Nonleptonic Decays of Charmed Mesons into two Pseudoscalar Mesons
We investigate the nonleptonic decay of charmed meson into two pseudoscalar
mesons using the vector--dominance model, and compare the results with those
obtained from the factorization model. In particular, we discuss the role of
the annihilation diagrams in the two models.Comment: 10 pages, UR-1235, ER40685-687, (figures not included
Technological Upgradation in the Informal Manufacturing Sector: Possibilities and Problems
The informal sector in India has consolidated its position in the economy instead of fading away with time. It has taken up the challenges of the new economic dispension with vigorous competitiveness and amazing adaptation & enthusiasm. However, low labour productivity is one of the serious problems related to this sector. It is argued that technological upgradation is likely to solve this problem substantially. This paper attempts to identify the areas within the informal manufacturing sector where such technological upgradation would be fruitful. Several segments and activity groups are identified as Target groups both at the National and Regional level. Associated policies should address availability of proper technology, resource needs for technological upgradation and promoting formal-informal linkages.Informal Sector; Regional Disparity; Productivity; Technology
Complicating Non-Indigeneities and Other Considerations around Race in the Art and Design University
More on Symmetries in Heavy Quark Effective Theory
We present a general classification of all normal and ``chiral" symmetries of
heavy quark effective theories. Some peculiarities and conondrums associated
with the ``chiral" symmetries are discussed.Comment: 15 pages, preprint UR-1320, ER40685-77

Factor XII deficiency - A rare coagulation disorder
Severe coagulation factor XII (FXII) deficiency is a very rare, mysterious, and not well-known inherited condition. Unlike other coagulation factor deficiencies, it is usually asymptomatic in most of the cases. Congenital FXII deficiency is the most common cause of an isolated prolongation of the activated partial thromboplastin time in a non-bleeding child or adult; consequently, most patients are detected during a routine pre-operative coagulation study. Surprisingly, it does not lead to abnormal bleeding, but some cases of severe FXII deficiency experiences thrombotic events in their lifetime. There are only a few reports of FXII deficiency in literature. We are reporting a case of congenital FXII deficiency in a 7-month-old child
Computational Fluid Dynamics in Aerospace Industry in India
The role of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in the design of fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, launch vehicle and missiles in India is explained. Indigenous developments of grid generators, 3-D Euler and Navier-Stokes solvers using state-of-the-art numerical techniques and physical models have been described. Applications of these indigenous softwares for the prediction of various complex aerodynamic flows over a wide range of Mach number, angle of attacks, are presented. Emergence of CFD methods as an efficient tool for aerospace vehicle design is highlighted.Defence Science Journal, 2010, 60(6), pp.639-652, DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.14429/dsj.60.58
GRID INTEGRATION OF SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM USING 25LEVEL SUB-MULTILEVEL INVERTER.
The sub-multilevel electrical inverter could be a replacement topology for multilevel Inverters that are improved or advanced multilevel inverter topology. The projected sub-multilevel inverter uses a reduced range of switching devices and series association within the Power circuit while not compensating the levels. The multilevel inverters are within the center of attraction for the researchers in recent years. this is often owing to it holds advantageous feature to produce improved power quality. The proposed scheme of 25Level sub-multilevel electrical inverter tends to produce a generalized kind to the multilevel inverters that may produce a nearly sinusoidal output voltage. output voltage quality depends on the number of voltage levels of the inverter. Special attention is required to induce the most effective sub-multilevel concerning criteria just like the range of switches, standing voltage on the switches, the range of DC voltage sources, number of output voltage levels on switches and so. the foremost motivation behind this inverter topology is to realize the high power quality, low total harmonic distortion, less magnetic attraction interference, lesser the higher power stability, and reliability. The Simulation strategies of voltage responses and THD responses for asymmetric and symmetric photovoltaic array associated with the three-phase 25-level CSMLI(cascaded Sub- multilevel Inverters) are being carried under the MATLAB environment
