also it is useful in saving human life at dangerous places. A robot, which could be controlled from a distant location, can solve these problems. This could be via communication waves or networking methods. Also controlling should be in real time and smooth so that it can actuate on every minor signal in an effective way. This paper discusses a method to control a robot over the network from a distant location. The robot was controlled by hand gestures which were captured by the live camera. A DSP board TMS320DM642EVM was used to implement image pre-processing and fastening the whole system. PCA was used for gesture classification and robot actuation was done according to predefined procedures. Classification information was sent over the network in the experiment. This method is robust and could be used to control any kind of robot over distance

Symbiotic Navigation in Multi-Robot Systems with Remote Obstacle Knowledge Sharing

Large scale operational areas often require multiple service robots for coverage and task parallelism. In such scenarios, each robot keeps its individual map of the environment and serves specific areas of the map at different times. We propose a knowledge sharing mechanism for multiple robots in which one robot can inform other robots about the changes in map, like path blockage, or new static obstacles, encountered at specific areas of the map. This symbiotic information sharing allows the robots to update remote areas of the map without having to explicitly navigate those areas, and plan efficient paths. A node representation of paths is presented for seamless sharing of blocked path information. The transience of obstacles is modeled to track obstacles which might have been removed. A lazy information update scheme is presented in which only relevant information affecting the current task is updated for efficiency. The advantages of the proposed method for path planning are discussed against traditional method with experimental results in both simulation and real environments

Survey on Classification of Brain Tumor using Wavelet Transform and PNN

This paper presents, a new method for Brain Tumor Classification using Probabilistic Neural Network with Discrete Wavelet Transformation is proposed. Human inspection was the conventional method available for computerized tomography, magnetic resonance brain images classification and tumor detection. The classification methods that are operator assisted are impractical incase of large amount of data that are also non reproducible. Operator performance leads to serious inaccuracies in classification by producing noise in Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance images. Neural Network techniques has shown great potential in the field of medical diagnosis. Hence, in this paper the Probabilistic Neural Network with Discrete Wavelet Transform was applied for classification of brain tumors. Classification was performed in two steps, i) Dimensionality reduction and Feature extraction using the Discrete Wavelet Transform and ii) classification using Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN). Evaluation was performed on image data base of Brain Tumor images. The proposed method gives better accuracy when compared to previous methods of classification

    Corporate Portal Management System

Web Portal Software Systems have become a very effective communication medium for sharing. Our Portal Management System dramatically simplifies the creation and management of portals. A corporate portal is a web-based platform to access with security a broad range of information, services, applications and expertise. The corporate portal management system platform offers a flexible and robust content management solution that allows employees, customers and partners to safely collaborate on, contribute to and manage business content anywhere around the world. It can be utilised as an extranet that serves both internal and external users or as an intranet for internal communication in an organisation. Corporate portals can also provide single sign-on capabilities between their users and various other systems. The focus of our software is on presenting documents and content in an effective manner to individuals, groups, customers, partners and vendors. Portal content, services and applications can be customized and personalized to the need of different users or user groups. Content will be published on portal by a content management tool. Before publishing the content, it will be approved by management by using workflow. The basic and the most important function of the Corporate Portal Management System is the routing of data using the concept of workflow along with the various features like scheduling, commenting module and other similar features which make the software using service highly interactive and communicative. The use of this software can result in a reduction in the number of man hours spent in moderating the content on any portal. It also provides an easy to understand and intuitive interface for users which greatly helps in adapting to the use of this software
