Resistive communications based on neuristors
Memristors are passive elements that allow us to store information using a
single element per bit. However, this is not the only utility of the memristor.
Considering the physical chemical structure of the element used, the memristor
can function at the same time as memory and as a communication unit. This paper
presents a new approach to the use of the memristor and develops the concept of
resistive communication

Permission from IEEE must be obtained for all other uses, in any current or future media, including reprinting/republishing this material for advertising or promotional purposes, creating new collective works, for resale or redistribution to servers or lists, or reuse of any copyrighted component of this work in other worksToday competition has increased between organizations and they are urged to improve constantly their performance throughout innovation if they want to survive and be profitable. However, an organization can't be innovative if it doesn't counts with creative people and build teams to strength its creative and innovative capabilities. Besides, the impact of technology in innovation has been widely studied but there are others major aspects that need more exploration to understand their influence in it. For example, collaborative work, multicultural teamwork, creative teamwork, entrepreneurial behavior, etc. Some authors suggest more research is needed regarding organization capabilities that promote effective relationships for innovation. According to West (2002), three issues dominated research about creativity and innovation among teams: the characteristics of group tasks and their impact in the creative-innovative process; the role of diversity in knowledge and skills between team members; and team integration. If these issues are relevant for team creativity and innovation, then frameworks and tools to configure teams are necessary. It may be taken by granted that there must be an equilibrium of roles within teams to foster creativity focused on innovation. So, in this paper several approaches of creativity are reviewed. Then a conceptual model to foster Team Equilibrium and strength innovation performance is proposed and applied through a web-based tool. A first empiric exploration is presented. The proposed model can be used as a basis to develop tools that helps teams for self-analysis.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
Health consensus: a digital adapted Delphi for healthcare
New tools are needed to facilitate the involvement of health professionals in healthcare participative processes, partially because a relevant segment of healthcare knowledge and decision-making is capillary distributed among them. A collaborative design strategy has been applied to the creation of an Internet tool to produce digitally adapted Delphi for healthcare purposes. During the period 2012-16 the prototype of the tool has been gradually improved through its application to 18 real cases. It is proposed the model Health Consensus as a digitally adapted Delphi supported by the various capabilities of Internet. The authors agree that Health Consensus is a useful and expandable tool for participative processes. The Internet provides several opportunities to overcome many of the limitations of conventional Delphi, as well as improving the final studies with new functionalities.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Swimming performance of Bradyrhizobium diazoefficiens is an emergent property of its two flagellar systems
Many bacterial species use flagella for self-propulsion in aqueous media. In the soil, which is a complex and structured environment, water is found in microscopic channels where viscosity and water potential depend on the composition of the soil solution and the degree of soil water saturation. Therefore, the motility of soil bacteria might have special requirements. An important soil bacterial genus is Bradyrhizobium, with species that possess one flagellar system and others with two different flagellar systems. Among the latter is B. diazoefficiens, which may express its subpolar and lateral flagella simultaneously in liquid medium, although its swimming behaviour was not described yet. These two flagellar systems were observed here as functionally integrated in a swimming performance that emerged as an epistatic interaction between those appendages. In addition, each flagellum seemed engaged in a particular task that might be required for swimming oriented toward chemoattractants near the soil inner surfaces at viscosities that may occur after the loss of soil gravitational water. Because the possession of two flagellar systems is not general in Bradyrhizobium or in related genera that coexist in the same environment, there may be an adaptive tradeoff between energetic costs and ecological benefits among these different species.Fil: Quelas, Juan Ignacio.
Postprint (published version
Relation of Offensive Performance during Exclusions and Final Ranking in Female Handball
The aim of this study was to determine team offensive performance indicators during
exclusions related to the final ranking obtained in the tournament. Twenty-nine matches from
the 2017 Pan-American Female Championship played by 10 national teams were analyzed using
observational methodology. Cramer’s V and Fisher’s exact test were applied to identify associations
between the variables. The Chaid algorithm was used to identify performance variables during
inequality situations associated with the final ranking. Results showed that teams ranked 1st to 3rd
presented a statistically significant relationship (p < 0.001; ASR 5.2) of being in superiority, scoring
on 56.8% of their finalizations, while teams ranked 7th to 10 th showed a tendency of ending their
attacks in turnovers under inequality situations (p < 0.00; ASR 3.1). Playing with an empty net
during inferiority situations was a predictor of winners belonging to the medalist teams in 76.2%
of the analyzed situations. It can be concluded that during numerical superiority, the best-ranked
teams better handled their possessions. The substitution of the goalkeeper for a court player during
inferiority was a predictor of belonging to the medalist group. Playing with the goalkeeper in goal
(playing 5 against 6) when the match status was balanced or unbalanced, was a predictor of losing
teams that did not end up in the medalist groups
A multidisciplinary approach to sexual behavior profiles: The SEX360 model
The diversity of sexual behaviors is driven by multiple determinants, including physiological, cultural, educational, and sociological factors. However, the definition of sexual behavior profiles has been barely addressed from a comprehensive point of view. We aimed to develop a multidisciplinary questionnaire for defining individual sexual behavior profiles. The questionnaire was developed by a panel of experts with research experience in the fields of urology, gynecology, psychology, anthropology, and sexology. The list of items was defined in a focus group session and was based on four categories—family-oriented, loving, recreational, and functional—resulting from the combination of two axes: traditional versus non-traditional and sexual benefit versus extra-sexual benefit. Real-time Delphi dynamics was used to assign a weight to each question and a bias to the corresponding responses. The final questionnaire included 50 items considered relevant for describing sexual profiles; the final questionnaire was named SEX360. Of the 50 items included in SEX360, 14 were considered essential for computing the final score; 9 of them were associated with 2 categories, 4 of them with 4 categories, and 1 of them with 3. Nine items referred to the category “family-oriented”, 10 to “loving”, 8 to “recreational”, and 9 to “functional”. The weights assigned to each question ranged from 3.00 to 4.33, and the centers of gravity ranged from 1 to 4. The questionnaire proposed shows the existence of a vast diversity of sexual behavior profiles and may serve as a tool for sexual behavior research.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
