Renewable energies have been taking an important role in the disperse generation in the last years. A new renewable energy is the wave power, that transports energy by ocean surface waves, and capture that energy to do useful work. In this project is studied, discussed and designed the electrical parts needed to transform the wave power into electrical power as the control of the buoy (reactive and latching control), system (electrical or hydraulic), generators (linear or rotating),converter systems (depending on generator, speed control and grid), grid connections and transmissions systems, cables and transformers. The material produced in this report is definitely the beginning of new knowledge which can be deeply developed. From these studies some conclusions can be done as electrical systems offer excellent prospects for superior performance and other benefits compared with hydraulic systems, and the development of electrical system prototypes is justified. Phase control avoids the drawback of high power peaks keeping the advantage of increased power extraction. The rotating generation is preferred against a linear electric power generation in terms of efficiency and cost. In a plant, the wave energy converters (base units) can be connected in larger arrays ranging from tenths up to thousands of individual converters. The connections of these converters to the grid can be implemented in various ways (converters and transformer offshore or onshore and connections cables schemes) depending on the size of the farm and the proximity to the grid among other criteria as availability or cost. Taking into account cable losses and complexity the better option is place these devices onshore for small farms close to the grid and offshore for medium to large farms. Comparing connection schemes in terms of cable cost, both material and installation, and availability, systems with clusters and subclusters (small amount of base units) and one cable to the shore are the better options.Ingeniería Industria

El mercado de trabajo es el pilar fundamental de cualquier economía y requiere un estudio exhaustivo para indagar en cualquier shock económico. Nos centraremos en los impactos de estos shocks y en los desequilibrios cíclicos producidos en las economías. Trataremos de comprender las teorías que históricamente han intentado explicar el comportamiento de los mercados de trabajo y el punto o situación que equilibra los diferentes tipos de mercados. La teoría del ciclo económico trata de explicar cómo un hecho puntual puede generar repercusiones oscilantes a lo largo del tiempo. Estudiaremos con profundidad las alteraciones y distorsiones cíclicas que producen las imperfecciones en el mercado de trabajo. Explicaremos el desarrollo económico en las fases de crecimiento y recesión, los patrones que sigue el mercado laboral, y los impactos producidos en estos ciclos económicos.The labor market is the mainly base of every economy and it requires an exhaustively research to look into any economic shock. We will attempt to understand the theories that historically tried to explain the behavior of the labor markets and the point or situation that equals the different kinds of markets. The theory of the economic cycle tries to explain how an incident can generate fluctuations along the time. We will examine deeply the changes and cyclic distortions produced by the imperfections of the labor market. Study on the effectiveness of a bilingual teaching program: The learning of double negatives by L1 Spanish-L2 English students

La adquisición de segundas lenguas, siendo el inglés el ejemplo más extendido de este fenómeno, se ha convertido en algo esencial para que una persona pueda participar en la sociedad actual. Numerosos estudios han demostrado que los programas bilingües son realmente beneficiosos para el desarrollo personal, educativo y socia de aquellos estudiantes que de ellos forman parte. Conocer la efectividad real de uno de estos programas fue el principal motivo por el cual nos decidimos a escoger dos grupos de estudiantes que siguen un programa bilingüe y uno tradicional de aprendizaje de inglés como segunda lengua respectivamente y llevar a cabo este estudio. Proposed new interior design of Perpustakaan Cawangan Kajang for Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor at 2, Jalan Metro Avenue 2, 43000 Kajang, Selangor Darul Ehsan / Nur Arija Abdullah

The final project for the final year students in Interior Architecture is based on all knowledge gained from all the past semesters. All the knowledge will be put to the testing proposing a final project based on real life factors such as the project itself, the client, the site, and the budget. The project chosen must have its own general and design issue related for it to be a visible project. This report is about proposing a new design scheme of Perpustakaan Cawangan Kajang for Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS) at 2, Jalan Metro Avenue, Metro Avenue, 43000 Kajang, Selangor. At the moment, Perpustakaan Cawangan Kajang is situated at second floor of Bangunan Dato’ Nazir which is the main attraction the Kajang town because Haji Sahmuri’s Satay Restaurant is located right under the library. Unfortunately, disabled cannot access the library as it is situated on the second floor and there is no elevator or any facilities that can bring them to enter the library. There is also a statement made by the library administration and Majlis Pertandaran Kajang (MPKj) to move the library to a new building or shop lot which issued in local newspaper, Sinar Harian dated 29th April 2009. Until now, the library does not change places as PPAS headquarter itself is planning to move and they are running out of budget to make any other library’s improvement for the time being. The concept that was chosen for this project is ‘Flipping through pages’ which means revealing the content in the roughly stage. The image that will be applied in the design is contemporary and a slight of ‘green-design’ on its architecture to meet the current green-building requirement

POTENSI PENERAPAN PRODUKSI BERSIH PADA PEMBUATAN MANISAN CARICA (Carica pubescens)

Di kabupaten Wonosobo banyak industri kecil dan menengah yang mengolah buah carica menjadi manisan carica salah satunya yaitu CV. YuasaFood Berkah Makmur. Dalam proses pembuatan manisan carica menggunakan teknologi yang sederhana, sehingga cenderung terjadi bentuk inefisiensi dalam penggunaan bahan, energi dan air. Hal ini akan meningkatkan timbulan limbah pada proses produksi, sehingga dapat menyebabkan kerugian secara ekonomi dan lingkungan. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dengan cara menerapkan alternatif produksi bersih. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi timbulan limbah pada proses produksi, alternatif peluang penerapan produksi bersih dan menganalisis keuntungan ekonomi dan lingkungan terhadap alternatif peluang produksi bersih pada proses pembuatan manisan carica. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemakaian buah carica sebanyak 18 ton/bulan. Pemakaian air sebanyak 185.257 liter/bulan. Pemakaian listrik untuk alat produksi 707,304 kWh/bulan. Terjadi inefisiensi pada proses pengemasan dan penyaringan hasil rebusan sekitar 8 liter/ hari, pada proses pencucian 3.675,6 liter/hari, pada penggunaan listrik 2,4 kWh/hari dan penggunaan gas LPG 275,85 MJ/hari. Peluang penerapan produksi bersih memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan lingkungan yaitu penggunaan wadah penampung pada proses pengemasan dan penyaringan hasil rebusan sirup penghematan Rp.1.200.000/bulan serta mengurangi limbah cair 0,93% sebesar 240 liter/bulan. Penggunaan kembali air bekas cucian dapat menghemat Rp.380.424/bulan serta mengurangi limbah cair 59,52% sebesar 110.268 liter/bulan. Pemanfaatan kulit sebagai kompos diperoleh keuntungan Rp.2.220.000/bulan serta mengurangi limbah padat. Segera mematikan energi (listrik, LPG) jika sedang tidak dipakai dapat menghemat listrik 10,18% sebesar 72 kWh atau Rp.97.580/ bulan dan gas LPG 11,76% sebesar 8.275,5 MJ atau Rp. 1.946.000/ bulan. Alternatif langkah perbaikan penerapan produksi bersih berdasarkan skala prioritas analisis kelayakan secara teknis, ekonomi dan lingkungan yaitu Penggunaan kembali air bekas pencucian, pemisahan antara limbah padat dan limbah cair, segera mematikan energi (listrik, LPG) jika sedang tidak dipakai, penggunaan wadah penampung pada proses penyaringan hasil rebusan sirup, penggunaan wadah penampung saat pengisian sirup pada proses pengemasan, penerapan standar operasional produksi penggunaan alat dan bahan, penerapan good house keeping, pemanfaatan kulit buah carica untuk pembuatan pupuk kompos. Dengan menerapkan produksi bersih maka akan meningkatkan keuntungan secara ekonomi maupun lingkungan. This will increase the generation of waste in the production process, which can cause economic losses and environmental. One effort to improve efficiency by implementing cleaner production alternatives. This study aims to identify the generation of waste in the production process, alternative opportunities of applying cleaner production and analyze the economic and environmental benefits of the alternative cleaner production opportunities in the process of making candied carica. The results showed carica fruit consumption as much as 18 tons / month. The use of water as much as 185.257 liters /month. Electricity consumption for production equipment 707,304 kWh /month. Inefficiency in the process of packaging and filtering decoction of about 8 liters /day, the washing process 3675,6 liters /day, the electricity use of 2,4 kWh /day and the use of LPG 275,85 MJ /day. Opportunities of applying cleaner production provides economic and environmental benefits that the use of container vessel in the packaging process and filtering the boiled syrup IDR.1.200.000 savings /month and reduce liquid waste 0,93% at 240 liters /month. Reuse of water used washing can save IDR.380.424 /month and reduce wastewater 59,52% amounting to 110.268 liters /month. Utilization of the skin as compost obtained profits IDR.2.220.000 /month and reduce solid waste. Immediately turn off the energy (electricity, LPG) when not in use can save electricity of 10,18% amounting to 72 kWh or IDR.97.580 /month and LPG gas of 11,76% amounting to 8275,5 MJ or IDR. 1.946.000 /month. ANALISIS KONDISI SAMBUNGAN RUMAH TANGGA DENGAN KEBERADAAN BAKTERI Escherichia coli PADA AIR BERSIH YANG DIGUNAKAN UNTUK MINUM DI KELURAHAN BANDARHARJO, SEMARANG UTARA

Kebutuhan air bersih yang digunakan untuk minum semakin meningkat dan menyebabkan semakin banyak penduduk Kelurahan Bandarharjo yang menggunakan air sumur artesis sebagai sarana penyediaan air bersih yang digunakan untuk minum yaitu sejumlah 1.225 sambungan rumah tangga. Namun kondisi sambungan rumah tangga yang buruk menyebabkan potensi kontaminasi bakteri Escherichia coli akan sangat besar sehingga akan menurunkan kualitas air dan berpotensi menyebabkan penyakit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kondisi sambungan rumah tangga dengan keberadaan bakteri Escherichia coli pada air bersih yang digunakan untuk minum di Kelurahan Bandarharjo, Semarang Utara. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu explanatory research dengan desain cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 41 sambungan rumah tangga dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Analisis statistik menggunakan Chi-Square. Nilai CI 95% dan nilai signifikan (α) 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara keberadaan pipa yang bocor (p-value=0,045; RP= 1,425; 95% CI= 1,036-1,960), kondisi kran yang kotor (p-value=0,0001; RP= 1,023; 95% CI = 0,734-1,424), dan letak kran air yang dekat dengan tumpukan sampah atau selokan (p-value=0,0001;RP=1,023; 95% CI =0,734-1,424) dengan keberadaan bakteri Escherichia coli pada tingkat konsumen. Support with Groups in Social Work: An Interfocal Model for the Understanding and Systematization on Praxis

El trabajo pretende reflejar la mirada de la autora sobre la relación de ayuda, y en particular sobre el acompañamiento con grupos en Trabajo Social. Asimismo, aporta algunas experiencias actuales y rigurosas, para que sirvan de estímulo a nuevas iniciativas de participación grupal y comunitaria. Es una invitación a imaginar y a levantar todos juntos nuevos escenarios de pertenencia constructiva.Además, en coherencia con la mirada o el marco teórico que denomina interfocal, la autora comparte una propuesta de crónica grupal o un modelo de sistematización de la praxis. Una alternativa reflexiva que se puede adaptar y matizar en los diferentes contextos donde se utilice, como ya se está haciendo, con la intención de ayudar al grupo a comprender y acceder al transfondo. Como profesionales se trata de pensar juntos, cooperar y sentir el grupo de modo reflexivo con el propio grupo. Defiende que la metodología con la que trabaja ha de basarse en la investigación-acción participante. Desea que la teoría se viva más como un apoyo y una guía y no como un universo desconocido y alejado de la práctica. Se trata de tender puentes entre el mundo académico y el ámbito profesional; de dibujar, entre todos, un horizonte nuevo y esperanzador, para los profesionales y para las personas con las que trabajamos, en el que el Trabajo Social con grupos tenga una presencia central y necesaria en estos momentos de crisis y de cambio.This article presents the point of view of the author on the help relationship, particularly on supporting groups in Social Works, It provides some current and rigorous experiences as well, that serve to encourage new initiatives for groups and community participation. It is an invitation to imagine and stage new scenes of constructive ownership. Further, congruent with the so-called intermodal perspective or theoretical framework, the author shares a proposal of group chronicling or a praxis systematization model. An alternative for reflection that can be adapted and tailored to different contexts where it is already being used with the intent to help the group understand and access background. As professional, we seek to thing togheter, cooperate and feel the group reflexively with the group itself. She defends the idea that the methodology being used must be based on participant action-research. She shopes that the theory will live as as a support and a guide and not as an unknown universe far from practice. The author seeks to build bridges between the academid and professionaol worlds, to draw, among other things, a new, hopeful perspective for professional and for the people with whom they work, in that Social Work with grups will have a central, necessary presence in these times of crisis and change

PENGARUH DESAIN KANTOR TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS KARYAWAN DI PUSKESMAS BATANG I, II, III DAN IV KECAMATAN BATANG

This study aims to investigate the effect of office design on employee’s productivity at Community Health Centre of Batang I, II, III and IV in Batang Sub-District. The techniques of data analysis in this research includes validity, reliability, classic assumption test, t test, F test, the coefficient of determination and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of five variables office design. Respondents in this study were 118 employees. The results indicates that there are : furniture has positive and significant impact to the employee productivity, noise has negative and not significantly impact to the employee productivity, temperature has positive and significant impact to the employee productivity, lighting has positive and not significantly impact to the employee productivity and spatial arrangements has positive and significant impact to the employee productivity. Based on the result of the F test is known that a significant impact between variable of office design and employee productivity. Office design factors have 46,3% influence on employee productivity at Community Health Centre of Batang I, II, III and IV in Batang Sub-District, while 53,7% are influenced by other factors outside the office design factors. The result of this study can help Community Health Centre of Batang management make improvements or increases to office design factors in order to better employee productivity
