Introduction to "An International Institute for Plant Nutrition"

Paper prepared by USAID introducing the concept of an institute of plant nutrition, including a fertilizer development center. The institute would consider the overall system of nutrient supply, with a concentration on biological nitrogen fixation and microbial solubilization of nitrogen, conservation and reuse of plant nutrients in waste products, and improvement of the production and use of chemical fertilizers in the tropics and subtropics.
