This paper is aimed to understand the properties of concrete panel containing paper sludge as sand replacement. The control mixture is composed without paper sludge. The other mixtures were produced by replacing the coefficient of sand content, gradually by 0.25, so that the total are 12 mixtures. All the sand for the final mixture was replaced by paper sludge. The mixtures were produced using mechanic mixes to achieve homogenous mixtures before cast in 200 mm x 100 mm x 50 mm steel frame. After 21 hours keep in the steel frame, the samples were then cured in water for 3 days, followed by water sprayed twice a day, for 24 days. The results of the test indicated that the concrete panel containing paper sludge is lighter then the control mixture, higher water absorbtion and higher thermal coefficient. Two types of sand replacement comply with S11-0797-83 in term of water content. However, no types of modified mixture comply with S11-0797-83 in terms of density and flexural strength

Lipid Production From Microalgae as a Promising Candidate for Biodiesel Production

Recently, several strains of microalgae have been studied as they contain high lipid content capable to be converted tobiodiesel. Fresh water microalgae Chlorella vulgaris studied in this research was one of the proof as it contained hightriacyl glyceride which made it a potential candidate for biodiesel production. Factors responsible for good growing ofmicroalgae such as CO2 and nitrogen concentration were investigated. It was found that total lipid content wasincreased after exposing to media with not enough nitrogen concentration. However, under this nitrogen depletionmedia, the growth rate was very slow leading to lower lipid productivity. The productivity could be increased byincreasing CO2 concentration. The lipid content was found to be affected by drying temperature during lipid extractionof algal biomass. Drying at very low temperature under vacuum gave the best result but drying at 60oC slightlydecreased the total lipid content

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengambilan keputusan konsumen di Kota Semarang dalam memilih vendor pesta pernikahan. Memahami proses pengambilan keputusan konsumen merupakan tugas penting Marketing Public Relations di setiap Perusahaan penyedia jasa. Pengambilan keputusan itu dilihat pada 7 dimensi pernikahan yaitu wedding organizer; venue; catering; decoration; documentation; bride and groom costume & makeup and beauty. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Kuantitatif Deskriptif dan menggunakan metode penelitian survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengambilan keputusan konsumen diawali dengan identifikasi kebutuhan, dengan kebutuhan tertinggi yaitu kebutuhan akan Kenyamanan. Tahap berikutnya adalah tahap pencarian informasi dengan sumber informasi tertinggi pada sumber kelompok. Tahap ketiga adalah tahap evaluasi alternatif dengan bahan pertimbangan tertinggi pada atribut harga. Tahap terakhir adalah tahap di mana konsumen sudah memutuskan vendor mana yang mereka pilih

Implikasi Konstitusionalitas Pengaturan Syarat Domisili Calon Kepala Desa

Desa sebagai entitas terkecil dari suatu pemerintahan daerah memiliki peran penting untuk mensukseskan pembangunan nasional. Karena itulah, eksistensi desa tetap tidak dapat dilepaskan dari pengaturan pemerintah pusat dan diakomodir keberadaannya melalui Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa. Salah satu ketentuan yang dirasa melanggar hak konstitusional warga desa adalah ketentuan Pasal 33 huruf g Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa yang menyatakan “calon kepala desa wajib memenuhi persyaratan : terdaftar sebagai penduduk dan bertempat tinggal di desa setempat paling kurang 1 (satu) tahun sebelum pendaftaran”. Ketentuan tersebut dianggap memangkas hak banyak penduduk yang ingin berkarya menjadi kepala desa namun belum sampai satu tahun domisilinya. Namun, akhirnya pada tanggal 23 Agustus 2016, Mahkamah Konstitusi menyatakan bahwa ketentuan tersebut bertentangan dengan UUD 1945 dan tidak memiliki kekuatan hukum mengikat. Lumrahnya suatu Putusan Pengadilan, akan menimbulkan juga rasa kekhawatiran terhadap implikasi yang dapat timbul akibat Putusan MK tersebut. Penulis memberikan simpulan terdapat beberapa implikasi atau simpul keterlibatan yang muncul yakni Pemilihan Kepala Desa merupakan rezim pemerintahan Daerah dan bukan rezim pemilihan umum, adanya anggapan dan kekhawatiran, bahwa kepala desa yang terpilih dan bukan dari domisili tempat dia terpilih akan memberikan potensi buruk seperti penyalahgunaan wewenang demi kepentingan elit desa, Terbukanya kesempatan bagi calon kepala desa yang berasal dari luar domisili setempat justru membuka peluang bagi sumber daya manusia yang bermutu tinggi untuk memajukan desa dan perlu adanya penyesuaian peraturan teknis dibawah Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa yang berkaitan dengan syarat domisili

The research method is data collection in the form of interviews with the company management and staff, field observations, literature research related to strategic planning and information technology systems. The results of this study prove that the company has a weakness in the implementation of information systems which is not maximized , while the strength of the company has not been fully supported by the use of information technology . This shows that the need for strategic planning and information technology systems to support achievement of business strategy at the company over the next five years. Racism is one of the problem that will never end, from years ago that we knew as slavery era until now in the modern era where we have a lot of law that prohibit racism in the world but still based on data it\u27s exist. Almost the same with the current condition nowadays 12 Years a Slave is telling us about slavery era that happen in America when slavery is prohibited but in several parts of America number of slave and racism are increasing. A lot of Afro-America people is kidnapped and lost their freedom as a slave. But in the middle of this hard era of slavery so many people are fighting for their rights to be able to get a normal life and free like a normal people. High Plasma Tnf-? Levels And Mononuclear Cells Inos And Tnf-? Expression AS Risk Factors For Painful Diabetic Neuropathy

Painful Diabetic Neuropathy (PDN) is one of the most common and annoyingcomplications of diabetes mellitus. The pathogenesis of PDN is complex and still unclear.Recently it has become clear that nitric oxide (NO) and proinflammatory cytokines playan important role in the pathogenesis and maintenance of pain in PDN. Based on thisphenomenon, this study was conducted to investigate whether the cytokine tumornecrosis factor-alpha (TNF-?) and NO, in this case inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase(iNOS), play a role in PDN pathogenesis.The study was carried in two steps. The first step was a cross sectional and thesecond step was a case-control study. The study was performed in 110 type-2 diabeticpatients. The plasma TNF-? levels were determined by ELISA while the expression ofTNF-? and iNOS in mononuclear cells were analyzed immunohistochemically.Of 110 subjects, 59 patients suffered from Painful DN (case) and the remaining51 patients were Painless DN (control). Cross sectionally, plasma TNF-? levels andimmunoreactivity for iNOS and TNF-? were higher in patients with more severe pain inthe Visual Analog Scale (VAS). There were statistically significant differences (p <0.05) between mild and severe pain in regard to TNF-? level (15.24 pg/ml ± 5.42 vs.20.44 pg/ml ± 10.34 ); to iNOS immunoreactivity (9.72 % ± 8.61 vs. 15.6% ± 11.84); andto TNF-? immunoreactivity (13.0 % ± 9. 48 vs. 20.44% ± 11.75).The case control study showed that TNF-? had an odd ratio of 5.053 [CI 95%(2.241-11.392); p < 0.001]. TNF-? immunoreactivity of 4.125 [CI 95% (1.805-9.425); p< 0.001]; and iNOS immunoreactivity of 3.546 [CI 95% (1.613-7.795); p = 0.002]. There were correlations between TNF-? level, TNF-? and iNOS immunoreactivity andVAS with coefficient correlation: 0.330; 0.285 and 0.275 (p < 0.05) respectively.It is concluded that Diabetic Neuropathy patients with high TNF-? levels, iNOSand TNF-? immunoreactivity of mononuclear cells have higher risk for painful DN thanpainless DN. The higher TNF-? level, iNOS and TNF-? immunoreactivity the moresevere was the pain. This supports the hypothesis that TNF-? and iNOS have role inPDN pathogenesis. The results of this research could be applied as a basic for furtherresearch in pursuit of better management of PDN
