Членство Українського Історичного Товариства (1965 – 1991): структура та склад

У статті розглядається структура членства Українського історичного товариства, методи діяльності УІТ з метою збереження інформації про вчених діаспори. Товариство об’єдналорізні покоління вчених, що уможливило обмін думками та досвідом і сприяло розвиткові наукових досліджень. (In this article author reviews the structure of Ukrainian Historical Association, methods of the UHA’s activity to preserve information about scholars of Diaspora. Ukrainian Historical Association has united scholars of different generations which enabled the exchange of thoughts and experience and facilitated the development of scientific researches.

Співпраця українських вчених у Німеччині (The cooperation of Ukrainian scholars in Germany (1965–1991))

В статті йдеться про діяльність українських істориків – членів осередку Українського історичного товариства в Німеччині. Форми діяльності включали проведення наукових конференцій, часто у співпраці з іншими українськими та неукраїнськими інституціями, конгресів, в т.ч. до 1000-ліття Хрещення України-Руси. (This article is dedicated to the activity of a group of Ukrainian historians – members of the Ukrainian Historical Association in Germany. The forms of activity included holding scholarly conferences, often in cooperation with other Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian institutions, congresses, including the one devoted to the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Ukraine-Rus.

ОПИСОВО-СТАТИСТИЧНІ ДЖЕРЕЛ А З ІСТОРІЇ МІСТ ЗАСЛАВЩИНИ ПОЧАТКУ XVII СТ. (Descriptive and statistical historical sources of the towns of Zaslav region of the early XVII century.)

У статті розглядаються інформативні можливості описово-статистичних документів Заславської волості першої половини XVII ст. як джерела вивчення історії міст регіону. Показано динаміку та особливості урбанізаційного процесу. Звернуто увагу на аграрну складову занять міщан Заславщини та її роль у розвитку міського господарства. Показано важливість свідчень ряду джерел Заславського походження для розгляду проблеми забезпечення міщанських господарств землею та робочою худобою, а, відтак, і можливостей ведення в них рільництва. (During the first half of the XVI century only a few new cities arose in South-Eastern Volyn, while in the second half of the century there are already five new towns in Zaslav region. During the first half of the XVII century three more towns are founded. However, not all urban planning initiatives of the late XVI – first half of XVII centuries were entirely successful. More than half of the bourgeois used the land, combining agricultural activities with purely urban. For the bourgeois farming had to be connected with trade. Arable farming and keeping livestock could occur in middle-class manor-farms. 1625 inventory of Zaslav region records evidence of a number of cities, including the numbers of cattle kept by the bourgeois. There is important evidence of a number of Zaslav inventories used to study the consistency of a family, and number of inhabitants in a house. Different sides of the history of Volynian towns can be studied, based on the inventories of Zaslav region.
