Spin-orbit induced backflow in neutron matter with auxiliary field diffusion Monte Carlo
The energy per particle of zero-temperature neutron matter is investigated,
with particular emphasis on the role of the interaction. An
analysis of the importance of explicit spin--orbit correlations in the
description of the system is carried out by the auxiliary field diffusion Monte
Carlo method. The improved nodal structure of the guiding function, constructed
by explicitly considering these correlations, lowers the energy. The proposed
spin--backflow orbitals can conveniently be used also in Green's Function Monte
Carlo calculations of light nuclei.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figur
Hubungan Pre dan Post Conference Keperawatan dengan Pelaksanaan Asuhan Keperawatan di RSUD Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi Tahun 2015
There are several methods in nursing in providing care, one of the methods of his team. The team's method is applied by using a team of nurses who work heterogeneous, consisting of nurses propesional, and additional nurses to provide nursing care to a group of patients. According to the results of interviews with nurse researcher Dr. interne space RSAM Ahmad Mochtar Bukittinggi, Pre and conferences conducted with less than maximum conference, pre and post done not in accordance with the rules of the pre and post konferensi.Hal that affect nursing care given by nurses. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of the pre and post nursing conference with the implementation of nursing care in inpatient hospital interne Dr Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi Year 2015. The study was conducted on 13 to 1 August 2015 with a descriptive correlation design. The number of samples in this study were 31 teams of nurses with a total sampling sampling techniques, the instrument uses the observation sheet. From the analysis results obtained value of p = 0.01 (p <0.05), which showed a significant relationship between the pre-conference with the implementation of nursing care with OR = 12.80. There is a relationship between pre-conference with the implementation of nursing care with 12,800.Dari opportunities analysis results obtained value of p = 0.013 (p <0.05), which showed a significant relationship between post-conference with the implementation of nursing care with OR = 20 o'clock there is a relationship between post conference with the implementation of nursing care at the hospital is expected 20,00.untuk opportunity to follow standard operating procedures in providing nursing car
Fibulin-2 is required for basement membrane integrity of mammary epithelium
Fibulin-2 (FBLN2) is a secreted extracellular matrix glycoprotein which has been associated with tissue development and remodelling. In the mouse mammary gland, FBLN2 can be detected during ductal morphogenesis in cap cells and myoepithelial cells at puberty and early pregnancy, respectively. In an attempt to assign its function, we knocked down Fbln2 in the mouse mammary epithelial cell line EpH4. FBLN2 reduction led to an increase in the size of spheroidal structures when compared to scrambled control shRNA-transduced cells plated on Matrigel matrix. This phenotype was associated with a disruption of the collagen IV sheath around the epithelial spheroids and downregulation of integrin β1, suggesting a role for FBLN2 in stabilizing the basement membrane (BM). In contrast to mice, in normal adult human breast tissue, FBLN2 was detected in ductal stroma, and in the interlobular stroma, but was not detectable within the lobular regions. In tissue sections of 65 breast cancers FBLN2 staining was lost around malignant cells with retained staining in the neighbouring histologically normal tissue margins. These results are consistent with a role of FBLN2 in mammary epithelial BM stability, and that its down-regulation in breast cancer is associated with loss of the BM and early invasion

Impact of Heat Pump Load on Distribution Networks
© The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2014. Heat pumps can provide domestic heating at a cost that is competitive with oil heating in particular. If the electricity supply contains a significant amount of renewable generation, a move from fossil fuel heating to heat pumps can reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The inherent thermal storage of heat pump installations can also provide the electricity supplier with valuable flexibility. The increase in heat pump installations in the UK and Europe in the last few years poses a challenge for low-voltage networks, because of the use of induction motors to drive the pump compressors. The induction motor load tends to depress voltage, especially on starting. The study includes experimental results, dynamic load modelling, comparison of experimental results and simulation results for various levels of heat pump deployment. The simulations are based on a generic test network designed to capture the main characteristics of UK distribution system practice. The simulations employ DIgSlILENT Power Factory to facilitate dynamic simulations that focus on starting current, voltage variations, active power, reactive power and switching transients
A Simple Photometer as a Helping Device in Measuring Blood Glucose
Measurement of non-invasive blood glucose is one way to increase the frequency of self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG). For NIR reflectance spectroscopy, its application in non-invasive constrained by high value of standard error of prediction. The mean standard error of prediction was 25 mg/dL. Theoretically, NIR reflectance spectroscopy still can be used to predict blood glucose levels in certain conditions such as hypoglycemia (<55 mg/dL), controlled fasting blood glucose (FBG) (70-115 mg/dL), and hyperglycemia (>225 mg/dL), which the difference between the three conditions is more than 25 mg/dL. The results showed that there are significant differences in standards values of photometer measurement between controlled FBG and hyperglycemic conditions (P = 0.002). The results also showed that the photometer can be used to assist the monitoring of blood glucose in FBG under control and hyperglycemic conditions. It can be seen from the average percentage of the daily controlled FBG conditions in patients conducting SMBG in photometer-assisted compared to in patients only use SMBG once a day (28% versus 18%, P = 0.344)
Protoneutron stars within the Brueckner-Bethe-Goldstone theory
We study the structure of newly born neutron stars (protoneutron stars)
within the finite temperature Brueckner-Bethe-Goldstone theoretical approach
including also hyperons. We find that for purely nucleonic stars both finite
temperature and neutrino trapping reduce the value of the maximum mass. For
hyperonic stars the effect is reversed, because neutrino trapping shifts the
appearance of hyperons to larger baryon density and stiffens considerably the
equation of state.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures, submitted to Astronomy & Astrophysic
Spin susceptibility of neutron matter at zero temperature
The Auxiliary Field Diffusion Monte Carlo method is applied to compute the
spin susceptibility and the compressibility of neutron matter at zero
temperature. Results are given for realistic interactions which include both a
two-body potential of the Argonne type and the Urbana IX three-body potential.
Simulations have been carried out for about 60 neutrons. We find an overall
reduction of the spin susceptibilty by about a factor 3 with respect to the
Pauli susceptibility for a wide range of densities. Results for the
compressibility of neutron matter are also presented and compared with other
available estimates obtained for semirealistic nucleon-nucleon interactions by
using other techniques
