    Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kepala Sekolah dalam Mengelola Sekolah melalui Workshop Total Quality Management dan Supervisi Manajerial di SMP Binaan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam mengelola sekolah melalui workshop total quality management (TQM) dan supervisi manajerial di sekolah binaan. Subyek penelitian tindakan sekolah ini adalah lima orang kepala sekolah yang bertugas pada 1) SMP Al-Mukmin Percut Sei Tuan, 2) SMP Maetreawira Percut Sei Tuan, 3) SMP Amir Hamzah Percut Sei Tuan 4) SMP Al-Maksum Percut Sei Tuan dan 5) SMP Negeri 5 Percut Sei Tuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan sekolah melalui 2 siklus. Teknik analisis data menggunakan perhitungan persentase jumlah kepala sekolah yang mampu menerapkan total quality management dengan jumlah persentase kepala sekolah yang belum mampu menerapkan total quality management. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Kepala SMP Al-Mukmin Percut Sei Tuan yang pada siklus I baru menerapkan 55,56% indikator TQM, namun pada siklus II telah menerapkan 100% indikator TQM; (2) Kepala SMP Maetreawira Percut Sei Tuan, yang pada siklus I baru menerapkan 51,85% indikator TQM, namun pada siklus II telah menerapkan 100% indikator TQM, (3) Kepala SMP Amir Hamzah Percut Sei Tuan yang pada siklus I baru menerapkan 55,56% indikator TQM, namun pada siklus II telah menerapkan 100% indikator TQM, (4) Kepala SMP Al-Maksum Percut Sei Tuan yang pada siklus I baru menerapkan 48,15% indikator TQM namun pada siklus II telah menerapkan 100% indikator TQM, (5) Kepala SMP Negeri 5 Percut Sei Tuan yang pada siklus I baru menerapkan 55,56% indikator TQM, namun pada siklus II telah menerapkan 100% indikator TQM, (8) Kemampuan manajemen kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan TQM meningkat setelah dilakukan workshop dan supervisi manajerial

    Network Effects, Market Structure and Industry Performance

    This paper provides a thorough analysis of oligopolistic markets with positive demand-side network externalities and perfect compatibility. The minimal structure imposed on the model primitives is such that industry output increases in a firm's rivals' total output as well as in the expected network size. This leads to a generalized equilibrium existence treatment that includes guarantees for a nontrivial equilibrium, and some insight into possible multiplicity of equilibria. We formalize the concept of industry viability and show that it is always enhanced by having more firms in the market and/or by technological improvements. We also characterize the effects of market structure on industry performance, with an emphasis on departures from standard markets. As per-firm profits need not be monotonic in the number of competitors, we revisit the concept of free entry equilibrium for network industries. The approach relies on lattice-theoretic methods, which allow for a unified treatment of various general results in the literature on network goods. Several illustrative examples with closed-form solutions are also provided

This study aims to determine the influence of organizational commitment and job satisfaction to absenteeism on employees. This research was conducted over four months from March to June 2012. The research method used is survey method through correlation approach. The study population is an employees of PT. Gikoko Kogyo Indonesia. Achievable population is an employee at departement of production. Sampling technique is a simple random sampling with a sample size of 55 employees. The instrument used to obtain data on the X1 variable (Organizational Commitment) was measured using a likert scale, then a X2 variable (Job Satisfaction) was measured using a likert scale. For the Y Variable (Absenteeism) obtained from the documentation of PT. Gikoko Kogyo Indonesia. Technique of data analysis began by looking for a multiple regression equation and obtained the regression equation Y = 12,437-0,066X1-0,064X2; whereas the normality test requirements analysis by using SPSS 17,0 Sig. values obtained absenteeism of normality of 0,081; organizational commitment of normality of 0,200 and job satisfaction of normality of 0,200 for the Sig. > 0,05 means that the sample came from normality populations. A linierity test by using SPSS 17.0 obtained the values of significant test for absenteeism to organizational is 0,082 and the values of significant test for absenteeism to job satisfaction is 0,328 and 0,05 which means the normal regression model is linier. Partial correlation coeficient value of organizational commitment in the absenteeism of -0,405 and job satisfaction in the absenteeism of -0,488 means both the independent variable on the deendent variable is beeing. Then obtained by simultaneous correlation coefficient 0,762, which means the correlation is strong. Autocorrelation test is obtained at 1,645, which means the value is free from problems of autocorrelation. Multicollinearity tolerance test values obtained for 0,594 and the VIF values of 1,685 and this suggests the model is not the case multicollinearity. Heteroscedasticity test is obtained through a test of orgnizational commitment by Glejser test to 0,102 and job satisfaction to 0,091 so there are no heteroscedasticity. F test obtained through SPSS 17.0 for 36,102 > 3,17 F table with a significance 0,000 < 0,05 and inferred organizational commitment and job satisfaction simultaneously affect absenteeism. Significance test with the organizational commitment to absenteeism with tcount -3,197 and ttable -1,667 for significance 0,002 and job satisfaction to absenteeism with tcount -4,027 and ttable 1,667 for significance 0,000. Because –tcount < -ttable, the researchers conclude there is a negative influence between Organizational commitment to the absenteeism thus there is a negative influence between job satisfaction to the absenteeism. Coeficience of determination test is 0,581 or 58,1%. From the Determination test, the researchers defined that absenteeism are determined by the organizational commitment and job satisfaction yield of 58,1%. Then it can be concluded there are a negetive and significant influence between organizational commitment and job satisfaction on the absenteeism of the employee

Joint responsible agreement procedure that related to loan offer by a member of the coorporation. b. Right and obligation of member of coorporation in loan offer agreement. 2. Why joint responsible agreement can be effective to reduce the bad credit in koperasi mawar putih malang?\ud This research is using sosiologic yuridical approachment method, which are interview and observation to the management and member of koperasi mawar putih malang as data collecting technique and these are primary data. the result from the research will be analized with descriptive analysis.\ud It has been proven that joint respnsible agreement is effective to reduce the bad credit in koperasi mawar putih malang. It can be proven from 1. Joint responsible agreement procedure. this procedure is to offer a loan and it has to be agreed minimum 50 % + 1 or 70 % of member in a particular group. 2. Right and obligation of member in loan offer agreement have the right to get help in payment of loan that had been lent and have to pay the loan they had borrowed through the group guarantor. 3. In fact, joint responsible agreement is effective to reduce the bad credit, and it can be proven in koperasi mawar putih financial report from year 2006, 2007, and 2008. Joint responsible agreement can reduce the bad credit by helping other member of one group loan payment with Joint responsible cash, group cash and member spontanity because completeness of group loan deposit is a particular group responsibility.     MEDQUAL: Improving Medical Web Search over Time with Dynamic Credibility Heuristics

    Performing a search on the World Wide Web (WWW) and traversing the resulting links is an adventure in which one encounters both credible and incredible web pages. Search engines, such as Google, rely on macroscopic Web topology patterns and even highly ranked 'authoritative' web sites may be a mixture of informed and uninformed opinions. Without credibility heuristics to guide the user in a maze of facts, assertions, and inferences, the Web remains an ineffective knowledge delivery platform. This report presents the design and implementation of a modular extension to the popular Google search engine, MEDQUAL, which provisions both URL and content-based heuristic credibility rules to reorder raw Google rankings in the medical domain. MEDQUAL, a software system written in Java, starts with a bootstrap configuration file which loads in basic heuristics in XML format. It then provides a subscription mechanism so users can join birds of feather specialty groups, for example Pediatrics, in order to load specialized heuristics as well. The platform features a coordination mechanism whereby information seekers can effectively become secondary authors, contributing by consensus vote additional credibility heuristics. MEDQUAL uses standard XML namespace conventions to divide opinion groups so that competing groups can be supported simultaneously. The net effect is a merger of basic and supplied heuristics so that the system continues to adapt and improve itself over time to changing web content, changing opinions, and new opinion groups. The key goal of leveraging the intelligence of a large-scale and diffuse WWW user community is met and we conclude by discussing our plans to develop MEDQUAL further and evaluate it

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran disertai video multimedia interaktif pendidikan sejarah berbasis benda cagar budaya dan power point terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial, 2) perbedaan pengaruh gaya belajar (kinestetik, auditori, visual) terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial, dan 3) pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, dilaksanakan di bulan juli 2014, dengan populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar dan tahun pelajaran 2014 yang terdiri dari 5 kelas dengan banyak siswa adalah 135 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran, variabel terikat adalah prestasi belajar siswa dan variable moderator adalah gaya belajar siswa. Validitas instrumen di uji dengan teknik korelasi Product Moment dari Karl Pearson. Data penelitian untuk prestasi ranah kognitif diperoleh melalui tes yang dilaksanakan setelah pembelajaran, sedangkan data gaya belajar diperoleh melalui angket. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Anava dua jalan dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan desain faktorial 2x3. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Ada perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa. Prestasi belajar dengan model disertai video lebih menonjol daripada model konvensional, 2) Ada perbedaan pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa. Pengaruh gaya belajar paling kuat terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif adalah gaya belajar visual baik pada kelas dengan model disertai video maupun konvensional, dan 3) Ada perbedaan pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa. Interaksi yang terjadi adalah interaksi positif karena menunjukkan prestasi belajar kognitif yang lebih baik ketika model pembelajaran berinteraksi dengan gaya belajar
