Surface enhanced Raman optical activity as an ultra sensitive tool for ligand binding analysis

Abstract. The Surface Enhanced Resonance Raman Scattering (SERRS) and Surface Enhanced Resonance Raman Optical Activity (SERROA) spectra of myoglobin and the myoglobin-azide complex were measured on very dilute samples (100 nM protein) in order to analyze the sensitivity of SERROA spectroscopy when inducing small structural changes. While the SERRS spectra of the two compounds were virtually identical, comparison of the SERROA spectra revealed several differences, including frequency shifts and changes in signal intensity, consistent with structural change in the porphyrin prosthetic group of the protein upon azide complexation. Application of this method allows for rapid analysis of ligand binding in metalloproteins in dilute aqueous solution and could in the future, when combined with theoretical studies, increase the obtainable structural resolution of proteins beyond that of X-ray analysis

Perhentian Raja sub-district with a population of 21 091 inhabitants only 1,371 souls who already have birth certificates and as many as 15 253 inhabitants who do not have birth certificates. Only 8.25% of people who have a birth certificate, so it can be said public awareness of the birth certificate of ownership in the District Perhentian Raja is very low when compared to the sub-districts of lainnyan in Kampar regency. This study aims to determine the level of participation and barriers to community participation in Possession of birth certificates in the District Perhentian Raja Kampar Regency Year 2014-2015.This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive research, which can be interpreted as troubleshooting processes are investigated with described the state of the research subjects were based on the facts that appear during the study were then followed by the popularity of existing theories. Based on the survey results revealed the level of community participation in performing the maintenance of a birth certificate in the District Perhentian Raja is still low, it is not appropriate to the number of births per year. Where the average annual community maintains birth certificates 15% of the birth rate. While the internal constraints of society itself and also external constraints that come from neighborhoods and local governments

Morphologic and meristic analyses were performed aided by regression charts on 96 specimens of the genus Parastromateus, 67 specimens of Caranx, 70 specimens of Alepes, 69 specimens of Scomberoides, 62 specimens of Atropus, 104 specimens of Carangoides, and 67 specimens of Trachionotus from March 2004 to February 2005. The samples were collected by using bottom trawling in the Persian Gulf. The analyses showed the complete separability of the genus while keeping their close connection with the Family. We found that Parastrometeus was specially unique in terms of keeping its relationship with the family Carangidae

Introducing genetic markers for identification and separation of 4 species of Persian Gulf and Oman Sea fishes using PCR- RFLP method

In order to introduce genetic markers of four species of fishes, 80 samples of each species, i.e. Parastromateus niger, Scomberomorus comersoniannus, Trachionotus mookalee and Caranx para were collected. DNA was extracted using phenol- chloroform method. The target gene (cytochrome b) was amplified by Thermal cycle (PCR) and the PCR product size estimated 1105 bp. In this research out of 27 DNAase enzymes which were used for PCR product enzyme digesting 8 enzymes (Bam HI, Alw 261, Rsa I, Mbo I, Alu I, Hinf I, Dpn I, Dde I) have cut side on target DNA and three enzymes of them Alu I, Hinf I and Mbo I showed polymorphism genetic differences while other enzymes displayed similar patterns. Variation of haplotypes from four species are as follows: BAA for P. niger, AAB for T. mookalee, ABA for C. para, and ACA for S. comersonianus. So it is possible to claim that each of the above Haplotypes may be used as genetic markers for each of the species

Fuzzy Expert Ants to speed up big TSP Problems using ACS

Ant colony algorithms are a group of heuristic optimization algorithms that have been inspired by behavior of real ants foraging for food. In these algorithms some simple agents (i.e. ants), search the solution space for finding the suitable solution. Ant colony algorithms have many applications to computer science problems especially in optimization, such as machine drill optimization, and routing. This group of algorithms have some sensitive parameters controlling the behavior of agents, like relative pheromone importance on trail and pheromone decay coefficient. Convergence and efficiency of algorithms is highly related to these parameters. Optimal value of these parameters for a specific problem is determined through trial and error and does not obey any rule. Some approaches proposed to adapt parameter of these algorithms for better answer. The most important feature of the current adaptation algorithms are complication and time overhead. In this paper we have presented a simple and efficient approach based on fuzzy logic for optimizing ACS algorithm and by using different experiments efficiency of this proposed approach has been evaluated and we have shown that the presented concept is one of the most important reasons in success for parameter adapting algorithms

Comparing the Effects of Aerobic and Stretching Exercises on the Intensity of Primary Dysmenorrhea in the Students of Universities of Bushehr

Objective: To compare the effects of aerobic and stretching exercises on severity of primary dysmenorrhea. Materials and methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 105 female students who were suffering from primary dysmenorrhea. The participants were divided into aerobic exercise, stretching exercise, and control groups. The two intervention groups did the exercises three times a week for eight weeks (two menstrual cycles). The intensity of dysmenorrhea was determined using a modified questionnaire that assessed several symptoms of dysmenorrhea. After all, the data were compared between and within groups through analysis of variance. Results: Before the intervention, the mean intensity of dysmenorrhea was 40.38 ± 5.5, 37.40 ± 3.8, and 38.45±3.3 in aerobic, stretching, and control groups, respectively, but the difference was not statistically significant. After the intervention, however, a significant difference was found among the three groups regarding the mean intensity of dysmenorrhea in the first and second menstrual cycles. Also, a significant difference was observed between the aerobic group and the control group as well as between the stretching group and the control group. Within group comparisons showed a significant difference in the aerobic and the stretching group before and after the interventions. However, no such difference was observed in control group. Conclusion: Both aerobic and stretching exercises were effective in reducing the severity of dysmenorrhea. Therefore, women could choose one of these two methods with regard to their interest and lifestyle
