Autonomous Robot For Crack Detection Using Raspberry Pi With IOT & Ultrasonic

    Get PDF
Detection of cracks on bridge decks is a vital task for maintaining the structural health and reliability of concrete bridges. Crack inspection is an important task in the maintenance of bridge and it is closely related to structural health of bridge. Currently it is done through a very manual procedure, an experienced human inspector monitors the whole bridge surface visually and try to detect cracks on the bridge and marks the location of crack. But this manual approach having some limitations such limited accuracy. Proposed research focuses on implementing a system having a robot, equipped with a raspberry pi with ultra sonic connectivity with the help of IOT to detect the crack. The robot is travel from start point to end point through an IR sensor. Cracks were identified with the help of ultrasonic waves. Sensor Systems were used for identifying the cracks/holes of a bridge. Raspberry Pi is used as a processor for this robot, which is also best alternative used than the existing one, processing and intimating the manager is done with the help of Raspberry Pi. The information exchange will be done through a simple SMS and geographical location should be done through the Wi-Fi connected to i

Acute exacerbation of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: a proposal

Acute exacerbation of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) occurs in roughly 10% of patients annually, and is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in this disease. While currently defined as idiopathic acute worsenings, acute exacerbations of IPF may in fact have a variety of causes, in particular infection and aspiration. Central to the pathobiology of clinically meaningful events is a diffuse injury to the IPF lung manifest histopathologically as diffuse alveolar damage, and biologically as accelerated alveolar epithelial cell injury or repair. Based on these recent observations, we propose a new paradigm for acute exacerbation of IPF that removes the idiopathic requirement and focuses on the pathophysiological mechanism involved

A reduced complexity MIMO system with antenna selection for high data rate wireless communications

    No full text
498-504In this paper, orthogonal space-time block codes (OSTBC) are considered for investigating impact of receive antenna selection on the capacity and error probability analysis of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The results are compared with and without antenna selection of 2X2 and 2X4 MIMO systems. Achieved capacity with receive antenna selection for Nr≥NT has been found close to the capacity of full complexity system, whereas upper capacity bound is tight for Nr ≤ NT

Analysis of discrete wavelet based image compression technique: A review

915-919In this paper, wavelet based coding algorithm, Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT), is considered for encoding and decoding image data. SPIHT uses recursive set partitioning procedure to sort subsets of wavelet coefficient by maximum magnitude with respect to threshold. SPIHT is simple, less complex and has very fast encoding and decoding, making it very efficient in multimedia communication. Numerical results obtained using MATLAB shows that output image has high value of peak signal to noise ratio with good compression ratio for low bit rate. &nbsp
