This paper presents the design and evaluation of an innovative experience to teach history based on the use of a numismatic workshop in the teaching unit on the Old Regime. We deepen mainly on methodological aspects of the experience, and the use of different sources to develop the interpretation and historical argument in students. The experience was carried out in three consecutive courses. The assessment of the experience was carried out through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale (1-5), where students should assess both the activity and the process of teaching and learning acquired. The results were positive over the three years
Leptogenesis, Z' bosons, and the reheating temperature of the Universe
We study the impact for leptogenesis of new U(1) gauge bosons coupled to the
heavy Majorana neutrinos. They can significantly enhance the efficiency of
thermal scenarios in the weak washout regime as long as the Z' masses are not
much larger than the reheating temperature (), with the
highest efficiencies obtained for Z' bosons considerably heavier than the heavy
neutrinos (). We show how the allowed region of the parameter
space is modified in the presence of a Z' and we also obtain the minimum
reheating temperature that is required for these models to be successful.Comment: 14 pages, 6 figures; One figure added, discussion on the reheating

Complete CKM quark mixing via dimensional deconstruction
It is shown that the deconstruction of into
is capable of providing all necessary ingredients to
completely impliment the complex CKM mixing of quark flavors. The hierarchical
structure of quark masses originates from the difference in the deconstructed
chiral zero-mode distribution in theory space, while the CP-violating phase
comes from the genuinely complex vacuum expectation value of link fields. The
mixing is constructed in a specific model to satisfy experimental bounds on
quarks' masses and CP violation.Comment: RevTex4, 25 pages, typos in section IIC corrected, published versio

Inverted ductal papilloma of the oral cavity secondary to lower lip trauma: a case report and literature review
Inverted ductal papilloma of the oral cavity is an infrequent benign neoplasm of papillary appearance that originates
in the secretory duct of a salivary gland. The etiology is unknown, though some authors have related it to human
papillomavirus (HPV) infection. We present the case of a 40-year-old woman with a tumor of the lower lip mucosa.

Objective: To compare the results obtained after oral mucocele resection with the scalpel versus the CO2 laser, based on the complications and recurrences after surgery Patients and Methods: Of the 68 patients we studied who have mucocele, 38 were resected with a scalpel and the remaining 30 with the CO2 laser (5-7 W). Patient sex and age were documented, along with location of the lesion as well as size, symptoms, duration, etiological factors, type of treatment, complications and recurrences after surgical removal. Results: The sample comprised 40 males and 28 females, aged between 6-65 years. The histological diagnosis was extravasation mucocele in 95% of the cases. The most frequent location was the lower lip (73.5%). The mean lesion diameter was 9 mm , and in most cases no evident etiological factor was recorded. The mean duration of the lesion was 4 months. Among the cases of conventional surgical removal of mucocele, recurrence was recorded in 8.8% of the cases, and 13.2% of the patients suffered postoperative complications - the most frequent being the presence of fibrous scars. There were no complications or relapses after a minimum follow-up of 12 months in the cases subjected to CO2 laser treatment. Conclusions: Oral mucocele ablation with the CO2 laser offers more predictable results and fewer complications and recurrences than conventional resection with the scalpe
