Dental Considerations in Pregnancy – A Systematic Review

Background: Good oral health during pregnancy can not only improve the health of the pregnant mother, but also potentially the health of her child. There is inconclusive and contrasting nature of evidence regarding the effect of pregnancy on oral health. So the purpose of this study was to systematically review the dental considerations during Pregnancy for further investigation. Methods: For the identification of the studies included in this review, we devised the search strategy for each database. The search strategy used a union of controlled vocabulary and free text terms. The main electronic database used to access the studies were PubMed, PubMed Central, Cochrane Review, Embase and Google Scholar. Results: A total of 28 articles fulfilled the criteria and were selected for the review. Some prenatal oral health conditions have adverse effects on the child. Periodontitis is associated with preterm birth, low birth weight infants and high level of cariogenic bacteria in pregnant mother can lead to increased risk of dental caries in the infant. Oral lesions such as gingivitis and pregnancy tumours are benign in nature and require only reassurance and monitoring. Conclusion: It has been suggested that some oral conditions may have adverse consequences on their children awareness related to oral health during pregnancy. Oral health care services should be routinely integrated with prenatal care services for all the pregnant women and specific preventive oral health care program should be made an integral part of antenatal care.</jats:p

Oral health status among visually and hearing impaired individuals- A systematic review

To review and study the oral health status among visually and hearing-impaired individuals. A literature was performed in main databases like- Pub Med Central, Cochrane Library, Embase and Google Scholar from year 2001 to 2020. This systematic review study was done according to PRISMA guideline. It was found that disabled individuals had poor oral health status as compared to the non-disabled individuals. Blind children experienced more caries than hearing-impaired children in permanent, whereas it was opposite in primary dentition. Braille language and text instructions can be very useful for visually impaired individuals irrespective of the degree of blindness and can help them to maintain oral hygiene. Hearing impaired individuals are taught with actions and visualisations. As a public health personnel, the fact, it is extremely difficult to change people's attitudes rapidly. The sighted must know how to deal with the blind individuals and learn to overcome their own ambiguity, or their undesirable attitudes may be implemented and talk of social acceptance should not be felt in mind.</jats:p

Correction in Active Cases Data of COVID-19 for the US States by Analytical Study

AbstractThe total coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection have reached 139 million worldwide and nearing 3 million deaths on April 16, 2021. The availability of accurate data is crucial as it makes it possible to analyze correctly the infection trends and make better forecasts. The reported recovered cases for many US states are surprisingly low. This could be due to difficulties in keeping track of recoveries, which resulted in higher numbers for the reported active cases than the actual numbers on the ground. In this work, based on the typical range of recovery rate for COVID-19, we estimate the active data from the total cases and death cases and bring out a correction for the data for all the US states reported on Worldometer.</jats:p

Modular on-Road Self-Guided Automatic Vehicle and Concept of Self-Power Transmission

No full text
A self-guided automated robot is basically a robot designed to follow a line or path which is already pre-determined by the user. The main focus of this report is to design a selfguided automated path following robot which is more reliable by eliminating the demerits of the traditionally used robots by the idea of making it a magnetic field line following robot. This paper presents the principle of a magnetic field line following robot and also explains its design and working. Here, the design of a self-guided automated magnetic field line following robot using LC tank circuits and resonant coupling for navigation purposes is explained. Also this paper gives the idea of a path that can be made invisible and can be buried under the ground and also focuses on the various electrical circuitries involved in this self-guided automated magnetic field line following the robot. This paper discusses all the components that are used in this self-guided automated vehicle. The applications and the advantages of this self-guided automated magnetic field line following robot over the traditional path following robots are discussed along with the future upgradations that can be done to refine it further.</jats:p
