Este artigo é parte resultante da pesquisa de mestrado intitulada "O Rio de Janeiro de Arthur Azevedo", realizada entre março de 2009 e julho de 2011 no Programa de Pós-graduação da CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior).Neste artigo se apresentam reflexões acerca das transformações urbanas e sócio-culturais ocorridas na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, então capital da república, tendo por objeto as peças A Capital Federal e Guanabarina, escritas por Arthur Azevedo. Nas últimas décadas do século XIX a cidade foi tomada por uma onda modernizadora que abarcava, além dos espaços públicos, a sociabilidade e as expressões culturais da população. As analises aqui apresentadas derivam da pesquisa de mestrado intitulada "O Rio de Janeiro de Arthur Azevedo. Uma leitura do espaço urbano nas peças A Capital Federal e Guanabarina (1897-1906)", desenvolvida sob orientação do professor Jaime de Almeida (PPGHIS-UnB/ Brasil) e financiada pela CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior.This article introduces reflections on the urban and socio-cultural changes happened in the city of Rio de Janeiro, capital of the Brazilian First Republic. The research objects and sources were the plays A Capital Federal and Guanabarina, written by Arthur Azevedo. In the last decades of the 19th century the city was taken by a modernizing wave that included not only the public spaces, but also the population's sociability and cultural expressions. The analyses introduced here are derived from the master's research entitled "The Arthur Azevedo's Rio de Janeiro. A reading of the urban space in A Capital Federal and Guanabarina (1897-1906)", carried out under the supervision of professor Jaime de Almeida (PPGHIS-UnB/ Brazil) and funded by CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior.Este artículo propone unas reflexiones acerca de los cambios socioculturales ocurridos en la ciudad de Río de Janeiro, la capital de la Primera República brasileña, a través del estudio de las obras A Capital Federal y Guanabarina de Arthur Azevedo. En las últimas décadas del siglo XIX, la ciudad fue tomada por una ola modernizadora que incluía no solamente los espacios públicos, sino también la capacidad de socializar de las personas y las expresiones culturales. STUDI PERBANDINGAN KINERJA METODE LZW(LEMPEL-ZIV-WELCH) DAN METODE HUFFMAN UNTUK KOMPRESI DATA VIDEO DAN AUDIO PADA APLIKASI KOMPRESI DATA

Teknologi telah memberikan peranan yang penting bagi kehidupan masyarakat yaitu kegiatan pertukaran informasi. Kendala yang selama ini dihadapi dalam pengiriman maupun penyimpanan data adalah terlalu besarnya kapasitas data sehingga dalam proses pengiriman data menjadi lebih lama dan membutuhkan storage yang besar pula untuk penyimpanannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membandingkan penggunaan aplikasi kompresi menggunakan algoritma LZW(Lempel Ziv Welch) dan algoritma Huffman. Pemrograman yang digunakan adalah Visual Basic 2008. Indikator perbandingan kompresi ini adalah waktu (kecepatan) kompresi, ukuran file hasil kompresi dan persentase pemampatan file setelah dilakukan kompresi data. Dari perbandingan yang telah kami lakukan didapat hasil bahwa rata-rata dari persentase pemampatan file audio adalah 98,6% (LZW) dan 99% (Huffman). Sedangkan rata-rata dari persentase pemampatan file video adalah 98,3% (LZW) dan 99,46% (Huffman). Sedangklan untuk rata-rata waktu untuk kompresi file audio adalah 3,702 detik (LZW) dan 71,26 detik (Huffman). Sedangkan ratarata waktu untuk kompresi file video adalah 2,042 detik (LZW) dan 34,901 detik (Huffman). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode LZW lebih efektif digunakan dalam pengkompresian audio dan video dibandingkan dengan metode Huffman. Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam pengiriman maupun penyimpanan data

Antibacterial Activity of Red Betel (Piper Crocatum) Leaf Methanolic Extracts Aginst Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus

Red betel (Piper crocatum) is one of traditional medicine that has antibacterial activity. This research was conducted to determine the antibacterial activity of the methanol extract of red betle leaves against growth of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 5 treatment groups consist of red betle leaves extract with concentration 150 mg/mL, 300 mg/mL, 450 mg/mL, 600 mg/mL, and negative control (sterile water) with 4 times repetition. The methanol extract of red betle leaves was obtained by maceration technique using methanol 96% as solvent. Antibacterial activity test conducted with Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method. Data of this research were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Duncan Test. The results showed that red betel leaf extracts in concentration 150 mg/mL, 300 mg/mL, 450 mg/mL, 600 mg/mL provide average inhibition zone respectively 9,0 mm, 11,2 mm, 13,6 mm and 15,7 mm. The result showed that red betel leaf extracts in tested concentration showed antibacterial activity against MRSA. The higher concentration of extract, the greater inhibition area was formed

Making a nest. Art and ecology as formative and trasformative practices in adult education.

The radical experience of isolation and vulnerability during the pandemic has aroused a reflection on the forms of living environments and social ties, on the need to rethink the relational and pedagogical styles on which they are based (Pignalberi 2022). The accentuation of disparities in access to education and culture has shown how, in truth, the training system has been in a stagnant situation of difficulty for decades. The pandemic crisis has been considered by some pedagogists (Fullan 2020) not so much as a destructive event of a functioning model but as the possibility of participating in the transformation of learning. In 2021-2022 the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Verona promoted a training course "Practices and cultures of difference in educational and care work" which was attended by 35 professionals in social-health and educational services. The training course focused on the fact that the established practices of social work often fail, exposing professionals to the unexpected, to the crisis, to the need to create. This impact was even more evident during the pandemic which made the social ties of many Italian cities increasingly fragile. It was therefore necessary to propose training contexts that could meet the experiences of vulnerability, the need to nourish trust in community ties and hope. The course aimed to address the theme of differences by deepening theories and practices of feminist philosophy (Zamboni 2009, bell hooks 1994) and transformative pedagogy (Formenti 2017, Mortari 2003) which have elaborated a florid reflection on the themes of care and relationship: an embodied knowledge that puts to work the senses, the resonances, the materiality of relationships to rethink the encounter with the Other in daily life. The path proposed to move away from 'expertism' (Illich 2008) to rethink the care of oneself, of places and of others, as a common good, thanks to: • a formative ecology vision that questions the link between learning and the environment, between daily work and community life; (Iori 2019, Corntassel, J., & Hardbarger, T. 2019, Pignalberi 2022) • art-based methodologies as levers for processes of continuous transformative training and as a means for an ecological and ecosophic transition under the banner of social justice (Formenti Lusaschi, Del Negro 2019, Sossai 2017, Segal-Engelchin D., Huss E., Massry N. 2020). The third module of the above-mentioned training course was titled "Know how: community art practices" and was held at the Mare Memoria Viva Ecomuseum in Palermo (Sicily, Italy). It was a pedagogical choice that aimed to open up the narrow imaginaries of social work to a community horizon. The artistic workshop of intensive two weeks was also granted access to 35 professionals and all those who, by attending the Ecomuseum as operators or beneficiaries, would have voluntarily contributed to the creation of a new space for cultural fruition, participating in building an Ecodom structure in Superadobe in the shape of nest

Analisis Kedalaman Materi Fisika dalam E-Book Edupark Fisika Sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka

E-book berbasis edupark fisika SMA terintegrasi Destinasi Air Terjun  baru dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan air terjun sebagai edupark atau taman pendidikan. E-book yang dikembangkan masih menggunakan kurikulum 2013 sedangkan sekarang sudah menggunakan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kedalaman materi fisika dalam E-book edupark fisika Air Terjun sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh E-book Edupark Fisika dan Buku Fisika SMA/MA Kurikulum Merdeka. Sampel penelitian ini adalah E-book Edupark Fisika Air Terjun Sarasah Kajai dan Buku Fisika SMA/MA XI Kurikulum Merdeka terbitan Erlangga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kedalaman materi dalam e-book edupark fisika air terjun sarasah kajai adalah 75,48% dengan kategori dalam. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-book Edupark Fisika Air Terjun Sarasah Kajai sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka

The Depiction of Australian Gothic Analysis Found in Marcus Clarke's Male and Female Characters in the Novel For The Terms of His Natural Life.

This thesis analyzes Marcus Clarke's novel "For the Terms of His Natural Life" and its depiction of male and female characters in the Australian Gothic tradition. Through examining language, imagery, and characterization, this thesis argues that Clarke effectively captures the dark and unsettling nuances of the genre, highlighting the harsh realities of life in the Australian penal colony. Furthermore, this thesis explores the contrasting depictions of male and female characters, arguing that male characters are depicted as brutal and violent, reflecting the harshness of the surrounding environment and the brutal nature of the colonial system. In contrast, female characters are often depicted as victims. , their suffering became a symbol of the oppression and cruelty of the colonial system. Overall, this thesis argues that "For the Terms of His Natural Life" is a powerful and thought-provoking work that explores the darker aspects of human nature and the Australian colonial experience, making it a significant contribution to the Australian Gothic literary tradition. Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Untuk Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Logis Matematis Peserta Didik Berbasis Problem Based Learning

Chemistry is a subject that is closely related to learning that requires students to be active in problem solving. Because of this, a worksheet development is needed to support chemistry learning activities. This study aims to develop a Student Based Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) hydrolysis material to improve mathematical logical intelligence. The quality of LKPD is measured by the criteria of validity, effectiveness, and practicality in the learning process. The development model used in this study is a 3D model (define, design and develop). Data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative tests. The product development validation was carried out by the validator of media experts and material experts, while the trial was conducted by 36 students of class XI IPA 5. The results of the validator analysis stated that the quality of learning material was included in the excellent category with a percentage of 93.77% of the material experts and 94.46% of media experts. The effectiveness of LKPD indicated an increase in mathematical logical intelligence of students with the achievement of N-gain of 0.56 in the medium category and classical completeness of 86.11%. Student responses to the practicality of using LKPD showed results of 77.78% which included in the very good category and 22.22% included in the good category. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that LKPD fulfills valid, effective, and practical criteria to improve mathematical logical intelligence.Mata pelajaran kimia merupakan mata pelajaran yang erat kaitannya dengan pembelajaran yang menuntut peserta didik untuk aktif dalam pemecahan masalah. Adanya hal tersebut, diperlukan suatu pengembangan lembar kerja untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) materi hidrolisis untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan logis matematis. Kualitas LKPD diukur dengan kriteria kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan dalam proses pembelajaran. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model 3D (define, design and develop). Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Validasi produk pengembangan dilakukan oleh validator ahli media dan ahli materi, sedangkan uji coba  dilakukan oleh 36 orang peserta didik kelas XI IPA 5. Hasil analisis validator menyatakan bahwa kualitas materi pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 93,77% dari ahli materi dan 94,46% dari ahli media. Keefektifan LKPD ditunjukkan adanya peningkatan kecerdasan logis matematis peserta didik dengan pencapaian N-gain sebesar 0,56 pada kategori sedang dan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 86,11%. Respon peserta didik terhadap kepraktisan penggunaan LKPD menunjukkan hasil 77,78% yang termasuk kategori sangat baik dan 22,22% termasuk kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD memenuhi kriteria valid, efektif, dan praktis dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan logis matematis

Pengaruh Content Marketing, Information Adoption Dan Online Review Tiktok Terhadap Niat Pembelian Konsumen Produk Fashion

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh content marketing, information adoption dan online review user Tiktok terhadap purchase intention produk fashion di e-marketplace. Metode yang digunakan bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dibagikan kepada responden 216 pelanggan produk fashion di Shopee marketplace. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel content marketing menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap niat beli konsumen. Namun penelitian ini secara bersamaan mendapati information adoption dan online review user Tiktok mempengaruhi niat beli produk fashion di e-marketplace.
