Collective Coordinate Approach to the Dynamics of Various Soliton-Obstruction Systems

Various soliton-obstruction systems have been studied from analytical perspective. We have used collective coordinate to approach the dynamics of solitons as they meet a potential obstruction in a form of square barriers and holes for three models in (1+1) dimensions, namely: $\lambda\phi^{4}$ model, deformed Sine-Gordon model, and a model that give rise to Q-ball solution. We have shown that our approximated field solution is valid enough to describe the behaviour of solitons scattering off a potential obstruction.Comment: 26 pages, 18 figure

OTENTIKASI PEMAKAIAN PROGRAM APLIKASI LABORATORIUM BERDASARKAN JADWAL KULIAH

Remote jaringan adalah hal sering di lakukan seluruh dunia yang digunakan untuk mengontrol aktifitas yang dilakukan oleh komputer client salah satu progam yang digunakan untuk mem buatnya yaitu Aplikasi Program VB, di dalam bidang bisnis, dalam bidang kemasyarakatan sudah banyak diimplementasikan dan terbukti memberi manfaat untuk masyarakat. Program VB yang dapat membuat beberapa program yang kini sudah melirik potensi pada jaringan komputer. Berdasarkan perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan masyarakat akan akses layanan publik yang praktis dan efisien, lahirlah konsep membuat program VB sebagai jawaban atas tuntutan tersebut. Tujuan dari pembuatan proyek akhir ini adalah untuk mendapatkan susunan perangkat lunak (software) dari sistem yang akan dibangun, mengembangkan aplikasi Visual Basic 6.0 untuk Otentikasi pemakaian program aplikasi laboratorium berdasarkan jadwal kuliah Berbasis Program Visual Basic 6.0. Metode yang digunakan dalam membangun pemakaian program aplikasi Terjadwal Berbasis Program Visual Basic 6.0 ini menggunakan metode rancang bangun yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu: (1) Identifikasi kebutuhan, (2) Analisis kebutuhan, (3) Konsep rancangan, (4) Pembuatan dan (5) Pengujian. membangun pemakaian program aplikasi Terjadwal Berbasis Program Visual Basic 6.0 terdiri dari (1) Program VB digunakan untuk membuat program itu sendiri, (2) Program Ms. Acces digunakan untuk menyimpan data (data base) yang di pakai oleh program VB. aplikasi jaringan atau teknologi lain yang berkaitan dengan pemakaian program aplikasi Terjadwal yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akses, efisiensi, efektivitas, dan kualitas dari proses belajar mengajar

Status of Bahraini Women in the Banking and Financial Sector: Challenges and Opportunities

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status and the challenges of Bahraini women in the financial and banking sector; this sector is in continuous growth and needs to invest in human resources properly to attract talents. To enhance women’s access to senior positions in this sector, it must acknowledge the factors that influence women leadership, where the significance of this study stands out. The study presents how different factors affect the mainstreaming of women progressing to the top-level management. The study followed both quantitative and qualitative methods in data collection, and three different types of survey have been used in the study. The first questionnaire was directed towards Bahraini working women, the second questionnaire was directed towards Bahraini women who have left the sector, and these two questionnaires contained implicit references to the factors of the study. The third questionnaire was directed towards the human resource managers in the financial and banking sector. The total number of Bahraini employees in this sector is 14,675, with about 37% Bahraini women, which represents 25% of the total workforce (Bahrainis and expatriates). The results illustrated that approximately 8% of women reached the Board of Directors and 4.5% of Bahraini women among the Bahraini workforce attained the position of CEO. According to the findings of the study, the most significant factor affecting Bahraini women in the workplace was “the need for women in leadership positions”. The factor with the lowest response was “fringe benefits”. In contrast, the factor relating to “family concerns affecting women” was less significant. Recommendations were made to guide every women on workforce participation and the decision-makers to try remove all or some of the barriers that might hinder women from reaching those positions, aiming to provide women equal access opportunities to leadership positions in the this essential sectors and other sectors in the future

PERBANDINGAN KECEPATAN MAKSIMAL DAN KECEPATAN DI METER 80 – 100 PADA LARI 100 METER ANTARA SPRINTER PPLP JABAR DENGAN PPLM JABAR

Kecepatan lari para sprinter di negara maju telah dianalisis disetiap meter dengan alat sensor otomatis pada jarak 10 meter, sehingga terlihat kecepatan maksimal, dan penurunan atau peningkatan kecepatan di meter 80 – 100. Peneliti tertarik membandingkan dan menganalisis kecepatan maksimal dan kecepatan di meter 80 – 100 antara sprinter PPLP Jabar dengan PPLM Jabar mengunakan alat yang baru dikembangkan di UPI. Tujuannya mengetahui perbedaan Kecepatan maksimal dan kecepatan di meter 80 – 100 antara sprinter PPLP Jabar dengan PPLM Jabar sebagai informasi ilmiah dan bahan evaluasi bagi pelatihan khususnya di jabar umumnya di indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik komparatif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 8 orang dari sprinter PPLP Jabar 4 orang dan sprinter PPLM jabar 4 orang yang diambil menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah Tes Lari sprint 100 meter dan alat Redi Speed. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata antara sprinter PPLP Jabar dan sprinter PPLM Jabar: kecepatan maksimal (14,46±8,41 m/s) dan (18,60±15,38 m/s) dan kecepatan di 80 – 100 meter (8,50±7,66 m/s) dan (7,66 ± 0,90 m/s). Nilai dari uji perbedaan mann whitney kecepatan maksimal, nilai sig. 2-tailed adalah 0,468>0,025 dan kecepatan di meter 80 – 100 meter, nilai sig. 2-tailed adalah 0,386>0,025 maka, tidak berbeda signifikan antara keduanya. In the developed countries, the sprinting speed per meter has been already measured by an automatic sensor over 10 meter distance. This automatic sensor can identify the maximum speed along with the decrease and increase of speed over 80 – 100 meter distance. Therefore, the researcher is interested in investigating the difference of speed—the maximum speed and the speed in 80 – 100 meter between the sprinter of PPLP Jabar and PPLM Jabar using a tool developed by UPI. The aims of the research is to reveal the difference of both maximum speed and and speed in 80 – 100 meter between the sprinter of PPLP and PPLM Jabar which can be very beneficial for scientific information and enriching material for training, generally in Indonesia and especially in West Java. Descriptive qualitative with comparative technique is used as the methodology of this research. There are 8 participants 4 from PPLP Jabar and 4 from PPLM Jabar as the sample of the research that is gathered by applying purposive sampling method. In addition, this research uses instruments such as, 100 meter sprint running test and a Redi Speed tool. As a result, the average score among the sprinters of PPLP and PPLM Jabar are: the maximum speed are (14.46±8.41 m/s) and (18.60±15.38 m/s), while the speed in 80 – 100 meter are (8.50±7.66 m/s) and (7.66 ± 0.90 m/s). The score of the maximum speed of mann whitney test, 2-tailed sig. score, is 0.468>0.025 and the score of the speed in 80 – 100 meter, 2-tailed sig. score, is 0.386>0.025. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference of speed, both the maximum speed and the speed in 80 – 100 meter between sprinter of PPLP and PPLM Jabar

Pengaruh Pemberian Jenis Pakan Yang Berbeda Terhadap Mutu Gonad Calon Induk Ikan Ingir-ingir (Mystus Nigriceps)

The research was conducted from January to March 2016 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau Pekanbaru. The aim of this research was to evaluate suitable feed for the maturation of the gonad of bagrid catfish (Mystus nigriceps) reared with different feeding treatment (Commercial feed; cookle meat; soilworm(annelid) and chopped fresh fish. The research method used was Completely Randomized Design (CDR) with four treatments and three replications. The result showed that chopped fresh fish (Poecilia reticulata) and commercial dry food were the best food for maturating the fish gonad of bagrid catfish (Mystus nigriceps). Total fish reached matured stage IV was 16 fish (88,89%), gonad somatic index 9,06 %, relative fecundity 835 eggs/g fish, egg diameter 0,85 mm. The temperature range from 28 – 310C, pH 5 – 6, DO 5,7 – 6,8 ppm

Soliton-potential interaction in the nonlinear Klein-Gordon model

The interaction of solitons with external potentials in nonlinear Klein-Gordon field theory is investigated using an improved model. The presented model has been constructed with a better approximation for adding the potential to the Lagrangian through the metric of background space-time.
