One of the ways to overcome the problems is consuming herbal nutritious that can increase nutritional status. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of Herbal Medicine consisting of red ginger (Zingiber officinale), white onion (Allium sativum), lemon (citrus lemon), apple vinegar (apple cider vinegar) and honey (honey bee pollen) on the improvement of nutrient status of prenuptial age women of the students of Midwifery Program of Indonesia Moslem Unversity, Makassar City. The research used an experimental design with pre-post control group design conducted to the students of Midwifery Study Program. The samples were 30 students consisting of 30 girls given herbal Medicine as the intervention group and 30 female students given nutrition education as the control group. The measurement of Body Weight, BMI, UAC, and energy consumption was done before and after the treatment in week 8. The periodical measurement was done every two weeks. The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Test and Mann Whitney Test. The results of the research indicate there is a significant effect on the nutrient status of the students of Midwifery Study Program, Public Health Faculty, Indonesia Muslim University in which body weight is p=0.000 for intervention group and p=0.408 for control group; body mass index is p=0.000 for intervention group and p=0.317 for control group; upper arm is p=0.000 for intervention group and p=0.466 for control group, and consumption energy is p=0.001 for intervention group and p=0.719 for control group

Abstract PT. XYZ has various divisions, one of them is the R&D division. This division is responsible for research and innovation. The highest impact on accidents caused by a worker injured and bleeding around 14.29%. In addition, the highest potential hazards are raw material spill around 14.29%. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to identify the factors potentially that lead to the high potential hazards in the R&D division. In addition, it also formulates the alternative to decision-making strategies. The research method used the SWOT method and AHP to determine the priority to selecting strategies for reducing the potential for occupational hazards. This study used the questionnaires and distributed among five experts in the company. The result shows that the strategy of Weakness-Opportunity (WO) is the highest weight around 3.38. Then, the calculation by using the AHP method obtained that monitoring and evaluation of occupational health and safety through improvement of Work Instruction became the main priority is equal to 0.32. The AHP method also showed the consistency value of approximately 0.09. Therefore, further research is needed to evaluate the alternatives chosen.</jats:p

Statistical Examination of Uncaria gambir Roxb Drying Modeling

This study investigates the drying modeling of Uncaria gambir Roxb using convective desiccant examined by statistical parameters. Three types of drying modeling are investigated, i.e. the Newton, Page and Henderson-Pabis models. The drying conditions of Uncaria gambir Roxb were set at 35oC, 45oC and 55oC and air velocity of 1.2 m/s. The results show that the Page modeling is the best fit model for this investigation based on values of R2 (coefficient of determinant), RMSE (root mean square error) and χ2 (chi-square) goodness of fit test derived from (MR) moisture ratio equation. The Page modeling shows R2 value nearest to unity and lowest values of RMSE and χ2 are obtained for all given temperatures (35oC, 45oC and 55oC) at air velocity of 1.2 m/s. The drying modeling is useful for optimization in design process encountered with product quality and cost of production.</jats:p
