Moreover the work affiliation, compensation and work development tend to be low. This caused a low work satisfaction and high turnover intention. Through the application of the double linear regression statistic test, job design has significant impact on job satisfaction (Sig. 0,013, regression coefficient 2,037). The work affiliation and leadership have significant influence to turnover intention (Sig. 0,003, regression coefficient 0,906) as well as leadership (sig. 0,009, regression B= 0,895). This study concluded that job design and leadership had significant impact on job satisfaction and turnover intention. Meanwhile work affiliation did not impact both of them. Keywords: individual, job satisfaction, organizational, turnover intentio

Yeni bir TSH reseptör aktive edici mutasyon ile ilişkili ailevi hipertiroidi: Beş vaka takdimi
Familial non-autoimmune hyperthyroidism, a rare disorder that results from activating germline mutations in the TSH receptor gene, is inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion and has a variable age at onset. Here, we present a family, five members of which were determined to have non-autoimmune hyperthyroidism. Levels of free T3 and free T4 were high and TSH suppressed in two siblings aged 12 and 16, who were admitted due to failure to gain weight and swollen necks. Thyroid autoantibodies were negative and thyroid ultrasonography demonstrated no nodules. A similar situation was detected in their father and two other siblings, none of whom had remarkable complaints. A novel heterozygous missense mutation (c.1906T>A) in the 10th exon of the TSH receptor gene was found in the affected cases. Treatment with methimazole and propranolol was initiated in all cases. During follow-up, one case underwent total thyroidectomy, and radioactive iodine treatment was administered to another. Gain-of-function germline mutations in the TSH receptor should be considered in cases of hyperthyroidism not associated with autoimmune thyroid disease, and family screening, including asymptomatic individuals, should be done
Needs Analysis of Blind Students in Teaching Practice Program
As an inclusive university, Brawijaya University has accepted students with special needs in some differentstudy programs. Two of those are blind / visually impaired students who enrol English Language EducationStudy Program in which the program prepares the students to be English teachers. As a consequence, thestudents must be ready to do teaching practice in a public school when they are in the seventh semester. Thisstudy is going to find out the problems of the visually impaired students in conducting teaching practice in theschool. It also elaborates the teaching media and method that they need to support them to do teachingpractice. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. To get the data, the researchers interviewthe visual impairments, the two volunteers who become their peer assistant them during learning process inthe university, and the lecturer who becomes the advisor of the visually impaired students. Besides, observation is also important to know the application of teaching practice in their real class. The observationis done by recording the teaching activity conducted by the visually impaired students. The results of theinterview and the observation are used to formulate the needs of the visually impaired students in teachingprocess in the real school. This study gives benefit not only for the students in preparing their teachingpractice, but also for the institution to accommodate the needs of the visually impaired students for theirteaching process
Product lifecycle and choice of transportation modes: Japan’s evidence of import and export
Here we test the hypothesis that commodities at their peak valuation are transported by air and those at their birth and maturity are shipped by sea, and that shippers would choose air for transporting high-valued commodities. We empirically investigated how the product lifecycle of commodities is reflected by shippers' choices of air transportation rather than seaborne transportation. We also assumed that the commodities that achieved substantial innovation in their lifecycles would be moved by air transportation so that these commodities could reach the targeted markets as quickly as possible to avoid the opportunity costs that might be generated by missed business chances. We constructed two unbalanced panel data of 18 commodities (the case of import) and 14 commodities (the case of export) for 24 years from Japan’s custom, demographic, and international statistics. By estimating structural equation systems that consisted of commodity-specific import/export and import/export air ratio functions, we found that the product lifecycle of cargo outgoing from Japan exactly matched the upward and downward move of the air ratio, whereas since incoming commodities are raw materials that have little to do with product lifecycle or matured phase in their lifecycle stage, the peak of commodities’ valuations and the use of air transportation were not necessarily synchronized
How will ‘independent learning’ paradigm in Indonesia’s highereducation benefit students with disabilities?
[Extract] The Indonesian government introduced Merdeka Belajar (independent learning) last year. It’s a new paradigm in which educational institutions deliver their services in ways that promote autonomous learning.
It is geared towards equipping students with life skills that will enable them and the country to compete globally.
Under this program, students can now pursue different pathways to acquiring knowledge and skills. These pathways include off-campus experience with educational and non-educational institutions and industry.
There is an emerging focus in the government on enabling students with a disability in their educational journey. It is timely to reflect on how educational institutions and their industry partners can ensure this program benefits students with disabilities
Optimising pain management in children with acute otitis media through a primary care-based multifaceted educational intervention: study protocol for a cluster randomised controlled trial.
Whilst current guidelines highlight the importance of pain management for children with acute otitis media (AOM), there is evidence to suggest that this is not implemented in everyday practice. We have developed a primary care-based multifaceted educational intervention to optimise pain management in children with AOM, and we trial its clinical and cost effectiveness
