Effects of application parameters, film thickness, and dehydration oven temperature on automotive waterborne basecoat popping

    Get PDF
Application parameters: flow rate, target distance, film thickness, and dehydration oven temperature were investigated in relation to automotive waterborne basecoat popping. The study was conducted in three phases using melamine cross-linked acrylic latex basecoat and acrylic acid/epoxy clear coat. All experiments were conducted at the Automotive Research and Development Centre in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. First, a relationship among tip speed, flow rate, and film thickness was established, which was used later to set constant film thickness. The Phase-1 study indicates that flow rate and target distance are not significant in relation to popping. A complementary analysis indicates that film thickness significantly affects popping. Film thickness was also found significant in relation to popping from the Phase-2 study. The Phase-3 study indicates that dehydration oven temperature and film thickness significantly affects popping. Although this study identified the factors causing waterborne basecoat popping, conditions for a pop-free paint surface were not achieved

Erosion of Traditional Seed Supply System in Murshidabad District of West Bengal

    Get PDF
This study aims to explore the erosion of traditional seed supply system (TSSS) in Murshidabad district of West Bengal with reference to the erosion of rice diversity in the district. Agriculture is the main occupation of Murshidabad because of its favourable climate and quality of soil. The investigators had interviewed 400 cultivators from all the 26 community development blocks in the district and found that 164 varieties of rice were once available in the farmers’ fields and at present only 12 are being cultivated marginally. In the case of high yielding varieties (HYV), farmers generally prefer to buy seeds from the market for consistent yield. A very little percentage of farmers keep HYV seeds for the next year’s planting material

Using Multi-Label Multi-Class Support Vector Machines with Semantic and Lexical Features for Aspect Category Detection

    Get PDF
In contrast to the aspects, aspect categories are often coarser and don't always appear as terms in sentences. Besides, the typical way to element the types associated with part is generally grainier concerning factors and doesn't exist within verdicts. The primary intent of the study is to investigate the efficacy of Lexicon, linguistic, vector-based, and features correlated to semantics within the aspect of the responsibility built with the finding of aspect category detection ACD). Semantic and emotional data are captured via vector-based features. Further, it examines vector-based feature superiority issues within the compression of features of text-based characteristics. Study purposes to the linguistic efficacy with the Lexicon, linguistic, and semantic features, also vector-based dependent to the system. Also, the information led with vector-based features that capture the semantic with sentimental analysis characteristics. With the experimental outcomes, the performance efficacy with the vector-based features outperformed text-based features. The methodologies associated with deep learning have generated features within the vector orientation relevant to the word-based structures. Therefore, the proposed method achieved effectiveness with the determined constraints by applying the metrics of precision, recall, and F1 scores. Correlating with the performance of ABSA's state-of-the-art techniques, the proposed research process gained superior outcomes

Vector Autoregressive (VAR) Modeling and Projection of DSE

    Get PDF
In this paper, vector autoregressive (VAR) models have been recognized for the selected indicators of Dhaka stock exchange (DSE). Bangladesh uses the micro economic variables, such as stock trade, invested stock capital, stock volume, current market value, and DSE general indexes which have the direct impact on DSE prices. The data were collected for the period from June 2004 to July 2013 as the basis on daily scale. But to get the maximum explorative information and reduction of volatility, the data have been transformed to the monthly scale. The outliers and extreme values of the study variables are detected through box and whisker plot. To detect the unit root property of the study variables, various unit root tests have been applied. The forecast performance of the different VAR models is compared to have the minimum residual. Moreover, the dynamics of this financial market is analyzed through Granger causality and impulse response analysis

Enhancing the Performance of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells Using Silver Nanoparticles Modified Photoanode.

In this study, silver nanoparticles were synthesized, characterized, and applied to a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) to enhance the efficiency of solar cells. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized with UV-Vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, transmission electron microscopy, and field emission scanning electron microscopy. The silver nanoparticles infused titanium dioxide film was also characterized by Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopy. The performance of DSSC fabricated with silver nanoparticle-modified photoanode was compared with that of a control group. The current and voltage characteristics of the devices as well as the electrochemical impedance measurements were also carried out to assess the performance of the fabricated solar cells. The solar-to-electric efficiency of silver nanoparticles based DSSC was 1.76%, which is quite remarkable compared to the 0.98% realized for DSSC fabricated without silver nanoparticles

Determinants of consumer motivation to use online food delivery apps: An empirical investigation of Bangladesh

    Get PDF
This study aims to investigate the influencing elements of consumers’ behavioral intention to use online food delivery apps in Bangladesh. MS Excel and SPSS were used to calculate the relevant information. The targeted population of this study is the current users of online food delivery apps in Bangladesh. The final sample size is 368, with a response rate of 92%. The information was gathered from the respondents through a web-based survey in Google Forms. Due to the nature of the study object, the purposeful sampling method has been used and is quantitative and exploratory. The results show that five predictors affect consumers’ intention to use food delivery apps. The findings demonstrate that social influence, perceived trust, perceived safety, performance expectancy, and effort expectancy significantly affect the consumers’ usage intention of food delivery apps. The study also found that perceived trust is the strongest predictor of usage intention among five intention predictors. However, following an extensive literature review, only a few studies have been conducted in this context, so there is a deficiency in investigating key influencing factors of users’ motivation to adopt online food delivery apps in Bangladesh. Therefore, this study could be indispensable for app delivery operators, governmental and non-governmental organizations, businesses, and researchers to make policies and strategies to create intention among consumers to use online food delivery apps

Study of nonlinear thermal convection of ternary nanofluid within Darcy-Brinkman porous structure with time dependent heat source/sink

    Get PDF
The dynamical behaviour and thermal transportation feature of mixed convective Casson bi-phasic flows of water-based ternary Hybrid nanofluids with different shapes are examined numerically in a Darcy- Brinkman medium bounded by a vertical elongating slender concave-shaped surface. The mathematical framework of the present flow model is developed properly by adopting the single-phase approach, whose solid phase is selected to be metallic or metallic oxide nanoparticles. Besides, the influence of thermal radiation is taken into consideration in the presence of an internal variable heat generation. A set of feasible similarity transformations are applied for the conversion of the governing PDEs into a nonlinear differential structure of coupled ODEs. An advanced differential quadrature algorithm is employed herein to acquire accurate numerical solutions for momentum and energy equations. Results of the conducted parametric study are explained and revealed in graphs using bvp5c in MATLAB to solve the governing system. The solution with three mixture compositions is provided (Type-I and Type-II). Al2O3 (Platelet), GNT (Cylindrical), and CNTs (Spherical), Type-II mixture of copper (Cylindrical), silver (Platelet), and copper oxide (Spherical). In comparison to Type-I ternary combination Type-II ternary mixtures is lesser in terms of the temperature distribution. The skin friction coefficient is more in Type-1 compared to Type-2
