Abstract: Hemangiomas of the uterine cervix are very rare. They are usually small and harmless. This is a case of cervical hemangioma presenting with intractable postpartum hemorrhage that made hysterectomy mandatory. This benign tumor may cause obstetrical complications. Keywords: Hemangioma, Uterine cervix, Postpartum hemorrhag

M2 to D2 and vice versa by 3-Lie and Lie bialgebra

Using the concept of 3-Lie bialgebra, which has recently been defined in arXiv:1604.04475, we construct Bagger-Lambert-Gustavson (BLG) model for M2-brane on Manin triple of a special 3-Lie bialgebra. Then by using the correspondence and relation between those 3-Lie bialgebra with Lie bialgebra, we reduce this model to an N=(4,4)N=(4,4) WZW model (D2-brane), such that, its algebraic structure is a Lie bialgebra with one 2-cocycle. In this manner by using correspondence of 3-Lie bialgebra and Lie bialgebra (for this special 3-Lie algebra) one can construct M2-brane from a D2-brane and vice versa.Comment: 13 page

Divisible load scheduling of image processing applications on the heterogeneous star and tree networks using a new genetic algorithm

    Get PDF
The divisible load scheduling of image processing applications on the heterogeneous star and multi-level tree networks is addressed in this paper. In our platforms, processors and network links have different speeds. In addition, computation and communication overheads are considered. A new genetic algorithm for minimizing the processing time of low-level image applications using divisible load theory is introduced. The closed-form solution for the processing time, the image fractions that should be allocated to each processor, the optimum number of participating processors, and the optimal sequence for load distribution are derived. The new concept of equivalent processor in tree network is introduced and the effect of different image and kernel sizes on processing time and speed up are investigated. Finally, to indicate the efficiency of our algorithm, several numerical experiments are presented

Simple method for extracting gold from electrical and electronic wastes using hydrometallurgical process

    Get PDF
Background: This research studied the feasibility of a simple method for extracting gold from central processing units (CPUs) of computer circuit boards without solvent. Methods: Ceramic and composite CPUs of computer circuit boards were used. Gold was extracted using a hydrometallurgical method in six stages: grinding of CPUs, leaching in nitric acid, leaching in aqua regia, removing the excess nitric acid, extracting the gold, washing and purifying the gold deposits. Measurements of extracted precious metals were carried out by inductively coupled plasma (ICP). Results: The results indicated that mean concentrations of gold in the first and second stages of leaching were 0.138 and 31.16 mg/L, respectively. Following the washing stage, the concentration of gold in the final deposit was 25 mg/L. The purity rate of the final deposit was 83.9%, and the final gold recovery yielded 82.3%. Conclusion: The results of this study indicated there is a potential for extracting a high percentage of precious metals from e-wastes without solvent. THE COMPARISON OF SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, AND STRESS AMONG ADOLESCENT SUICIDE ATTEMPTERS ABUSING DRUG AND ADOLESCENTS WITHOUT DRUG ABUSE IN ZABOL, 2016

Addiction and drug abuse are among the issues that have been greatly adverted by the clinical psychologists and psychiatrists. Suicide attempt, like other social phenomena, is not uni-causal; a variety of factors affects this phenomenon. Thus, having an exact awareness of suicide factors and studying the importance of the factors seem necessary. The present research aims at studying suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, and stress among adolescent suicide attempters abusing drug and adolescents without any drug abuse in Zabol in 2016. The present study is a comparative descriptive-analytical one. The statistical populations of the present study were all the 18-to-29-year-old suicide attempters, with a record of drug abuse referring to Imam Ali Hospital in Zabol in 2016. The data collection tool was depression questionnaire and Beck's suicidal thoughts questionnaire. T-independent and chi-square tests were used for data analysis applying SPSS version 18. The participants' mean age was 14.12 +/- 4.13 years. The drug abusers' mean score of depression, anxiety, stress, and suicidal thoughts were 10.12 +/- 4.16, 7.26 +/- 4.48, 9.02 +/- 4.15, and 18.42 +/- 6.12 respectively. As for the comparison group they were 4.32 +/- 2.18, 4.36 +/- 4.26, 5.16 +/- 4.46, and 6.32 +/- 4.18 respectively (p=0.001). The findings obtained from the T-test for the independent groups indicate the difference in means between the two groups with respect to the degree of depression (p=0.001) and suicidal thoughts (p=0.002). The findings obtained from the present study indicated that variables such as drug abuse, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts are closely related with suicide attempt. Given the comorbidity of drug dependence and other psychiatric disorders, providing educational interventions, executing preventive social plans, and treating psychological disorders for preventing suicide attempts are of great importance
