Domain formation of modulation instability in spin-orbit-Rabi coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equation with cubic-quintic interactions
The effect of two- and three-body interactions on the modulation instability
(MI) domain formation of a spin-orbit (SO) and Rabi-coupled Bose-Einstein
condensate is studied within a quasi-one-dimensional model. To this aim, we
perform numerical and analytical investigations of the associated dispersion
relations derived from the corresponding coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equation. The
interplay between the linear (SO and Rabi) couplings with the nonlinear
cubic-quintic interactions are explored in the mixture, considering miscible
and immiscible configurations, with a focus on the impact in the analysis of
experimental realizations with general binary coupled systems, in which
nonlinear interactions can be widely varied together with linear couplings.Comment: 11 pages, 10 figure
Attractor and self-similar group of generalized fuzzy contraction mapping in fuzzy metric space
In this paper, we construct a deterministic fractal in fuzzy metric space using generalized fuzzy contraction mapping and its fixed-point theorem in hyperspace of non-empty compact sets. Moreover, we present the self-similar group of -contraction in fuzzy metric space and prove some familiar results of self-similar group for fuzzy metric space

Middle molecules such as Cystatin C and β2-microglobulin accumulate in renal disease and plasma levels have been used to estimate kidney function early in this condition. We investigated their use to estimate RKF in patients on HD. DESIGN: Cystatin C, β2-microglobulin, urea and creatinine levels were studied in patients on incremental high-flux HD or hemodiafiltration(HDF). Over sequential HD sessions, blood was sampled pre- and post-session 1 and pre-session 2, for estimation of these parameters. Urine was collected during the whole interdialytic interval, for estimation of residual GFR (GFRResidual = mean of urea and creatinine clearance). The relationships of plasma Cystatin C and β2-microglobulin levels to GFRResidual and urea clearance were determined. RESULTS: Of the 341 patients studied, 64% had urine output>100 ml/day, 32.6% were on high-flux HD and 67.4% on HDF. Parameters most closely correlated with GFRResidual were 1/β2-micoglobulin (r2 0.67) and 1/Cystatin C (r2 0.50). Both these relationships were weaker at low GFRResidual. The best regression model for GFRResidual, explaining 67% of the variation, was: GFRResidual = 160.3 · (1/β2m) - 4.2. Where β2m is the pre-dialysis β2 microglobulin concentration (mg/L). This model was validated in a separate cohort of 50 patients using Bland-Altman analysis. Areas under the curve in Receiver Operating Characteristic analysis aimed at identifying subjects with urea clearance≥2 ml/min/1.73 m2 was 0.91 for β2-microglobulin and 0.86 for Cystatin C. A plasma β2-microglobulin cut-off of ≤19.2 mg/L allowed identification of patients with urea clearance ≥2 ml/min/1.73 m2 with 90% specificity and 65% sensitivity. CONCLUSION: Plasma pre-dialysis β2-microglobulin levels can provide estimates of RKF which may have clinical utility and appear superior to cystatin C. Use of cut-off levels to identify patients with RKF may provide a simple way to individualise dialysis dose based on RKF.Peer reviewe
The relationship between underemployment and job satisfaction of commercial bank employees: evidence from Nuwaragama area, Anuradhapura district
This study examined the relationship between underemployment and job
satisfaction of domestic commercial bank employees. The purpose of this study
is to determine how the employees of the banking sector perceived themselves
as underemployed for the job they currently assigned and its impact on their
job satisfaction. To find the result of this study the related date was collected
by filling self-administrated questionnaires as one of the primary data
collection method by the selected population's sample of 154 employees. Of the
selected sample 131 questionnaires were completed and usable for this study.
Correlation and regression analysis was performed to test the hypothesized
relationship. Employees perceived over qualification has become an important
topic in the world of work most specifically in domestic commercial bank sector.
The research study will take a hard look by the primary reason for lack of
acceptability due to over education or underutilisation of knowledge, skill, and
abilities within the work place. Finding of the study indicated that
underemployment was negatively related to job satisfaction. For the
commercial bank sector employees in Nuwaragama area Anuradhapura
district were selected as interest of population to find the result of the study. On
the basis of these findings, managerial implications of the study and future
research direction was highlighted
Mental health of women and children experiencing family violence in conflict settings: a mixed methods systematic review
Background:
Armed conflict has significant impacts on individuals and families living in conflict-affected settings globally. Scholars working to prevent violence within families have hypothesised that experiencing armed conflict leads to an increase in family violence and mental health problems. In this review, we assessed the prevalence of family violence in conflict settings, its association with the mental health of survivors, moderating factors, and the importance of gender relations. //
Methods:
Following PRISMA guidelines, we systematically reviewed quantitative and qualitative studies that assessed the prevalence of family violence and the association between family violence and mental health problems, within conflict settings (PROSPERO reference CRD42018114443). //
Results:
We identified 2605 records, from which 174 full text articles were screened. Twenty-nine studies that reported family violence during or up to 10 years after conflict were eligible for inclusion. Twenty one studies were quantitative, measuring prevalence and association between family violence and mental health problems. The studies were generally of high quality and all reported high prevalence of violence. The prevalence of violence against women was mostly in the range of 30–40%, the highest reported prevalence of physical abuse being 78.9% in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For violence against children, over three-quarters had ever experienced violence, the highest prevalence being 95.6% in Sri Lanka. Associations were found with a number of mental health problems, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder. The risk varied in different locations. Eight qualitative studies showed how men’s experience of conflict, including financial stresses, contributes to their perpetration of family violence. //
Conclusions:
Family violence was common in conflict settings and was associated with mental health outcomes, but the studies were too heterogenous to determine whether prevalence or risk was greater than in non-conflict settings. The review highlights an urgent need for more robust data on perpetrators, forms of family violence, and mental health outcomes in conflict-affected settings in order to help understand the magnitude of the problem and identify potential solutions to address it

Childhood indicators of susceptibility to subsequent cervical cancer
Common warts could indicate cervical cancer susceptibility, as both are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Eczema was also investigated, as atopic eczema has been negatively associated with warts, but non-atopic eczema may be associated with compromised host defences, as observed in patients with HIV, suggesting increased susceptibility to HPV infection and cervical cancer. ‘Cervical cancer’ was self-reported during an interview by 87 of 7594 women members of two longitudinal British birth cohorts. The accuracy of the diagnoses is limited by lack of confirmation using medical records. Odds ratios are adjusted for common warts and eczema in childhood; and cigarette smoking, number of cohabiting partners and social class in early adult life. The odds ratios of warts and eczema with cervical cancer are 2.50 (95% confidence interval 1.14–5.47) and 3.27 (1.95–5.49), respectively. The association of eczema with cervical cancer is independent of hay fever as a marker of atopy, suggesting the importance of non-atopic eczema. Both heavier smoking compared with non-smoking and four or more cohabiting partners compared with one/none have odds ratios for cervical cancer of 8.26 (4.25–15.10) and 4.89 (1.39–17.18), respectively. Common warts in childhood may indicate cervical cancer susceptibility; this and the relationship with eczema deserves investigation
A branch-and-cut algorithm for a multi-item inventory distribution problem
This paper considers a multi-item inventory distribution problem motivated
by a practical case occurring in the logistic operations of an hospital. There, a
single warehouse supplies several nursing wards. The goal is to define a weekly distribution
plan of medical products that minimizes the visits to wards, while respecting
inventory capacities and safety stock levels. A mathematical formulation is introduced
and several improvements such as tightening constraints, valid inequalities and an extended
reformulation are discussed. In order to deal with real size instances, an hybrid
heuristic based on mathematical models is introduced and the improvements are discussed.
A branch-and-cut algorithm using all the discussed improvements is proposed.
Finally, a computational experimentation is reported to show the relevance of the model
improvements and the quality of the heuristic scheme
New insights into HIV-1-primary skin disorders
Since the first reports of AIDS, skin involvement has become a burdensome stigma for seropositive patients and a challenging task for dermatologist and infectious disease specialists due to the severe and recalcitrant nature of the conditions. Dermatologic manifestations in AIDS patients act as markers of disease progression, a fact that enhances the importance of understanding their pathogenesis
